Bouncers are money hungry. My group got in line at 10 and we were about 3 groups away from getting in and it took 2 hours to move to the front. Why? Because the bouncers were taking money from the people in the back of the line to cut us. I had plenty of money to blow that night and im glsd i didnt use it on thise club. Managers need to know how much money they are losing because of the greedy bouncers. My group and two other groups behind me ended up leaving. Terrible experience and would not recommend spending your money here. I imagine the staff is alot more shady inside, but ill never know. (date visited: 1÷30÷16) also ive had a Unilocal account for a year and this is my first review. Thats how pissed i am.

Now I know to use Unilocal more often because the reviews speak volumes! THIS CLUB IS ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS! The staff treated the females outside like low rate citizens while standing outside… the club was packed for no reason, tables were being moved all around, and it was absolute chaos. I won’t be returning here unless they step their game up, then I might reconsider my review. Other than that, 1 star!

Mediocre at best! Place is well known from the hype of last year ((2015)) celebrity sightings at the club. However, the place is tight and not much dancing room, your either in the way of the bar or the walkway.
They do have a nice upstairs, which they rarely just open but its a great addition to club setting. Unless I’m in VIP or I don’t go.

Can I please give this place negative stars!!! Long lines, expensive drinks, rude staff, bad crowd, and my friend’s cell phone was stolen when it was in her bag the whole time and she never took it out. We were over charged for drinks and had weird charges on our credit cards the next day that needed to be disputed. Avoid this place at all costs!

Don’t go here. Just because the location is in hollywood doesn’t make it a good club. My girlfriend got her wallet stolen here and she knew who did it and I told security they said they couldn’t do anything. I ended up calling the police but the person ending up getting away. Thanks to the help of the useless staff. I wouldn’t consider this a club more of a joke. Music is wack and service is terrible consider another club before going to this one.

Too long of a wait line. Security is trying to do there job, but there’s a point between doing your job and being just plain rude. It’s a pretty big club space and crowded with people in their mid twenties. Hip hop music.

I will never be going back to this place ever again. The staff is rude and the prices are ridiculous. My group of friends and I ALL were charged more than what we signed for on the tab. Ridiculous!

If you’re looking for something g super ghetto and thuggish then this is the place to go. I personally saw two fights in a matter of one hour. Ultimate ghetto club in la. If that’s what you are looking for than this is the place for you 100 percent.

Worst club I’ve ever been to! The music sucks big time it’s like they play a cool song that gets you in the mood and then after 10 seconds they change completely. DJ sucked!
It got crazy, some guy tried punching my friend. Later on some other guy three beer at some chick who was dancing with her man and refused to dance with this crazy random guy. I don’t know it was just bad!

Went to this club the past weekend to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The 3 of us drove 6 hours to LA to celebrate & a couple hours before 10pm our original night club plan failed so I had to network & scramble to find options last minute since we didn’t know the places to go. Things got set up through a friend of a friend of a friend (yes I know lol) we were told we would be taken care when we got to this club & make sure to arrive by 11pm.
We get there about 1015 && were informed the person I was told to ask for was not there & the place doesn’t open yet. No problem we walked up & down the street waiting. When we came back at 11 it took about 15 – 20 mins to get the guy’s attention && even then he was standoffish. I just brushed it off since I thought he was helping us out & appreciated it so last minute. Come to find out we have to pay, ok fine again I appreciate the help last minute but $ 25 a person on the guestlist?! How ridiculous is that?! We get inside & I go to buy my girl a drink && not only does the bartender say 2 drink min. paying with card BUT it’s $ 30 for 2 drinks!!? WOW! This place had some rude staff, charge a ridiculous amount to get in && for drinks but the icing on the cake … THEY CHANGED MY TOTAL ON MY TAB! Very, VERY TACKY! WHO DOES THAT! && to be honest I didn’t even notice until my friend checked her account the next day for some random reason & started saying the bar changed her total and charged her card more than she signed for. I looked at mine immediately & noticed the same!
The music was good, crowd was ok which is why I give it 1 star. They did have people smoking inside & I don’t smoke, but it wasn’t bothersome to me.
All I would say about this place is make sure to have enough cash on hand when you go. You don’t want to have to worry about getting ripped off not just by being forced with their 2 drink expensive min, but so you don’t have to worry about them altering your tab after you’ve signed it!

We got there at 10:30 but the super cool bouncer told us it doesn’t open until 11. So… waiting around… they started letting ppl in but then this bouncer thought he was god because he was only letting a few ppl in. This is general admission and guest list. There was only five of us there. This is not Vegas so let’s get it together ppl! We were on guest list and get this, if you don’t have a text confirmation to show, they can’t find you and won’t let you in. Wtf?! They just let us in because I was making a scene lol not really. I just didn’t have my phone. Soooo… the club is nice but small. Apparently no one gets patted down and you can smoke inside. Can you say ghetto? The drinks are $ 28+ for two drinks. The f&*k?! Ok so again this is not vegas! Needless to say, we did not stay long.

Security direspectful for no reason, standing in an area that was «VIP». He could have been polite but instead walked over yelling at everyone standing there mind you if you don’t have bottle service, no where to stand or walk. He was cursing for what, your a security guard taking this job of guarding VIP way to serious. No one in my world has ever talked to me the way this «MAN» talked to myself and friends. Don’t come here, there are much better clubs in other areas.

Crooks!!! Theives, punks in suits who will use any opportunity to shake you down for extra money. We saw others in the club smoking so as we began to smoke the bouncer grabs us and said «clear your pockets, and break me off»
The bar is scandalous also. My drinks came to 20 bucks on my recipe and when I checked my account it came to 24 $. Fuck this small ass, weak excuse for a club. This place is a pathetic. NEVER COMING BACK EVER! HOPE THIS PLACE CLOSES ASAP.

The Playhouse is a nice club to party with beautiful people. I came here a few weeks ago with some friends, and the line was pretty long. Granted, we got there at 11:30pm. My buddy knew the security, so we cut the line and were in. The cover was $ 20, and the drinks ran about the same rate. I’ve gotten bottle service before, and rates are comparable to any other club in the area. I like the crowd, as you get many cool people including many beautiful women.
This place gets very crowded, so it’s a better idea to get bottle service. Otherwise, you’ll be standing for quite a bit, and it gets hard to walk around. This is especially true toward the stage area. Great go gos and great music. This place is worth a visit, even if you’re not a clubbing person like me.

Too packed to even breathe. Mixed crowd which is good. Decent music, but it’s packed like sardines.
Then you have the bouncers shouting the entire time telling you to move. I’m like «mutha f@ck$r move where?»
So you have the dance floor tight as h*ll and bar area with people walking in circles because you have to keep moving. Smh. And people actually pay to get in spots like this. I don’t get it.

Got to enjoy the Party like a Unilocal Elite event this past Friday.
Sure, it helped that it was an open bar and had tacos, but the venue itself was awesome. Actually enjoyed the music the DJ was spinning, something rare now a days because I’m 30 as fuck now.
The overall atmosphere was something you’d expect in a Hollywood bar.
Would definitely return if I felt the need to fist pump. Although the lack of open bar and tacos might make me hesitate: O

This place used to be awesome a few years back, they used to book top notch talent like Thomas Gold, Funkagenda and so on.
Monday Social are now running shows at Sound Nightclub in Hollywood instead of this place for some reason, and I haven’t seen any good well-​known DJ get booked here in a long long time… maybe they couldn’t compete with the megaclubs Avalon, Exchange and Create.
Anyways for the time I used to come here it is a small little venue with a decent sound system and pricey drinks (it is Hollywood after all).
