Excellent! I love this place. It seems like the same person is there every time I go there, which is fine because he is very nice and helpful! I LOVE the pizza here — probably the best I’ve had in the area. Keep it up!

First off, before they shut down and remodeled they were great. After they have reopened it has been consistently disappointing. Their prices went up without changing it online so when you order you get charged way more than what is listed. The proportions shrunk and toppings are scant. Somehow I picked up a $ 22 pizza that is paper thin and hardly had any toppings or sauce on it. Probably won’t be going here anymore which is a pretty big bummer because this used to be my favorite place.

This place is so delicious, the best cheese pizza ever. It reminds me of the pizza they served in Home Alone, yes it’s that good. KEVIN!!! I hope you guys start delivering soon, unless I missed something. And easy on the oven time, pizza chefs! The last pizza I ordered was a prettty burnt on the bottom but I was too hungry to return it. Frequent this place, it’s delicious! Welcome to the neighborhood Purgatory!

I have never tried the breakfast, but the pizza by the slice is pretty tasty! I come here when I visit friends in Silverlake and I get a slice of the cheese tomato and bbq chicken pizza. The regular cheese pizza has a pretty robust and flavorful sauce, its a large slice and not too pricy. For some reason, this place reminds me a lot of San Francisco restaurants. Its on the corner of a building and really tiny, but they have some outdoor seating. The pizza has a tasty crust that is what thin crust should be: Its thin enough so you don’t feel too full but not overwhelming. Its not too chewy and its strong enough to hold up the toppings and the cheese. If you are in the area, its not a bad place to catch some cheap street pizza for a few bucks a slice!

I am very impressed with the zza we ordered from Purgatory. There IS delivery if you order through Unilocal/Eat24 so definitely hit that up. We got a simple mushroom and red onion pie and it HITTHESPOT. Not greasy soggy crust, fresh toppings and not a full heavy feeling afterwards. I have Hard Times and Two Boots within walking distance to my house but I would gladly drive to eat Purgatory over both.

One of the only«by the slice» places in the neighborhood. Good pizza, great topping combinations, and friendly people. Coming from the east coast it was nice to find an enjoyable piece of pizza.

This place is really great. I stop in weekly for a few slices and I am always pleasantly greeted with creative new flavor combinations. The breakfast was delicious. Eggs Benedict was spot on. Menus offers vegan and vegetarian dishes. Cheap, and convenient. Recommended

I’m not a pizza person but this is the one that made me change my mind… Tatiana welcomed us and the pizza kept us there. We were having guest and decided to have an informal meal so what else could we do but call Purgatory at the Junction, Devin answered the phone and took my order when I got there she had the smile I heard over the phone she even helped me to my car because I had two hands full. She took the time to invite us back which was a given. We will be back again and again …

Been here for dinner and brunch. For dinner, called in the pizza, picked it up(easy parking at 99 cent store) went home and it was good. No complaints. The brunch was excellent; one of the better egg Benedict dishes I’ve had in a long time. Solid all the way through. Service was good as well.

The people are nice but the portions are meager and overpriced. I got the sense they will have a lot to learn in the restaurant business still and I left feeling disappointed.

Came on a Saturday morning due to the line at Millie’s.. Uhhhh what did we get ourselves into at purgatory?! I JUSTWANTEDBLUEBERRYPANCAKES! I ordered the«blueberry lemon pancakes» and when it came out… There were no blueberries… It had 3 blackberries lol I asked the waiter what they were and he said«Uhhhh I don’t know, I’ll ask the cool. I always wonder why they’re called blueberry when we never have any» LOL GOODJOBPURGATORY, you’re drunk.

Food is ok but not worth it… Understaffed, poorly managed, and say they do delivery but it turns out that’s only when they feel like it. There are better options out there.

The cheese slice was good. Nice crust. The sausage and mushroom had olives and pepperoni on it too — just a terrible combination. The place is not very inviting though and the slices looked gross in that plexi display. I won’t be coming back.

Great food and good, nice people working here. It’s like Millie’s, but without a line and the occasional food poisoning!!!

I am so happy that Purgatory Pizza is in Silverlake!
I’ve been a purgatory supporter for a few years now! never have I been disappointed! When I lived in chinatown I would order pick up all the time. I’m bummed to see that people will write such terrible reviews on who even knows what! The pizza is Delicious! And as a vegetarian, the selection is Amazing! Friendly service always. My pizza was ready right on time and everyone was happy and ready to help me ! Thank you purgatory!

I’m a fan of the Purgatory location in Boyle Heights, so I’m pretty stoked there’s one in the neighborhood. I’m pretty surprised over the bad reviews. It’s a pizza joint, people! You can’t mess up pizza and they certainly don’t. I’ve been in the restaurant a few times and thought that everyone there was nice, and helpful. I can’t tell you how the other food on the menu is though, I stick with the pizza which I think is great. I would have given them 5 starts but they STOPPEDDOINGDELIVERY!!! Why did this happen?! You know how hard it is to find parking around there? Whoever made this decision, it was a bad one. Please bring it back! Anyway, it’s a damn good slice, and I will keep going. Even if i have to circle around for parking a few times.

Came here on a Saturday early afternoon around lunch and experienced really slow service. There weren’t that many people eating either so either they were understaffed or something was up… it even took us awhile to get our waters. Food was okay. Pretty small portions for the price that you pay. Was severely disappointed after being excited about their menu offering to find mediocre food. Oh, and they ran out of salmon when I was there too. Décor is pretty lackluster. Millie’s is next door and so if they’re busy don’t bother with Purgatory. Walk the extra block and hit up the other cafes.

Had high hopes. Awful slices. Bad subs. Consistently empty. Don’t see them staying around long unfortunately.

Not sure what’s with all the negative reviews. It’s just standard pizza. I ordered delivery and it was solid, actually tasted better cold the next day. Much cheaper than Garage so for that reason I’m giving it 4 stars.

Here’s an idea Answer your phone Called 5 times and no answer I’d love to give you more stars but you make it impossible to do so when u can’t be bothered to take my order. Also your website doesn’t seem to be mobile optimized. Couldn’t access that either
