Sweet guys. Very helpful. I love these shoes. They are well made and made to fit even odd feet like mine. I have always hated buying shoes, but it was a pleasure today. They are not cheap but you get what you pay for.

I never thought I would find myself leaving a five star review for a shoe store because shoes just aren’t made for me. I have gigantic monster feet for a lady and can walk through a DSW or Nordstrom and be unable to buy anything. If you need wide width shoes for work, this is the place. The store manager is an absolute sweetheart and sat with me for at least an hour helping me figure out my feet and providing great advice about care and fit. He even helped me out with a discount and a complimentary shoe horn. While the shoes are not particularly stylish – you aren’t going to find footwear for clubbing or go go dancing – they are functional and durable. They’re basically«nurse shoes» but if you are on your feet a lot all day at work then it is well worth it to invest in a pair of these. Before I found SAS I used to have to hide tennis shoes under pant legs at work to find shoes that fit. Now I have work appropriate shoes and even a pair of wide width leather loafers that I can wear with skirts. I know that if there is ever an emergency at work or a car breaking down I don’t have to worry about hurting feet. I’ve pounded up and down staircases and gone on long walks at lunch with no problems. Strongly recommended if you have gigantaur feet like me.

This store has been here for ages. It’s in a mini– mall on the corner of Pico and Sepulveda with a good donut store and great La Salsa nearby. But I digress! They have so many comfortable shoes, and not just grandma-looking corrective types. I like that the inner soles can be removed(from the ones I’m familiar with) so that orthotics can be put in. Recently, Sterling waited on me. What a nice gentleman. Very sincere, helpful but never pushy. He will express his(educated) opinion on what shoes might bring you the most comfort. Another man there was helpful to shoppers, as well, the day I was in, and a nice and helpful woman has assisted me in the past. Long ago, I was waited on by someone who seemed like, ‘Ho– hum, another woman complaining about bad feet.’ Bored and sort of disdainful. Just something I sensed. But not so, in my recent positive experiences. Yes, these shoes are on the costly side. But they are well made. I have several pairs of sandals and walking shoes. And, Thanks again to Sterling — genuine, low key and nice personality. Easy parking in front of the store, by the way.

Top quality shoes with some new, stylish options. Terrific leg support. If you have wide feet, this place is a treasure. No bunions, no corns, leg support. Hat tip: Wait for the twice yearly sales.

I spent almost $ 200 for a pair of SAS shoes. Within 3 months time, the toes had worn out and the Velcro fasteners stopped working. I called SAS store at Pico, and they told me «Sorry, the shoes only come with a 30 day warranty». So I emailed the factory in San Antonio, TX, and they told me to send back the shoes to them. A month later, they emailed me and quoted me a price of almost $ 100 to fix the shoes. Now, $ 200 was a lot of money to cough up for a pair of their shoes in the first place, but to spend $ 100 of good money after bad on a defective manufactured item, I don’t think so… SAS can keep my shoes. Update 3÷27÷41: SAS sent me a new pair of replacement shoes for free. But I had to talk them into it. They’re comfortable shoes, I just can’t wear them for work, or riding a bicycle, or riding a motorcycle, and probably not getting them wet. And the dang Velcro fasteners always come loose.

I recently had a foot injury and my Dr. sent me here to get reinforced shoes. The staff is very friendly and knew what would help me. Even though most people think of Sas as only good for older people, a lot of the styles are up to date and look just fine.

Hands down the best place to take your parents/grandparents for comfy shoes. I did plenty of research before heading out to this store… They make VERY good QUALITY shoes. My mom and grandmother were having a difficult time finding comfortable shoes. After I bought them some pairs of SAS shoes, they were ecstatic. The shoes aren’t cheap. I think I paid around $ 120-$ 150 per pair for them — but my goodness, it was worth every penny. It’s a cute little store. I would recommend visiting their website before making a trip out to a store, though. If you’re expecting the latest trends or something of the like, you’ll be disappointed. DOASKFORSTEVE. He helped us out for both visits and he was incredibly nice and helpful.

So my sister and I came in here to pick up a pair of shoes for ma mere. Now, SAS isn’t her everyday steelo, but comfortable shoes is comfortable shoes… I suspect when we get to her age — we’ll all have one staple SAS pair of shoes. This store is so cute. It’s a throwback in time — in every way. They decorate it with very old trinkets and posters. They even have a popcorn machine that pops real popcorn — free to customers(although I didn’t partake) and there are free refreshments(not the freshest refresments) like coffee & water. Also, they have small bowls of peppermint & butterscotch candy(which made me chuckle b/c those 2 hard candies are staples for senior citizens) Anyways, I have never in my life seen so many employees for a store like this. I mean, you would think you were in a Forever 21 for senior citizen shoes. They must work on commission because like white on rice — wherever we turned — they were there asking if we needed help, which was kind of annoying but since most of them 60+ of age — how can you be short with them? Too cute & too sweet. Great customer service(but again — this could be because they work on commission?). Also, they are so old school, the receipt was written on a piece of paper. We did purchase with a credit card tho.
