Shirley P Franklin DDS

I absolutely recommend Dr. Frank Shirley to all my friends and family. He has been my dentist for over 30 years now! He is a UCLA trained dentist and has been in the same location on Gayley Avenue in Westwood Village for the time I have known him. Dr. Shirley will actually come in on a weekend if you are experiencing pain — who does that anymore? He is extremely competent and keeps up-​to-​date with the newest techniques. Dr. Shirley cares about the health of your teeth and keeps you looking your best! Thank you Dr. Shirley for all the wonderful years of amazing dentistry.

Dr. Shirley seems to really enjoy being a dentist. He is intrigued by the process and learning some new detail about his profession. His cell phone number is listed on his answering machine and he WILL call you back, even if you are not an existing patient. His office is not the most palatial, he has never been on a reality TV show (except maybe one about his beloved sports cars) and he often works alone without all the ego boosting, and bill padding, support staff that many dentists have. He doesn’t accept several kinds of insurance, but I still go to see him every six months — even though I now live way across town in Hollywood. He has always been scrupulously fair about the bill and I’ve never felt he pushed any un-​needed treatments on me.
If you want a guy that SEEMS like a TV dentist, go elsewhere. If you want someone who actually cares about your teeth and making you healthier, call Dr. Shirley.
