This is definitely one of the best restaurants which I have been to in Los Angeles. The interior is beautiful, classy and very cosy. They have a great bar, and all of the food is delicious. The highlight is of course the Poutine, and they have so many different versions! We had the duck poutine, and the filet mignon poutine, and both were to die for. All of the food there is great, beautiful meats(steak and lamb chops), soups, salads, stews etc. Very nice french Canadian food, tasty, well cooked with delicious sauces. Very unique place. Great drinks too. All the staff are super nice, and the owner is lovely! I will definitely become a regular here.

Loved this place! We split the Poutine Marat, the salad with apples, and the lamb chops, and everything was amazing. Service is friendly and the place is cozy and intimate. Nice well-priced wine list – I had the Bordeaux Blanc and my friend tried the Pinot Grigio, and both were great. If the Poutine wasn’t such a hit to my cardiovascular system, I’d want to come here all the time. Instead, it’ll just be reserved for special occasions.

Delicious and delightful! My pookie and I are frites lovers and this is our haven. There are not too many places that specialize in poutine and this place serves it perfectly. We ordered the trio with Poutine Christine, Daniel, and Marat. We could not decide which one we enjoyed more and must go back. The cocktails are great and ambiance was chill. We went on a slow night and it was only us in the place for most of the night. Can’t wait to come back.

I’ve been here twice in the last week and both times was super pleased with every aspect of dining here. The servers were very pleasant and sweet, and I felt that our meal was never rushed which for me is a big deal. Very relaxed experience with delicious refined food and not an ounce pretentiousness. Happy hour for the bar goes until 8PM and there is very nice Canadian beer on tap. I had the fin du monde, and it tasted like hoegaarden which is one of my favorites. Now, for the food itself I can only attest to the Poutines. The Malik(merguez sausage with spicy creamy Harissa sauce) perfectly satisfied my craving for something spicy and flavorful. The foie gras Poutine(a special) was very decadent and everything that it should have been. The filet mignon mushroom Poutine was also delicious as the meat was perfectly tender. The amount of sauce on the Poutine is always perfectly on-point. Looking forward to returning to p’tit soleil with my friends and family to show them this very special dining experience.

Great spot! Only missing one thing… I like this place for(bottomless) champagne brunch and, of course, poutine! Last time we had their poutine special – shrimp poutine?! – it was amazing. My only complaint is that you’re not allowed to «upgrade» a side of fries to a poutine. This seems like it should be obvious, since most entrees come with a salad and fries. I asked and pleaded with the staff, but they indicated that the management won’t have it. This is why they only get 4 stars. No side of poutine? Bummer. Get it together, P’tit Soleil Management!

my school was right by here, so me and my coworkers would come here after work. OMGTHEIRPOUTINEISAMAZINGAND A GREATPRICEFORWHATYOUGET. I’ve never dined in their restaurant side I always go to the bar. I love the bartender there, he actually speaks French and is from Canada I believe but is Swiss? Oh I’ve not sure, but anyways the service here is amazing and I just love the ambiance especially at night time. Parking is kind of a pain, because you have to park on the street. I usually go about a block or two down because those are where the meters are. But I highly recommend!

we called ahead to see if we needed a reservation on a friday night at 7 and they told us no worries, to just come on in. the place was pretty empty which really surprised me but then again, it’s a bit hidden too. i will say, we were all a bit overwhelmed at the menu choices. one drink menu, one poutine menu, one tapas menu, and one regular menu(which includes brunch, lunch, and dinner) per person. but our server was patient and helpful. two of us got beer and the other wine, all on happy hour special. we split the poutine trio and all three were delicious. we also split a cheese board but i wasn’t a big fan of that. i got a salad for my entrée but i was so full from the poutine already, i couldn’t finish.

Getting out to Westwood is a hike, but the neighborhood does have its share of lovely eateries, including P’tit Soleil. In a somewhat central location, street parking may not be the easiest unless you venture off a couple of blocks, but that minor hassle is worth the visit to this place. P’tit Soleil is the bar area on the lefthand side of Soleil Westwood, and the side which may be important to some: the Poutine side. That’s right, Poutine. In all its French Canadian, cheese curds and gravy glory. Simply put: they make the best poutine I’ve ever tried outside of Canada(and I’ve only ever tried it once in our neighbor’s hood). I was on the fence between the Poutine Marat(filet mignon) and Poutine Daniel(duck), which the bartender informed me were the two most popular. I was leaning more towards the duck, so I ordered a Petite portion of the shoestring fries, cheese curds, shredded duck, and Cognac peppercorn sauce. It was excellently savory and delectable. The crisp of the fries, the tenderness of the duck, the size of the curds, the spice of the gravy, all wonderful. I also ordered a cocktail to pair featuring Crown Royal, and while it didn’t seem to have the right proportion of ingredients, I was able to overlook that based on the poutine and service. I thought I’d only had an appetite for a small plate, but next time, I may order a Grosse, or maybe even a Poutine Flight! How’s that for foodie wonders?

Best place of all time!!! I will be here everyday! I’m a quebec girl in an LA world and I just found a little piece of home! They have fois gras poutine and Bloody Caesars!!! Drool! They also have about 5 popular quebec Beers on the menu, all from Unibroue, I wish they had a wider variety of quebec beer from different breweries, but this is still the best I have seen since I’ve moved to the U.S. Would love to met the owner one of these days. Our bartender Cameron is also super cool! Great place for dates and to bring your girls, as long as they’re not on a diet

What a spectacular treat to have found this restaurant. From the starry ceiling to the charm of Luke, the owner, the hospitality was crème de la crème. It was the most complete meal I have ever eaten. For appetizers we had the escargot that were so flavorful and buttery that they would convert anyone to be a fan of the dish. We also had the eggplant special with goat cheese which had so many unique flavors that blended perfectly. The main course of a seafood crêpe, suffer with shrimp, salmon and muscles was incredibly savory. I ordered the filet mignon topped with peppercorn, which reminded you with every bite of its juicy and flavorful splendor. For dessert we had the cream puffs stuffed with vanilla ice cream which is highly recommend, as well. The one complaint is have about this jewel is that I wasn’t aware of it before last night. I’d offer it more stars if possible. Perfect ambiance for a romantic date night for a truly gourmet meal that surpassed all expectations of a gourmet restaurant. It was magnifique!

