As a former athlete, I have always found cardio to be my ultimate work out style however as I began to develop knee injuries I had to explore my options. I was also diagnosed with scoliosis in my early teens and with time I knew I would have to work on strengthening lower back muscles with low impact workouts. I had heard about the recent Pilates craze at the time and began doing my research. It was through the grapevine I discovered that an old high school friend of mine was a certified pilates instructor. I reached out to Andrea Sobke and communicated my concerns, as well as what I wanted to obtain for my body. I knew that I wanted to transform my body to be leaner, longer, and stronger and she got me there. Andrea’s teaching techniques and skills are amazing. She is an excellent example of what«becoming fit» means. My sessions with Andrea were definitely challenging, but in the most rewarding way. The way she breaks down and explains each movement to such detail is her best quality. She brings a lot of awareness to every part of your body as you are going through the movements. Pilates is all about awareness and attention to your body and Andrea makes sure you have both at ALL times.
