R Factor

I got a really cool organic tee with the logos of GNR plastered all over this black, thin, see through top. I got it on sale for $ 16 and it was definite steal.
There were interesting items, some were worth it, but others were way too outrageous to sport. I noticed some of the shoes were worn down, so it suggested they sold second hand items too.
The sales rep was really pleasant and there were nice large fitting rooms for try ons.
The music is a notch lower than a club setting and a tad bit over the edge for a fashion store. It’s Melrose, what did I expect?
I gave it 4 stars because I scored a really cute tight tee and this store captured my attention.

I must say, I’m really excited about R Factor. I wandered in here the other day because I hadn’t ever seen it before and the large sign reading «We Buy Clothes» caught my attention. The man behind the counter said they had just opened a week before and they’re a combination of used clothes and new clothes, including local designers.
I love the vintage and used clothing stores around LA but I usually don’t find a whole lot and sifting through the junk to find the good items is often more than I can handle. I started combing through the racks and within 5 minutes I had an armful of clothing. I tried it all on and I liked a good 80% of my items and with super reasonable prices I couldn’t say no.
The customer service was also phenomenal. The two men, who I believe may be co-​owners or something, were very very friendly. It was approaching closing time when I arrived and they encouraged me to take my time making me feel very comfortable rather than shoving me out like a lot of places.
The daughter of one of the men was also helping out. I assumed her to be someone they hired in her late teens but turns out she’s 12 years old! I was definitely impressed.
R Factor is a great addition to the Melrose shopping experience and I guarantee I will be spending more time here. They said they are trying to fill up the store and now that they’re getting closer they are going to be more selective in the items they choose which just means the selection will be even better than it already is.
