Such a great little gem, and brunch prices sure beat the more popular spots around. We ordered a $ 12 bottle of champagne(brunch special) which was quite good, and were brought out some pretty fresh OJ to accompany it. The patio was great — perfectly shaded, quiet, and they brought water for our pup. Service was awesome, our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. Food came quickly, and my bf’s organic kale omelette was on point. I got the Greek salad, which was fresh and delicious. Above all, we’re glad we avoided the huge Los Feliz Saturday brunch lines to enjoy a leisurely meal here. We’ll definitely be back!

Love Puran’s. Fresh, organic, healthy food from a proprietor and staff that care… I eat here often and am never disappointed… Great space too. The trendy folks in the hood are running to Little Dom’s — which is fun too but noisy over-crowded and not organic. Puran’s is good breakfast, lunch and dinner… So when you need organic food that is well prepared, this is your spot.

Purans is an unsung delight! We’ve been coming here for a decade for quality and delicious Mediterranean food in a easy setting. The staff is responsive, attentive and pleasant. I’m surprised this isn’t higher rating.

Super delicious from start to finish. Consistent and reliable. Theres never a big crowd despite the quality food, so I feel like I’m in on a scandalous secret. Like that tv show about all the scandals. I think it might actually be called Scandals. This girl I used to date watched it, but I never got into it. We’re not together any more, it’s kind of a long story but definitely for the best. I like that show House of Cards tho. Kevin Spacey gives a riveting and provocative performance, very consistent and reliable. The third season got a little weird. Good Caesar salad. A local gem!

I am simply amazed how Puran’s isn’t rated 5 stars. We have been coming here for about 20 years. We are foodies and will drive anywhere for delicious food, so, anytime we are in the mood for good food and don’t want to take a chance on somewhere new– we choose Puran’s. The food has been consistently amazing. They take pride in choosing fresh and organic food instead of smothering food in sauces and too much salt. You basically can’t go wrong with whatever you choose, but here are some must trys: Seafood tacos Pesto chicken pasta Lamb specials — oh my! Mexican burger Salads– yum!!! They also have gluten free bread for those of you with restrictions.

Waited about 40 mins for a couple of sandwiches, which we ordered only because we thought it would take short. A waiter who was serving us just told us that kitchen messed up our order, so it’s taking long and never even said sorry, which I didn’t expect him to do, but it would have been really nice if he did. And on top of that, we ordered salads for side, but got french fries instead. They got us salads eventually, but… well…so, my experience was not good at all.

Monday and Tuesday night folks! $ 15– 3 course and a $ 12 bottle of wine… Puran has the secret to the best VALUE and QUALITY of a dining experience. Even if you miss Monday and Tuesday night, 7 days a week, you can find about anything you are craving, from egg-breakfast type food to clams, mussels and oysters… pizzas, pastas and everything tastes fresh! You can also view silent movies playing up high and not in your face oryou can view the Griffith Observatory lit up while dining on the patio. The special secret dipping sauce and toasted bread is the best tasting and best mood setting start… then ask about any of the homemade soups… A salad, hands down(yes, if you like beets) beet salad that can be a meal for two. Try the freshly made to order cucumber salad… A glass of wine? Fresh Fish? Tuna tartar? Stuffed Salmon? Braised lamb shank? And wait, dessert! Just go ahead and try sharing her special«Pear Tart»…guarantee you will eat it all yourself… along with a perfectly brewed espresso or latte… Puran is a natural and she ensures that you leave full and happy… and yes, maybe a little bit plumper… Every time we go, we are greeted and seated and treated like a special customer. Favorite restaurant in LA. Period. I came here because of a ridiculously long wait for Little Dom’s and never went back. You can spend all your money at trendier places and get food that’s not as good while sitting on top of your neighbors, or you can go here. The food is amazing, the service is impeccable, the prices are reasonable, and there’s a free parking lot in the back. Let me say that last part again: FREEPARKINGLOTINTHEBACK. That’s right, in the most crowded part of Los Feliz, this restaurant has a free, never full, parking lot in the back. No valet wait, nada. And now, allow me to drop the gauntlet: This place. Has. The. Best. Caesar. Salad. I’ve. Ever. Had. BESTCAESARSALAD, MOTHAFUCKAAAAAAS. I mean it. All the other food is amazing. Also addicted to their filet mignon. And finally: BRUNCH. You can stand in line for an hour and let the sun bake your hangover into your skin on a Sunday morning OR you can walk your ass up the street to Puran’s and get better brunch food for cheaper with no wait. We stopped in for dinner after presenting our power point presentation on «Silver Lake Chronicles: Exploring an Urban Oasis in Los Angeles» at Skylight Books. Most of the restaurants on Vermont were jam-packed, so one of the members of our party suggested Puran’s on Hillhurst where we found parking to be a lot easier and the restaurant very charming, the service impeccable and the food delicious.

