Very nice spot to sit and enjoy endless refills, but unfortunately I found the coffee to be on the weak side. While staying at a B&B up the street, I began my mornings there(the B & B didn’t offer coffee or beverages). With a shot in the dark, the coffee was good enough. Ann waited on me most mornings and is a sweetie. This is not a good place for those in a rush. Everything is made to order… Breakfast sandwiches, etc… Only one person works the counter and there can be a wait for breakfast. If you are wanting a relaxing spot to sit and think, write ir catch up on life, this is a great spot with lots of tables and even outdoor seating.

After a very filling brunch at Grub, cubbie wanted to take me to get coffee. Completely walkable from Seward Street. As we walked past a drive-thru Starbucks with a massive line, cubbie said, «there’s better coffee at Stir Crazy.» And I agree that it’s nice to get away from chains like Starbucks to enjoy your coffee. Stir Crazy is a cute and cozy place on Melrose, with indoor and outdoor(about 2 – 3 tables worth of) seating. In addition to coffee, they have some desserts on hand as well. I enjoyed a iced coffee(black) while splitting a lemon bundt cake. Very chill place to get some coffee, catch up, and people watch. Since I walked over, I didn’t particular look out if they have a parking lot. There is some street parking in the front. Otherwise, do what I did and park near Grub and enjoy the walk over. =p

Here on a Tuesday morning, there are about 10 other people here having breakfast or doing work. Coffee is pretty good, free wifi is quick, there is easy jazz background music, the tables are small but so is the whole shop; the food looks pretty good but I didn’t get anything. Overall it’s a decent environment to get work done if you can work through other people’s conversations and the coffee machine whirring noise.

Great staff and food. I’m not much of a coffee drinker but I love the sandwiches here. Especially the High Society(egg, smoked salmon, red onion, cream cheese). Fernando is the best!

The ratings brought me to this location. It’s perfect for when I want to get things done during the day! A Hispanic man attended me and he delivered excellent customer service! I got a hot chocolate and a brownie and they were both good! This café is not noisy which is awesome and during the day, it has good lighting! There are also outdoor tables which is also a plus especially for those beautiful summer days in LA! There is metered parking around which isn’t too expensive! The only downside to this café I would say is the lighting at night, they don’t have enough light so I feel like it’s fun but other than that, I really like this café and it is not overpriced like most places in LA and in the Hollywood area! I recommend this place, if you want to be productive!

Came here in the morning because I had an appointment in the area and wow this coffee shop is great! They got great drip coffee and they kept refilling my cup. I had the breakfast sandwich on a sesame bagel and it was so tasty. The wifi is free and fast and the staff is super friendly! Definitely will go back.

Spending my Friday night Coffee Shop Hopping and stumbled across this gem. By far the best chai tea latte I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is calm and quiet enough to get work done but not library-esque quiet. Will most definitely be coming back here!

Came in late on Thursday night and it was really dark inside so I wasn’t sure how this place would be. But I really underestimated how good their coffee would be! I was drunk and tried to sober up by having some coffee(lol) and it was surprisingly very tasty! I also had a bagel + cream cheese + lox which was really good. They have wifi and plenty of outlets so I did some homework, or tried to anyway. The man at the counter was super friendly and nice :) + There’s parking in the back!

Totally reminds me of cafes I used to frequent in college. It’s got that homey, slightly dingy(?) feel(and i mean that dingy in a good way). Great for grad students and ppl wanting to get work done. There seems to be an unspoken culture here of keeping things quiet. Everyone had earphones which i appreciated. I’d definitely be back

Do not go here! Barista is not friendly at all, chi latte has absolutely no flavor and only tastes like milky water at its best, café moca is bitter also. How do places like this stay in business other than there is nothing else close.

COZY, QUAINT, ANDCHARMING. This place is THE neighborhood spot! It has a very homey and inviting vibe, and all the patrons seem to be regulars. There is art from local artists adorning the entire space of the coffee shop. The place has got character! The staff and service is spectacular. You feel like you are in your friend’s breakfast nook having coffee and breakfast. The barristers go around with a freshly brewed pot of hot coffee to top everyone off regularly. Who doesn’t love bottomless coffee?! I ordered their Breakfast Special: Rancheros Breakfast Sandwich and opted for a baguette instead of croissant. + Racheros Breakfast Sandwich — Egg, salsa, cheese, avocado — hold the ham. It was a very simple but tasty breakfast. The baguette was soft, the egg was fluffy, the avocado was super fresh and perfectly ripe, and the portion is very big.

Great solo studying area. My initial thoughts while walking in was that it was a bit small but I liked that everyone was quiet and seemed to be focused on their books or computers. The tables are rather close to each other so I hope your not shy if small talk should start. I went at night and I liked that all of the shops lighting was not to bright and harsh. Two lights over head with fans and Christmas lights on the entrance, made it feel very homey. There is outdoor sitting and the chair were surprisingly comfy, though if you need it to be quiet while you’re study, I suggest you sit inside. The shop is on a main high traffic street, that can get rather noisey. I tried the mocha latte with two shots and was thankful the chocolate was not overpowering the coffee. I like my coffee strong so I might get it with another shot next time. I think I’ll try the Chai Latte next. It’s street parking only so be sure to read the signs!()/cheers!

Chai Tea Lattes and Coffee while having discussions about being in the«industry» — People watching at its finest! — Coffee was pretty good. — Chai Tea latte was okay… could have used more spice. — Free wifi — Outdoor seating — Need a trashcan outside… couldn’t find one when we needed to throw away our used cups. — Metered Street Parking

Came here on a Wednesday night around 9pm because besides a Starbucks near me, all the other coffeeshops that are good for work are basically closed. I’m so glad I ventured east. It has a limited but good food selection. Service is good. I didn’t have any trouble finding street parking. Lots of small individual tables to get a lot of laptop work done. Also a few small tables outside for those that don’t mind the passing traffic on Melrose. In general, it’s for people who aren’t planning to work. Inside, there are a million outlets to plug your computer in. Seriously, probably more outlets than there are tables… haha. In any case, I ordered an Orange Julius. It was OK. I’m sure the coffee drinks would have been better. The mint green tea was also decent. I happened to order a breakfast sandwich at 9pm because, well… why not? It was delicious. Toasted wheat bread with lots of egg, tomatoes, and bacon. Hmmm…$ 3.50. The lighting is a bit dark, but it’s kind of romantic when you’re doing work :-) Anyways, I can see this place not being for everyone, but it’s one of the few good cafes good for work and snacking in the Weho/Melrose area.
