Smart & Final

Honestly I come here for two things because they are pretty much exclusive to Smart and Final. Dodger Dogs and Island Way Fruit sorbets. Both are fantastic. Unfortunately most of the candy comes in bundles so I just got Ralphs.

I think people are a little too hard on this store. The location is awful, it’s right across the street from the county office so if that doesn’t tell you something…
I came here on a whim, I’m never in this area but seeing a familiar Smart & Final sign was a sigh of relief. The inside of the store is just like any other Smart & Final but with 5x the amount of customers in it! So yes the lines are long but the quality of customer service and food is the same. I couldn’t find what I was looking for so I seeked some help from whom I’m assuming is the manager because he was wearing a different color shirt. He was super helpful directed me where I needed to go but while he was assisting me I kid you not he was interrupted about 3x by rude customers. Now I was raised to be respectful and wait my turn but these customers would just ask something in the middle of me asking something or him telling me where to find it. He didn’t seem as frustrated as I was which makes me believe that this happens all the time. Then while I was in line I witnessed a man trying to steal cheese! And when the cashier confronted him about it he got mad at her! She handled herself in a respectable manner which was very admirable.
So based on the employees I encountered and the appearance of the store I give them 5 stars. You have to have thick skin to work here because the customers in this store are not always right.

An employee form This specific location is racist. He comes to my Store to order food. There was a black woman behind him while he was ordering and he kept looking back at her as if she was about to
«Rob» him. As soon as she left he said «you can never trust those N***** and you never know what they are about to do, you just never know «. And day he came I asked him what location he worked at and he told me this one. He said «they are a bunch of animals over there». I will not shop t tis location while he is there! He is
An elderly man

They have a horrible customer service. Workers moving in slow motion, hanging around and only one cashier open when there is a line of over 10 people. Never come here after work. Unless you don’t mind being in line for over 30 min.

OK I have no problem with buying grocery’s here and no problem with customer service here, the problem is after I had got my Items in my cart and was pushing to my jeep on the street a force field stop me and that cart on a dime! I said @#%&$ then it came to me the cart lock the wheels so it can not be taken off the lot, I was not about to carry 9 heavy bags, so I kindly lift the front up to push it and low and be hold the back wheels were lock too I said #@$#@ long story short I did get that shopping cart to my jeep (you should have seen me) hats off to Smart & Final alarm system on the shopping carts.

Smart and Final in other areas are better stocked, this store is very tiny. An item that was purchased at another store was more expensive at this location. Don’t get the logic. Pretty sure this was my last trip to this store.
