Just left a 30-minute session here and I am very happy about the experience. The owner was very helpful and encouraging as we went over my problem areas. I left feeling more confident about getting on a snowboard on my upcoming trip.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first came here. I had read about it in a news story and I’ve always wanted to be a better snowboarder(1−2x a season isn’t enough to get good). Alex, my instructor, was super nice and explained everything in great detail. I brought my own boots and he hooked me into the snowboard bindings on the machine. There is a rail in front of you that you can use to grab onto to steady yourself which is pretty awesome. The first few minutes were spent getting me used to the machine and how it moves. «The board» itself rocks side to side to simulate toe and heel edge, and the entire apparatus moves side to side on a track as you gain momentum. Getting used to the machine and trusting it took some time. After about 10mins I was able to let go of the rail without thinking I was going to faceplant immediately. Alex took me through several drills and body positions and explained everything in great detail. At the end of the lesson he fired up the simulator screen and I got to go down a bunny hill. It’s a great environment to learn to snowboard or to improve your skills. It’s a safe environment, not as cold as the mountain and your instructor can see you the whole time without having to watch out for other people coming at him or falling themselves. After a few more sessions here, I can’t wait to hit the slopes this season to be a better and more confident boarder. it’s a great workout and a ton of fun!

I recently conducted a 30 minute training session here, and I feel more confident to hit the slopes as a first time snowboarder. The two instructors were more than patient with me — and I learned quite a bit of how to balance on the board. I recommend wearing comfortable gym clothing — you ARE going to sweat. If you have your own boots(ski or snowboarding) — it’s encouraged for the customer to bring their own. They do have boots there too. The virtual slopes was a trip but made the experience that much for realistic. I love the low flying helicopter that pops in every so often. This place is a must go — a bit pricey, but well worth it. It’s better than failing miserably on the slopes.