This is a lovely romantic spot with great food! I took my wife here for a night before Valentine’s Day dinner. Adrian our waiter was terrific. Great service and I very much enjoyed the chicken parmigiana. My wife had the beef shish kabob and it was magnificent. Highly recommended! :-)

Puran’s was all ours on New Year’s Day. We got seated at a nice booth and were served very well. Their menu has a great selection of everything you’re in the mood for. I had the Chicken Pesto Penne with Goat Cheese and it was DIVINE! So flavorful and such a huge portion! I was happy to take the rest home. They have a great wine selection too because we were able to order a couple bottle of an excellent Pinot Noir. Definitely a great Los Feliz Spot for a nice night out, a romantic dinner, a group gathering, etc!

I came to purans tonight because I live very close and they have $ 12 bottles of wine Mondays and Tuesdays. The brand was canyon road and you can choose between Cabernet and Chardonnay. We chose cab and it was just wonderful! The ambiance of the place was perfect. Once the sun went down the whole restaurant seemed to be lit with candlelight. I went with my sister but I bet it would be a wonderful date place. We decided to share an appetizer and then one entrée. We ordered the cheese plate to start and we were not sorry. Bleu cheese, Brie, feta, fig jam, roasted walnuts… It was all amazing and went perfectly with our wine. We then had paella for our entrée. There was such wonderful flavor with so much protein in it!!! Chorizo, Italian sausage, shrimp, mussels, clams, calamari rings… Soooooo good! We were pretty conservative on ordering because there was only two of us and hate to waste food but those two dishes were wonderful. Loved this place and experience. Our server was exceptional as well. She answered every question we had perfectly and was very attentive without being overbearing. Try it, you won’t be sorry!!!

After deciding that the Monday night 3 course meal at Little Dom’s didn’t sound too great, we stopped by on a Monday night for the $ 15 three course dinner and it was delicious and an amazing deal. As well as the three course dinner we ordered the goat cheese pesto pizza which honestly seemed like it was kinda lacking something. We also ordered a TWELVEDOLLAR bottle of wine which was surprisingly good and of course a stupidly great deal as well. The service was fantastic and honestly I don’t understand why this place isn’t busier! I feel like people forget about Purans. The food is just as good as Little Dom’s and *HINT* *HINT* there is never a wait to get a table!!!

The service, atmosphere, menu, and food are all phenonominal phenominnal phenomimal… they’re ok. You’ll especially LOAF the fresh, toasted bread: you get some as a free starter(with some yummy tomato sauce) and along with the thin, crispy, evenly(if not magically) distributed bacon, that fresh toasted bread made the club sandwich the best I’ve ever had. Returned 10⁄15. Loved the lemon marinated chicken, perfectly cooked(well-done but juicy) with very herbal rice and well-seasoned grilled sweet onion, and iced tea w/mint. A perfect dish. Also loved the silent mobies projected on the wall, I’m not keaton you, it’s true.

Ok food, ok service, ok experience. I don’t think I would come back unless someone else wanted to go. The only thing I enjoyed was the complimentary bread and dipping sauce. It reminded me of pizza. Actually the fries were not bad either, thin and crispy. I was able to order breakfast food for lunch, and had french fries instead of the roasted potatoes. I ordered a smoked salmon scramble. I guess I should have thought more about my selection. The word«scramble» is key here! I love eggs with salmon, but I like smoked salmon when it’s still cold and has a buttery texture. The smoked salmon in this scramble was obviously mixed in with the eggs as it cooked, so it was warm and had become flaky. The eggs were overcooked and overall too salty :(Also on the plate was some pico de gallo, which I enjoyed because it was fresh and made the eggs less salty. The service was ok. We were seated outside and the server was inside most of the time. They messed up my coworker’s order who wanted french fries instead of salad, so the server just gave her an extra order of french fries. They also messed up her order by giving her scrambled egg whites instead of regular scrambled eggs. I found it amusing that the server said«I won’t charge you extra for the egg whites». The yolks(best part in my opinion) are gone, why would you charge more? One more thing… I chose this place because my coworker can’t eat gluten and I saw that it had gluten free options… but she found it expensive that they would charge $ 5 extra for gluten free pasta. Oh and I parked in the residential streets.
