My review probably isn’t fair because I didn’t get to eat there. They are closed for a couple of months. Do not make the same mistake I did and think you can get similar food in the hotel restaurant. Not the same, not even close.

Excellent food. It is located in the Sheraton hotel and has some of the best food. Big you are staying at the hotel and need food definitely stop by. The food is high quality and the price reflects it but it is well worth it.

I’m not sure why this place has such good reviews. Took my parents for dinner before their flight and was very disappointed. The food was mediocre and only warm. We never received a refill on any of our drinks and no one checked in on us. The food was extremely over priced for what is was. I will never go back. It’s a shame too because the hotel looks very nice.

Nice spot inside the Sheraton hotel. I live in LA but was looking for something different. Service was good but the food came up short. Fine dining prices, so my expectations were high. We ordered a Caesar salad, the garganelli con saliccia, the rib eye and ossobucco. We enjoyed the Caesar, especially the polenta croutons. The garganelli was good but not great and the meats were a disaster. The rib eye was ordered medium rare but came out medium well and the ossobucco was dry and over cooked as well. We probably should have sent them back but the wait time on food was long. Instead our waiter was nice enough to comp us 2 glasses of wine and dessert. The main dining room as also featured live music which I thought was nice.

If this review was solely based on service it would be five stars. But, it’s not. I would give the food two stars making the review three stars. Here for an overnight stay I decided to dine at Paparazzi since I wouldn’t have to Über. I made my appearance at 5:30 and was immediately seated and given a menu. When the server approached I was informed the bread was still baking so there would be a delay! Say what? Didn’t you have all day to bake the bread? I asked for the wine list and asked my server to return when the bread, actually Fonseca, was done. Ten minutes later the warm crusty bread arrived. I ordered a bottle of Chianti from a very minimal wine list. I was surprised at the short list of available wines given the size and prices of this restaurant. There were four or five choices of most categories. While not spendy the choices could easily be extended in the mid and high range wines. I decided on the Beef Carpaccio for an appetizer. I was prepared to be wowed however the anticipated heavenly flavors didn’t happen. The beef was tender and flavorless, the added arugula, also flavorless. The only flavor was the added pepper and ribbons of Parmesan cheese. The salad of Burrata and Heirloom tomatoes was a winner! Beautifully presented and tasted as wonderful as advertised. This would be a choice I would make again. On to the entrée. Listed as Rack of Lamb with Fingerling Potaoes, I received two one bone chops on a bed of sautéed varietal peppers and onions. Not a tiny potato seen. I questioned my server on the«rack» and missing potatoes. She looked at the plate, dissapeared, returning with a small dish of fingerlings informing me she mentioned it to the chef who said the potatoes are very small so possibly I missed them! I do know a potato when I see or taste one. The lamb was requested medium rare and received very much medium. At this point I decided to just eat it and move on. As a side I ordered the Creamed Spinach. I’ve never received such an abisimal serving of this dish. Not only were the stems attached, the asiago cheese sauce was watery. Good flavor but a giant miss otherwise. Rounding out dinner I ordered a forty year port which was wonderful to enjoy with my Tiramisu which was frozen in the middle and mediocre at best. It was a total fail. The manager was brought to my table by my server who was concerned by my original questions on the lamb. He wanted to know how I enjoyed my meal! I showed him the fail on the creamed spinach and that the«rack» wasn’t even close. He did credit half the price of the Lamb and the entire amount for the spinach. I would not seek out this restaurant again unless I was staying here and would asked a lot of questions when ordering. The ambiance is very nice and the service top shelf. The food needs work in order to be considered four or five star worthy.

We wanted Italian food in this area, saw the good ratings on Unilocal, and it didn’t disappoint! A classic restaurant with live piano playing for the evening, we missed the big crowds earlier, so dinner date was quiet and romantic. Sparkling water, lemon drop and glass of champagne, it’s how we start our meal these days! Menu is bigger than I thought, lots of good choices. Starters: Table bread: the crispy ones were so good, loved the dried tomato olive oil spread! Roasted scallops with veggies: huge tender scallops, a bit salty but still very delicious, the veggies were so good too. Entrees: Cioppino with fish and shellfish: definitely the best Cioppino I have ever had! It’s been a while, I have always liked cioppino. Huge and meaty crawfish and crab claws, so fresh and tender. The salmon and squid were fairly tender, jumbo shrimps were a big hard. But the broth was amazingly delicious, LOVED it! I am drooling just writing this down! Ribeye rare plus: cooked to perfection, just the way Hubby liked, very flavorful and tender. So yummy! Skipped dessert, portions were big. Very delicious and comforting Italian food, service was top notch too! Glad we chose this restaurant, absolutely loved it! Ps. Remember to validate parking ticket!

