Pieter Performance Art Space Dance

This place is great!

I’ve been going to Pieter almost since it first opened in late 2009. It’s run by a creative soul named Jmy who has a generous spirit and a big heart for art. It’s a great space for musicians, actors, performance artists and dancers and hundreds of amazing artists have used it for rehearsals, showings, workshops and performances. The rental rates are low. The space has bathroom and kitchen, dressing rooms and mirrors, amps for your iPod and WiFi for your computer. Coffee and tea are gratis. The natural light makes it a fantastic site for photo shoots and t’s big enough to shoot video or stage an event. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a great place to create your new masterpiece. Located in an intimate but convenient corner of Lincoln Heights, it’s walking distance from freeways, Metro Gold Line and bus lines. Street parking is plentiful and Mexican food is nearby.

This Studio is great.
My nephew was looking for a place to shoot a short video for a Sweepstakes Video Entry I was stuck with finding a location for the shot. We initially planned for my home, but my living room is waaay too small, and the lack of space would mean i’d have to move my furniture outside temporarily. I’d rather NOT!!! LOL
So i went online, looking for photo and dance studios. I visioned a place that was long, with wood flooring and white walls. A place that was well lit, but not incredibly Artsy. I mean, the premise of the story ad to do with a Yakuza meeting place, so it had to have an Urban look to it.
I searched all over the web, and asked all of my buddies, but we couldnt find anything like that. Till i found Pieter in an ad that read.
«Performing Dance Space for rent’» and they posted pics.
When i saw them i thought, «Holy SH*T, thats exactly what I want!!!»
So i emailed Jmy and got back to me FAST.
We scheduled a day where we could check the place out, and my oh my. It was beautiful!!! The floor was wood and looked aged, but smooth as hell. The walls were white and had giant windows that had great natural lighting. They also had a couple changing areas, a large restroom, and a small cooking/​serving area.
The rental price was cheap…
The place was awesome…
The shots came out great…
and the Staff is Cool, enjoyable to work with, comfortable to talk to, we couldn’t find better people to do business with.
PIETER Performance Art Space Dance is a Great Venue and Experience.
p. s. did i mention they have dance classes there? whaaaaaaaat?
