Philip Yalowitz, MD

Dr. Yalowitz is THE most compassionate, wonderful, caring doctor I have ever come across. They just don’t make doctors like him these days. He looks you in the eye when he talks to you. He never makes you feel like he is in a hurry and wants to get to his next patient. The way he seems to genuinely care about you is something one seldom sees in doctors these days. Cedars-​Sinai is lucky to have him as one of their doctors. He knows his field, which is urology, and has a way to talk to you as a person and not just as a patient. This is what I meant when I said he is a caring man. In today’s world of medicine where doctors spend more time staring at their computer and less time focusing on the patient, Dr. Yalowitz is from the «Marcus Welby School» (for those of you old enough to remember that TV show). His warmth and compassion almost makes one want to have a bladder infection. Almost.

I have been going to Dr. Yalowitz for 28 years and I can’t express enough what a knowledgeable, passionate and caring person he has been all these years. He is truly one of a kind. If you are looking for a great urologist, who takes his time with you to answer all your questions, like you are his only patient, look no further. If I could I would give him 10 stars.