Went with my wife and two kids… The poutine was amazing. The fires are thin and crispy and the toppings were great. Will defiantly go back whenever we are in Westwood. Great service; friendly staff. Just great.

Good food, great service, cute décor! I had never tried poutine before, so my boyfriend and I split the ‘flight,’ which was an awesome deal at $ 20(3 small-ish poutines to share). We got the filet mignon, duck, and mussels. Both of us loved the duck one the best because it was extra saucy and had a little peppery kick to it. The mussels one was a bit of a letdown, as the lack of a creamy sauce made it seem a bit dry compared to the others. Our server, Jason, was great. He knew the menu well and helped us decide what to get. Also, I LOVE the $ 2 dessert minis they have. If you just want a little taste of dessert, and no one wants to share with you, these work great. I had a mini raspberry crème brûlée and it was delicious.

I was born and raised in Canada, so I was so happy to hear that there was a Québécois restaurant in LA that served poutine and meat pies. As unhealthy as it sounds, I ate poutine for lunch pretty much every day in Ottawa when I was in grade 11 and 12, so I feel like I know something about poutine. I’m also French Canadian, and had a grand mother who made the most delicious meat pies. Anyhoo, I drove all the way from South Orange County to eat here. It took me an 1.5 hours, and I was expecting the best. Sadly, I did not get the best. The poutine was prepared with shoestring fries. I’ve never had poutine this way, and I also checked with my friends in Montréal and Quebec City and they also have never had poutine with shoestring fries. The gravy was light and salty. Nothing at all like what I ate while I lived in Canada. On a good note, the cheese curds were authentic and imported from Wisconsin. They were really good but much larger than what I expected. The meat pie was decent, but nothing worth writing home about. My French Canadian grandmother made THEBOMB meat pies(tortiere). My sister also makes a delicious tortiere. The nanaimo bar was yummy. My American boyfriend thought it was really good. My son really liked the caramel cake too. I think the restaurant also serves Jos Louis cakes, and that is so fun!!! Now the bartender/waiter, Jeff, is another story. He was awesome! So fun. He’s not French Canadian, but he provided great service and deserves a shout out. If you’re American and you’ve never been to Ontario or Quebec, enjoy the Québécois atmosphere, but if you get poutine with shoestring fries and that gravy, know that it’s tasty but not authentic. I might go back for Jeff. He was great. ;-)

I have been here a few times now and this place never lets me down. I’ve been a couple times for brunch where I usually order Eggs Benedict. It’s good and so is the coffee. The other day I went for their Happy Hour which reduces your bill by 15%. My boyfriend and I split the Mexican Poutine they had and it was delicious. All their poutines are served with shoestring french fries. The Mexican one had a chorizo sauce that was spot on. And the texture and flavor of the cheese curds is NOMalicious. I will definitely be back to try more of their poutine dishes!

Great service, good options for beer, amazing poutine. This was our first time having it and, boy, were we missing out all of these years. We both got the original for our first time and we weren’t disappointed after hearing about how awesome this dish was. It’s served with crispy shoestring fries, cheese curd and delicious gravy. Everything was well balanced. Not to much gravy or too little… there was enough to spread onto the fries at the edge that didn’t get any, but at the end of eating it, there was hardly any left on the plate. The gravy was a good consistency and had a wonderful flavour. The cheese was good and fresh. The fries were also very nice. I paired mine with a La Fin du Monde, which was a very good pairing, but also tasted my partners beer, which was a boch(some German named beer starting with an s) and it was tasty too. All in all, great first experience and we will be coming back again.

Best French Canadian food. Brings me back to the good old days up in northern Ontario. Meet pies, poutine and gâteau Vachon.(Homemade here) It’s a once a week treat to come eat here when time allows. Definitely would recommend it to people who love comfort food.

On a Friday night a smidge before 9PM, it wasn’t as crowded as I anticipated. There’s only a handful of tables in the poutine bar and two were free; what sorcery?! Do the Angelinos not now the wonder and majesty that is poutine?! Like I said, the place is tiny and mostly occupied by the bar. It’s pretty dim, so it’s ideal for a casual date night too. The prices are also pretty reasonable considering the pomp and circumstance French cuisine usually entails, but I suppose it’s a Canadian restaurant. We got the fondu of parmesan cheese, which isn’t the ooey, gooey, cheese sauce you get at the Melting Pot. This is a block of parmesan cheese that is breaded and fried, served atop greens with some tomato. Essentially it’s a block of fried cheese($ 7), what more do you want? We also got the calamari rings($ 7) which were good– nothing to write home about. But of course, it’s a poutine bar. Anyone who doesn’t like poutine is no friend of mine. There was three of us, so we got the poutine trio. After much debate we settled on the poutine Daniel, poutine Malik, and poutine Marat. They were all SYMG(slap your mama good, a taste that is so delicious it would prompt you to slap your own mother). The Malik was unique and something I wouldn’t expect of poutine, with a spicy harissa cream sauce. The cognac cream sauce of the other two were phenomenalllllll. Needless to say, I cannot wait to be back so I can have another poutine trio… to myself this time.
