Phillys Moving Labor

Called them 2 days before my other mover cancelled on my job — not only were they able to accommodate the date, but also the time. They were very careful in handling the fragile items and were skilled at breaking down furniture to fit into our storage pod. My only negative is that they showed up 45 min late but did call to notify us. Will definitely use them again in the future! BTW — even though their Unilocal ad says they accept credit cards, on the day of the move they told us they only took cash — had to have them wait while we went to the bank to get some cash… just an FYI.

***ONE thing I should warn y’all is that PML does not have a moving truck, requiring me to rent one through UHaul; however the two men did such a great job, I did not reduce their # of stars.*** After calling countless booked movers– found through Unilocal last Thursday for a move on Saturday (yes, two days later) — I FINALLY found and called Phillys. Lone behold, they were available! I was anxious, having read nightmare reviews about movers who claim to be fast and efficient and expressed my worries to Iris, PML’s appointment booker/​liaison (unsure of her title). She calmed my concerns and assured me that the men were strong, fast, and smart at loading the moving truck. She did not lie– the two men (Ismael and a name I cannot remember) worked incredibly fast, and, including travel time between locations, got my 1 bedroom apartment done in under 2 hours. They also AMAZINGLY moved my piano by PICKING IT UP, which thoroughly impressed me. I have moved this piano 3 times with myself (female) and 3 male helpers and did not think it’d be possible for just 2 males to do the work of 4! In addition, they hussled to get the job done by a certain time by which I had to return my UHaul in order to avoid huge inconvenience– I didn’t notify them of this until we arrived at the unload site. Anyhow, can’t say enough good things. Give them a try– you won’t be disappointed!

Wow! These guys were amazing! After a year of going through horrendous living situation… think slumlord, 8 month gas leak, 8 months of painful migraines… I was able to leave my apt.
The last couple days of my stay there I ordered a POD for moving/​storage, got parking permits, had the permits approved and had to find someone to help lift furniture. I called Phillys Moving around 9:30p.m. in a panic… in hopes they would be available the next morning, I know, I’m a last minute idiot, but this was a last minute situation.
Anyway upon my call… the lady on the phone was extremely nice, chill, personable and very understanding of my situation. To my surprise they were available the same night at a steal of the price! Two very respectful guys came to my house around 10:30p.m. helped me pack the POD unit in a couple hours, secure everything perfectly, and wrap some of my future I had left to break down. Again they were super nice, chill, down to earth and had great conversations with them. They were gentle with moving my furniture, very respectful and treating it as if it was their own.
They also have me great tips for future moving & packing… which hopefully I won’t need but I appreciate the advice! I wish I would have found them earlier on in the week but I will be using them in the future for moving/​storing, packing, unpacking!

These guys are GREAT!!! We had a 17′ truck that we needed loaded. Our very large 1 bedroom, 1 bath apt — they moved the whole thing into the truck in under 3 hours. 2 and ½ to be more accurate! I am a bit of a micro-​manager, but these guys were very patient with me and able to tell me why they were packing things where and how they were protecting each item. I cannot speak highly enough of them. I waited to write this review til after we unpacked everything to make sure nothing broke. NOT ONE THING! And they have one of the most competitive rates in town. Check them out!!!

Just used their service last night. The two men that showed up were very responsible with our belongings and they were friendly and courteous. I was super pleased with how efficient the men were an we were done faster than I had anticipated. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family.
