When I went to the Student Book Mart. It’s really cool and nice how they have a shuttle from Cal State LA to the book mart. This just makes it easier for us to get there and they come drop us off back to the university. The people there are really nice and helpful. Recommend going.

Three for having the selection of book you need for school do for having them cheaper than school. However their return policy is total nonsense, give students a little leeway and don’t insult us with your low buyback prices

I don’t know if their hours are different in summer but it’s closed today June 20th When we called their message said that for this week their hours are Monday thru Thursday 8 am to 7 pm and Friday from 9 to 3. They will be open sat June 28th from 9 –2… Wish we knew that before driving all the way from the valley. Anyway Hope this helps someone not take an unnecessary trip.

They have a free shuttle service on the first week of the quarter! The shuttle service is south of the administration building next to the CSULA sign. The driver gave me a coupon, so I was able to get $ 2.00 off my $ 30.00 when paying CASH. The more you spend the bigger the discount. There are no lines here and it beats waiting for 45 minutes at the campus bookstore! Check this place out while the free shuttle service is running! They also have a gated parking lot if you are worried about safety.

THis place is great!!! THey have free shuttle service to and from campus so u dont have to finagle parking after losing a coveted spot on campus. Plus its open early, lines are short, books are inexpensive, super friendly and helpful staff, and ur supporting small business! The pluses just keep adding up!

They bought my books when CSULA wouldn’t… and that’s all I needed.

When I was an undergraduate at CSULA, this book store was the next best thing, but not much! Simultaneously, this place was a pain in the butt! The books they sell are not up to date! They were times I had to return books for the reason given. Selling obsolete books is an inconvenience! What ever happen to customer empathy over here? It may have the same cover, but it may not be the latest edition! Check it out meticulously. Then, you have people working here think they know more than we students! Hogwash! A sarcastic woman working there, tells me, «why are you looking for the books down on the floor?» And I had replied, «because there is none on the shelf!» Then, I suggested to her, «someone needs to stock it,» as I grabbed the required book I needed on the floor. She was flabbergasted, as she began to stock the books on the self. It’s one thing of helping a customer out, but another to deprecate the customer with sarcasm. As the adage goes, «never judge a book by its cover.» Go one step further, and apply this to humans. Amazing isn’t it?
