I’ve never felt the need to write a review before, but I felt obligated after my experience with Dr. Bierman. My visit to his office was by far the worse Dr. visit I of my life. No exaggeration. It started with me sitting in the waiting room listening to someone verbally berated someone else down the hall. I would later find out that«someone» was Dr. Bierman talking to one of his patients. His bedside manner was exactly as the other reviewers described. He was cranky, arrogant, and didn’t take the time to listen to me explain the reason for my visit. However, I could have looked passed all of the that. I was seeing Dr. Bierman about a very rare skin condition, and my thought going in was he’s an expert in the field and if he can treat my symptoms, great, I could care less about his bed side manner. The treatment I received was anything but acceptable. After describing my symptoms he had me sort through books with him trying to research what he thought the problem might be, and in the end he made a diagnosis and treatment plan off of a google search. He then told me I needed to do a skin biopsy to be certain of what the condition was, something that I later found out from a different specialist was totally unnecessary. The biopsy was done in a dirty unkept«operating room», I was given no explanation of how to care for the wound, and when I left his office that afternoon I got downstairs and I started bleeding all over myself because he failed to cauterize the wound properly.
The experience was so terrible that as I stood outside his office bleeding all over myself I decided to take myself to an urgent care center rather then take the elevator back up to let him try to re-cauterize the wound. When my skin pathology report finally came back Dr. Bierman’s office issued me a report with my skin condition on it but another patients name and area of issue. That was a $ 450 test that they issued incorrectly. I am a pretty easy going guy, and I don’t complain about much, but I have yet to experience any health care service or customer service of any kind as disappointing and awful as treatment I received from Dr. Bierman.

I started going to Dr Bierman in the late 70’s and stopped in about 1999. He is knowledgable, that cannot be denied. But more arrogant than anyone else I have ever met. The last time I was in his office was such an ordeal. At the time, his wife ran the front office. Heaven help that woman. I don’t even remember all the details of that visit. Just how horrible he was to me and my husband. Trying to scare us about some rare cancer he thought my husband had. We now go to a wonderful and kind woman who has a great bedside manner and I feel that she genuinely cares about me and my family.

Wow I think I’m the first to write a review about this guy. Hmmm where do I start. Going to Dr. Bierman was like visiting a character out of a Seinfeld episode. He is cranky to the point where you just felt like saying, freakin retire if you don’t want to be around people! Tried even to get this guy to smile, nope not happening with him. I’m not saying Dr Bierman doesn’t know what he is doing, he is definately very very smart. But if you want personality, kindness, or any type of emotion I think that left him about 20 years ago. I felt like the office visit was, Wham Bam, Thank Ya Mam. Go to him if you want but you have been warned.
