Super sweet and kind owners! Always willing to help and order more of my favorite beer if they are running low. Plus they have michelada cups which seems to be hard to find around downtown. I just wished they stayed open a little later.:)

It be nicer for the neighborhood if Sorrento would stop selling to folks who drink outside the store and leave their empties for others to pick up and pee in the bushes. Not a good neighbor.

Sorrento Liquor is located on the corner of Bunker Hill and Cesar Chavez, teetering on the border between the Downtown and Chinatown districts of Los Angeles. The store is cramped, and the hours are odd(My best guess is 8am — 8pm Monday — Saturday… with them often not sticking to a strict guideline of when to close). However, the owners, Tom and Nancy, are the sweetest couple you’ll ever meet. They’re always there, with smiles on their faces, treating customers with kindness and respect. My roommates and I love this place for that reason.

i’m giving them 5 stars because for the kind of store it is, it’s perfect. small, family run(they’re there all the time & always with a smile) and they’ve got much more than the eye can see! don’t be afraid to ask if they have something, they hold a lot(particularly toiletries & other various items) behind the counter. i live up the street and it really is a great, reliable little market for beer/liquor, snacks, toiletries, even basic groceries & needs. love their friendly, hard-working attitude. can’t imagine my house w/out the corner store :)

Great family owned small grocery that seems to have a little of everything! A good place to pick up a 6 pack or liquor along with a variety of foods/household items that you may need. The folks who run it are kind and truly appreciate your business.

If you’re looking for amazing selections and crazy cocktail mixers, you’ve come to the wrong place. If what you need is a 750 of something standard or a six-pack of a decent beer after a long day when you don’t want to do anything but sit down, this is the place. No-nonsense liquor store with two fantastic owners. Not a ton to choose, but plenty of imported beers worth trying out.
