The place is awful. The sushi place next to it opens almost in afternoon on Saturdays so I kinda had no choice but to try this place. From the moment I got in I’ve encountered an enormously repellent attitude. The lady was rude and mean. Pizza was okay though, if you compare it to the 7-Eleven pizzas. Philly steak sandwich was neither good nor bad. I wouldn’t come back again. Better order online

This place is horrible. I’m just going to explain one of many incidents I’ve had at this place. The few times I’ve came here the lady had a bad attitude but i give the lady the benefit of the doubt and take in consideration that she might be having a bad day. But the lady that runs the place has lost her mind. I ordered 4 slices of cheese to go and I asked her for a small packet of Parmesan and she told me just use the one on the table. And as I’m using it she starts telling me not to use too much and giving me a attitude… Mind blowing. I don’t really no how to explain it but you would have to be there to experience it. I’m a paying customer and she is being a cheap prick. I would never recommend this place to anyone. STAYAWAY.

For its genre, the food is pretty decent. Pizza is good, fries are good and Philly steaks are good. So are the Greek salads. I’ve been coming here a longtime and enjoy that’s it’s never too crowded. I like the people running it. The main woman there all the time can be nice if someone is nice to her and can be rude if someone is rude to her. It’s up to the customer and the golden rule. My only complaint is sometimes the staff can talk a little loud while speaking another language. They somehow thing you can’t hear them because they are not speaking English.

Great hole in the wall joint. The philly cheesesteak isn’t bad though the bread could use an upgrade. Isabel isn’t that rude, she’s just busy. I’d like to see the 1-star ninnys manage a busy take out restaurant on their own AND have patience of a saint. Yeah she can be a bitch sometimes, but to me that screams authentic philly. Try going to Philly and hemming and hawing over chicken or steak. LA people are spoiled!

stingy on the steak, and just about everything else as on it as well. More bread, than anything. This place is horribly stingy. They even wanted to charge me for a small marinara side. Thankfully, they finally gave in. Won’t be coming back here and experienced better philly steak in just about any other venue.

Being from Philly… The Cheesesteak is mediocre. It’s not bad… but they’re stingy on the steak… If you want waaay better Philly cheesesteaks… Go to Boo’s on Wilshire… Just across the street from the Ambassador Hotel.

The food is not cheap but the quality is! Frozen crinkle cut fries and a bad attitude! I would give them 2 stars if they were open to 11 or midnight, but they close PROMPTLY at 10pm and the lady lets you know, she wants to go home, they dont care about the money they are missing, Oh well, Drive through is better quality, cheaper and open 24/7, so there!!!

Wow, talk about bad customer service. I agree with some of the other reviewers here. Rude lady answering the phone probably the owner… Messed up my order and refused to send the driver back to fix it… Never in my life experienced a business that doesn’t want to make it right because there are ‘no orders in my direction’… According to her it’s going to be at least 3 hours and only if there is an order in my direction, she will call me. I don’t know who taught this lady how to run a business, but this is very poor. I guess she doesn’t care about public opinion or her customers. No worries it’s just a sandwich, but I feel compelled to report this atrocious behavior. Maybe I will get ‘lucky’ and she will call me back but I doubt it.

Sometimes you just want something cheap and fast. Originally wanted sushi, but decided to opt for something cheaper– pizza. Luckily they have pizza by the slice, which I like about places because it allows you to have pizza without having to eat an entire pie(which is usually what happens to me. I eat the entire pie. Myself.). Pizza is mediocre but will satisfy a craving for a slice. The reason I have to knock down a star is simply because of the service. I see the Unilocal reviews would agree that the woman that runs the place seemingly has a really awful way of approaching customers. Really closed and not friendly at all. It was kind of awkward because the«staff» we’re talking amongst themselves but awkwardly cold shouldering their customers. The customers bring you the MONEY!

Delicious pizza slices! I also loved the philly steak sandwiches. Fries and mozarella sticks are good and the prices seemed fair. The owners are kind of hilarious. It feels like a family atmosphere. One of my favorite hidden gems in the area.

