Everything I am about to tell you might sound bad, but it’s what makes this place so charming. First off– you like Burger King? The cheeseburger I just tried from Sandy Burger tasted like Burger King. Now, I(for one) have given up fast food a long time ago because I don’t understand how the whole industry works– but I do know a lot of people don’t like it so I avoid the food. So, the fact that I just had a burger that reminded me of times my mom drove through the drive-thru at the corner of Lorain and Canterbury in North Olmsted, Ohio– made me very happy. The lady was very nice who made the burger and took our order. She also cooks right in front of you, so if you’re one of those that like to see everything being done to your food– you can be an audience member here. Cash Only! Which usually ticks off some people that don’t realize cash only places are usually cheap places. Which, five dollars burgers– hard to come by in this persnickety city. Hole in the wall? No. More like Burger Closet on the Blvd. But, I’ll be back. I’d probably give it a 3 ½ stars if I could with the eventual upgrade as I scratch the greasy, flat-top spot itch I get(usually on nights involving beer instead of whiskey). Enjoy.

I have been here twice and had the chicken fried rice and the cheeseburger combo and both were very tasty! It may be a little longer wait than your normal fast food fare, but it is worth the wait. Fries were also crispy and well-seasoned!

I love Sandy Burger! I used to work on Hollywood & Vine when I first moved to California and of course had to try this place during lunch as its across the street. Its like another reviewer said, can’t not like burger made on a grill thats made milllions of other burgers. Its fresh, made to order, from the meat to the veggies… basically like a backyard BBQ burger but made on a electric flat grill, not BBQ’d. Its your typical, cash only Mom & Pop place on Hollywood Blvd, the fries are good but the burger is very tasty, NOT fast food type of burger. The owner is awesome… unfortunatly the asian guy is ill and does not work there anymore, but his wife does…(or daughter). Try this place out, I garuntee anyone who likes good ol’ American burgers will like this place!

Some of the best chicken teriyaki I’ve had in a long time. The place is very small and dingy but I could care less. It’s a classic hole in the wall home cooking type place. Sandy actually runs that place by herself and is extremely nice. I’m looking forward to trying her burgers. I will be back.

There is nothing like a burger that is made from a grille that has seen millions of burgers, haha, Sandy always brags that she has the best burgers in Hollywood and I would have to agree with her. She’s always friendly even though their are many drunk people in the evening who I can’t tolerate and that’s because I am a restaurant manager in the area. I have yet to try out any of the Chinese because, every time I think of Sandy’s, I’m always craving a burger…

Old Run down burger stand, that serves Asian food as well. The food is good, the prices are good, and the Woman who runs the stand is super friendly. Nothing spectacular, it is what it is, but I enjoy it Everytime I go.

Check out the«Hot Pup Organic Kimchee Burger» here! You can also eat this awesome authentic kimchee on a hot dog. I chatted up the lady in Korean and the kimchee is handmade by a grandmother in Koreatown! Finally the real thang! Artisanal kimchee!

Sandy Burger is one of those extremely old burger joints which now has asian food as well. There’s one lady running the place who is very nice. The place itself is too small, it truly is a hole in the wall and way too dirty but the food is acceptable. The chicken tasted kinda funky but i’d rather get the burgers and fries. It’s worth a try, prices are fair, and it’s a fun location.

Only a 4star because I tried the teriyaki chicken burrito, I forgot the name, but it was DELICIOUS! Besides the fact that its a tiny little momNpop place(with all do respect, a ‘hole-in-the-wall’) the lady making the food was very friendly and recommended the burrito. It tasted great! I’ll come back again for sure. No cards tho, ONLYCASH

Place is extremely dirty and old. I mean come on place is so tiny atleast try to keep it clean. Place has a B grade. I ordered a burger one day and I saw 4 cockroaches running around I just paid for my burger and walked out didn’t even have a bite. I suggest you avoid this place unless you want to risk being poisoned. Alot of better places just around the corner. She even has chicken laying over a dirty handwashing sink god knows how long that’s been there ugh.

I LOVE this place. I use to eat here before going to the movie theater next door that use to show two flicks for $ 5. But I think it’s $ 7 now. The chicken fried rice could feed a small village. The place is literally a hole in the wall. But I have great memories of hungover meals there. It’s greasy, no doubt, but you appreciate its quickness and amount of food. When I lived in Hollywood, it is exactly what you think a cop on a tough beat would eat at.

If this is the same Sandy Burger I ate at while in Hollywood, then it’s a hole in the wall dumpy looking place thats practically right outside. The burger comes out sloppy if you take it to go and the meat patty is a little on the thin side. The beef lo mein has some taste but it would be best if stayed there and fixed it up with all the condiments(soy sauce, chilies, chili oil) yourself to better suit your taste. But the food is cheap, the fries were awesome, and the woman(Sandy?) is super nice. I had my dogs and she offered to grill up a meat patty for them even though I had to decline because if they stray from their usual dog food, they’ll be shitting weird for days.
