i would have never known that this little hole in the wall auto registrar was a ANIME BOOKSTORE as well if i hadnt parked right in front of the door.
its probable that they never get any business… so being located on a relatively busy section on York Blvd they decided to cater to people like me who just so happen to look in the window and get excited when they see mangas and toys.
they got me.
crisp new volumes of japanese comic books lined the walls. shirts and accessories, toys, costumes, were all there. i was more amazed that this little mexican lady sitting at the computer in the back would have an interest in selling these things… at an auto registrar for cryin out loud. typical prices; i got a $ 20 Naruto-​inspired cinch bag that didnt have NARUTO emblazoned all over it. sweet.
when i initially walked in, her and her 2 kids that were on a couch watching TV didnt even notice me. i could have grabbed the entire Bleach series, a few T shirts, and maybe a keychain before they noticed i had came and gone. i should have came back dressed as a ninja… done, son.