2 stars instead of 1 because the food was good. However, absolutely RUDE woman working! We walked in at 9:40, which I understand is 20 minutes before they close… but as soon as we walk in, this lady says«We close in 5 minutes you 2 better hurry up and make a decision.» Then, as we are waiting for our pizza, the phone rings at 9:55 and the same lady answers and says«Sorry we’re closed already» and hangs up. How RUDE!!! Just because you serve good food is no excuse to treat your customers rudely!

A hidden gem in the shopping mall. The onion rings are super good. The regular philly sandwich with cheese is what we usually get. Everything is made to order and it’s super hot, even when you take it to go and bring it home. They wrap it nice and tight for you. The owners are very efficient and get you in and out. We’ve eaten there before, too. Get the combo as that is a better deal than ordering a la carte. They don’t really offer you the combo if you are ordering things separately, but perhaps they could suggest it to sell me up? Anyway, parking is kind of a pain, but usually you can get a spot on the street or squeeze in the lot.

Absolute WORSE service AND food. THEWORSECOMBOFORANYBUSSINESS… We checked online for closing time and we were in luck.(So we thought) The Internet said 10pm. We should have checked the reviews first but it was walking distance from her place so we settled. I walked in with my friend at 9:47. We got the dirtiest, most nastiest, unwelcome look from the lady(I’m guessing it’s the owner) She imidiately looked at the clock right as we walked in and said,“Whatever it is lady’s make it fast. We’re closing.“ As the customer I felt like she didn’t even want my BUSSINESS and if I hadn’t been so ridiculously hungry I would have just walked out and went somewhere else. We both were on food with no car though and this was the only place open. They had pizza slices out already made so we just ordered those and called it a day. Or in our case night. I will never go back this lady seems like she doesn’t appreciate bussiness during her store hours. She should be happy with ANY bussiness for that matter after seeing how bad their reviews are about the food they serve.

A group of us ordered: Pizza Steak, Cheeseburger, and Philly Cheese steak and curly fries… Burger was really good, pizza steak was a definite order again… The cheese steak however, was not worth even mentioning. There was very VERY little meat and a tiny bit of cheese. The meat to bun ratio was horrible and the meat was definitely burnt so that’s a NOGO. I would order from here again, but I not the Philly cheese steak. Oh and the curly fries were great

Tried what is supposed to be one of their specialties — The Philly. It was just not what I wanted nor thought it was going to be. There weren’t many peppers and some caramelized onions. Cheese that comes with it was a bit meh too. The bread tasted old or too dry. Didn’t do too much to this specialty of theirs. The fries I got with it as part of a lunch special that comes with a drink was a let down too. No salt, krinkle fries were left over because they were so lifeless. And I love fries so imagine my disappointment.

The only letdown with Philly is their bread. Otherwise — this would be five star. And — if you order French fries for delivery? THEYCOMETOYOUCRISPYANDSMOKINGHOT!!! Best delivery fries I’ve ever had ANYWHERE, EVER. Not tried their pizza, so no opinion there. Sammies are good(just need better bread). Seriously — you CANNOT go wrong with their fries!

Pretty mediocre to be honest and a but overpriced. As someone who grew up in the Philadelphia area, I have been on an unofficial hunt for the best cheesesteak in LA the past year or so. Some notes: –Bread was spongey and a bit stale –One half of my sandwich had almost no meat –Onion rings were of the cheap, frozen variety Not the worst I’ve ever eaten, but do not plan on going back.

I have been a patron here since I was in High school back in 1995 and I still stop by from time to time. Definitely my favorite Philly Steak Sandwich in Town. I usually just order for pick up, and I call ahead about 10 minutes so my order would be ready as I walk in right through the door. The strip mall is pretty small, and there is usually a crazy or 2 next door at 7-Eleven but I won’t hold that against them. Been a Loyal customer for almost 20 years and hope to be for many more!
