Shay is the absolute best! During my five day stay at the Sheraton she had me cracking up. She will dance while making drinks and is just the absolute sweetest. Can’t say enough good things about her. It’s nice to get a drink at 5 am and have someone chippy and happy like her working. Shay keep rocking! You were the highlight of my stay.

Visited this location several times. Drinks are great. Customer service is not that friendly. Never greet customers. Not very attentive. I was standing right in front of the register and it took minutes until someone came to get my order. There were always 2 – 4 baristas chit chat & texting. I would say I got wrong drinks 2 – 3 times from this location because they weren’t pay attention to what I ordered and baristas didn’t seem they were willing to fix it for me.

You may want to stop due to the fact it’s not another on in this side. The line will be long so make sure you have the extra time in between fights…

I only order coffee, so keep that in mind. I don’t have a need to buy food at Starbucks and I rarely get those fancy drinks. I’ve been going to this Starbucks 1 – 2 times a week for about 2 years now(even during their construction phase.) What I love about this place is that the employees are so cool. Every single employee is super nice. I work in the area and I actually skip over the Starbucks just down from my office, to come to this one. The reason: the staff is cool and they have all 3 roasts at all times throughout the day. This is how a neighborhood coffee shop should be. It should be inviting and nice. The place is relaxed and pretty easy going. It’s super cool that they cater to everyone with light, med. and dark roasts brewing all day.

It’s appears that this store handles mass amounts of people, because of conferences within the hotel, because they had everyone in and out in a hot minute! Loved that they had a sense of urgency

I work near this Starbucks so I’m definitely a frequent visitor. I’m currently reading other reviews, and it appears other people find that the prices are hiked up. I haven’t really noticed this, but I could also be completely oblivious to it, mostly, I’m sure, due to my urgent and uncontrollable daily need of a hit of caffeine. Nonetheless, the place is clean and the employees are nice. Honestly, what more can you ask for? Lots of international people at this location, due to the fact that it’s within the Sheraton hotel that’s near the LAX airport. Also, if one of the employees reads this, I’m the reason your honey condiment supply runs low. Thank you for this wonderful stash in my work drawer. ;)

They DONOT have an OVEN. That means they do not toast your bread. It was about 5:30am when I purchase a bagel at this location. The barista gave me a COLD Bagel! Not only it is NOTTOASTED but it was also STRAIGHT from the FRIDGE. Not happy

Not Starbucks owned. $ 6 for grande soy late! Will not redeem Starbucks free drinks. Very dirty place and no outside window. Very disappointing

Yes the prices are hiked up, but the convenience of having a Starbucks in the lobby is worth it. The baristas are much more relaxed and welcoming, a stark comparison to phoney smiles of the ones at other locations. They have all your usual Starbucks goodies. I was glad to see oatmeal for a healthy breakfast.

This Starbucks is in the lobby of a major hotel just steps away from LAX. When there are conference attendees, expect a long line. The management is smart enough to staff the location well. However, the prices are outrageous! Almost twice as much as a regular Starbucks that would not be found in a tourist/business stop. I recommend stopping on your way if its for a conference. If you need the coffee, wait until you see the line has gone down to save 20 minutes.

Overpriced. More expensive than any other Starbucks, but its the closest to my office so I go. The staff is super friendly and always provides great service!

The drink was perfect and the baristas were incredibly nice and helpful. They gave me directions to the best place to watch the planes take off so I could watch my friend’s flight as he left, and that place has become one of my favorites to visit when I’m in the area. I find plane-watching relaxing. Thanks, Starbucks baristas!

I don’t remember a grande latté costing $ 4.80. Do you? I think they jack up the prices because they are located in the Sheraton right by LAX… location location location. Other then that, it’s a Starbucks. don’t you go to one because you already know what to expect?

Here I thought I was being cool by using my phone instead of my card to pay. Poor people have to punch in the numbers to your Scan Code. I felt bad having to make the guy punch in the numbers. The people here are really sweet. And they’re fast. It’s a busy spot so close to the airport and being in the hotel lobby. But I give them kudos.

Was dropping off friends at the airport and needed to grab coffee before going to work. Was surprised to see how inflated the prices were at this particular Starbucks. Turns out it’s because it’s co-owned by the Sheraton and Starbucks. Since the Sheraton has to pay a premium for the Starbucks brand, the price gets trickled down to the consumer. Since the prices were so high, I just got a Pike Roast Coffee which tasted like water. Overall it’s an okay Starbucks that gets most of it’s service from the hotel visitors. If you have the choice, go to a different Starbucks and pay the typical Starbucks premium, not an inflated one.

Not really a fan. My mom was visiting an orthopedic surgeon across the street and she asked me to run over and grab coffee. I approached the counter and was the only one in line. Ordering took a while because the cashier had to finish up her personal conversation, then search for a marker, then argue with the barista over to whom a specific marker belonged, etc. I finally ordered and she asked if I worked in the area. I would normally be honest and say no, but since they screwed around so long, I said I did and got 10% off. Good thing I did. A venti caramel macchiato was $ 5.55! That’s about $ 1 more than the average Starbucks. Also, our caramel macchiatos had no caramel sauce in them. Literally none. Too bad I didn’t notice until I had walked all the way back across the street. Iffy service, outrageous prices. Dress somewhat nicely so you can get the 10% discount. You’ll need it.

This is a Starbucks, so it starts off with a maximum of 3 stars from me anyway. It’s overpriced for what it is and their coffee tastes burnt, but that is balanced out by the fact that I do enjoy their frappuccinos(= guilty pleasure) and the staff here is very friendly. Moreover, they tend to automatically apply some sort of discount, which is much appreciated. This location loses a star because they no longer seem to participate in any of the corporate promotions like the ½ price frappuccino Happy Hour that’s supposed to be going on now(May 4 – 13, 2012). They make enough by gouging their customers selling their mediocre products throughout the year. Surely they can afford to throw us a half-priced product for nine days out of the year. Lame. Ownership should rethink its decision to not participate in these customer appreciation promotions. It’s not like they have customers lined up out the door, looking for a caffeine fix at 3pm in the afternoon anyway. Would you rather sell up to seven half-priced fraps, or zero at full price? Because that’s how many I would buy from this location for the foreseeable future.

Things have obviously changed since the last Unilocal review here, as I had a completely pleasant experience. My latte was well made and the service was fantastic. The ladies working there seemed to be having a great time, and their banter put a smile on my face. Not a bad way to start a business trip.
