Robert and his wife are professional, helpful, and make piano maintenance an enjoyable experience.
I work in recording studios playing on pianos all day long and having Robert to my home to tune up my little Baldwin was great. He explained everything thoroughly while working and in addition to tuning pointed out a couple items for a quick fix.
My highest recommendation.

Five hours into his work, I went to check on Bob and caught him totally in his element — playing some fantastic classical piece with his eyes closed, kind of coming to terms with the piano, like shaking its hand after a job well done.
Totally professional. Took his time and adjusted his process to help the longevity of my 1940 spinet (a piano tech’s nightmare). It’s in great shape now — he fixed a broken key, tuned it, cleaned it. I highly recommend you introduce this guy to your piano. Your ears will thank you!
PS: whoever left the bad «phone service» review is a dork. The lady I spoke with was so nice. (and it’s his wife)

I really appreciated the professionalism and the technical competency of Bob, the piano technician. Not only did he tune my piano so it sang sweetly, he looked up the serial number so I could find out what year it was made, and gave me his estimate on the value of the piano and how much restringing & getting new hammers would cost. He even helped me look up the missing key online, which I promptly ordered from eBay. Amazing!
Also, his lovely wife was very helpful and thorough when I was interacting with her on the telephone, as she answers the phone and does all the scheduling.

Bob was able to make our 100+ year old Steinway sound amazing. He removed the foot pedal assembly and took it to his office where he rebuilt it.
My pianists are all excited with the quality of music they are able to produce now.

I used Robert Price’s service about a year ago and am writing a review now. He’s a very capable tuner — my piano was a little damaged during the move (due to too much moist). The movement was a little clunky — but he fixed it with no problem. His tuning was excellent and I was very happy with his service. I plan to use him again in the future.

I just moved to LA and I’m renting a house with a tiny baby grand piano that hadn’t been tuned, or even played in 6 years. I found Bob Price online (actually through Unilocal) and the reviews were all excellent so I called him. He just left my house 10 minutes ago after spending nearly four hours bringing this beautiful little instrument back to life. He has worked a miracle. She sounds amazing. As others here have said, she SINGS! He fixed strings, altered actions even cleaned the thing! And I couldn’t believe the price when he told me. I felt bad writing a cheque that small for all the work he’d done. I would definitely recommend him. It’s great to meet a man so dedicated to his craft. He clearly loves what he does AND his wife, who runs his office, is really sweet on the phone! Customer service like it used to be. Good and human.