We were on our way to LAX and had a yen for good pasta. We checked out Italian restaurants on our Unilocal App and found a few places, mostly family pizza style places. This place stood out as the type we were looking for, a bit romantic, top flight pasta… BUT it was in a hotel and frankly my experience with hotel places are not very good. To our surprise we were served delicious and rather inexpensive house red wines, wonderful hot bread with butter and a hot sauce and two incredible pasta dishes. the Bolognese.with all sorts of fresh spices and a tasty sauce and a Primavera with loads of great vegetables. for my vegetarian friend. We will be back to check out their tremendous menu. service was great, very helpful in our selection of entrees. we had a very enjoyable first visit. price for two pasta entrees and wine $ 57.00. valet parking is $ 8.00

Located in the Sheraton conveniently just blocks away from LAX. There’s valet parking for $ 6.60 with validation for 3 hours. But mediocre food. Soggy, cold, chewy calamari. Lasagna came cold and lacked flavor. Only good dish was garganelli pasta with sausage served hot. Panna cotta is like a runny pudding with no Nutella flavor. Nice ambience near LAX, but food is disappointing. I will go to In N Out when I am waiting near the airport.

Whenever I stop in LA, I always stop by the restaurant to get the lamb chops dish. Also, the bartender Heraticio Martin is amazing. He’s never gotten my order wrong and he knows how to make THEBEST drinks. I’d definitely recommend this place!!!

Love this joint end of story ! Each time I’m in LA as I previously mentioned I always stop here the night before I fly out. The service and atmosphere are fantastic I love to get there a little early and sit out back by the pool and have a few cocktails before dinner.

My mom and I came for dinner, and the pasta was amazing. We ordered two different pastas dishes, and they were equally flavourful with perfect portion sizes! The price was decent too! $ 60 for 2 pasta entrees and a glass of wine. We will be back for sure on our next visit to LA!

The pictures and the reviews stated that the steak was amazing… Let’s just say that it was under flavored and a bit tough. I wasn’t the only one at the table to feel that way. The cioppino was good from what I tasted and the service was also amazing but the food did not make up for it.

I stayed in Sheraton Gateway Hotel during my transition trip to China. I went to Paparazzi that night for dinner. It literally unleashed my potential to eat like I have never eaten before! Maybe I have left L. A for too long.

Staying at the Sheraton was a bit of a disappointment when compared to other choices in the area, but I’ll spare you the boredom. One good thing about the Sheraton though is the fabulous Paparazzi Restorante. Every night it popped up on my Unilocal app with a filter for $$$, and on my third night, I succumbed to the resistance of eating heavy pasta. I dined during the final World Series game and the lounge was roaring, so decided to eat in the main dining area. I was seated near the lounge, but after few minutes my zen state was overwhelmed with drunken ladies screaming as if actually at the stadium or a true sports bar. I asked to be moved and my waitress without reservation relocated me to the opposite side of the dining area. We gave each other an understanding smile, regarding the ladies and their exuberant behavior. The décor is fresh and classic with bright reds throughout. The restaurant is walled with photographs of famous celebrities, hence the name Paparazzi Restorante. The restaurant has several dining sections including a lounge and private open rooms for small parties. Very tasteful décor with crisp white table cloths throughout. The lighting is also perfect with spot lights illuminating each table and the gallery. Immediately I was asked for my drink preference and was handed menus, of which one was a Prix Fixe. After perusing the dinner menu, I decided to go with the three course Prix Fixe($ 45). I begun with the Alla Grilia Di Pere, made with grilled pear wedges, wild berry arugula, large pieces of blue cheese, roasted sweet walnuts topped with sherry dressing. It was an amazing beginning, with the sweetness of the pears and walnuts offsetting the slight bitterness of the arugula. The pear grilled preparation was attention to detail and gave them a soft texture. For my main course I chose the Agnello Osso Buco, it was simply incredible. It consisted of lamb braised in red wine and cinnamon, resulting in a very savory and acidic flavor that was a perfect balanced match to the gnocchi pasta with a robust tomato sauce. I was not given a steak knife, but once I begun eating I understood why; the lamb was so tender that my knife was more for show of civilized dining than a necessity. Already full and thoroughly satisfied I was served my chosen Tiramisu for dessert; I also had a choice of the Whisky Crème Brûlée. The Tiramisu was torte style made with lady fingers soaked in espresso garnished with cocoa powder. The mascarpone cream was perfect combination for the dense cake. By inquisition I was informed that everything that the restaurant serves is made from scratch including the highly addicting freshly baked bread served with olive oil infused with dried tomatoes and herbs. My server, Lorena, was very pleasant and made my dining experience nothing but delightful. In fact I was so impressed I returned the following night, and had the pleasure of being served by Lorena again. This time, I skipped the Prix Fixe menu and ordered from the dinner menu. The menu did not include a salad with beets, so I asked Lorena and she made it happen. She brought me a simple combination of fresh Mozzarella and beat wedges with roasted peanuts and balsamic vinaigrette. Wow, the firm beets, soft cheese and their subtle sweetness was amazing. Following I indulged in the Lasagna al Brasato, which is lasagna stuffed with slow braised boneless short ribs, French ricotta, organic spinach, Parmigiano Reggiano in Bechamel Sauce. The inclusion of the short ribs was what sold me on this dish, as it’s something I haven’t tasted before. It was super rich with flavor of each ingredient present, but the short ribs stole the stage with every bite. If lasagna is your Italian dish of choice, this is a must try. I finished off my meal with the Whisky Crème Brûlée, which had a perfect crispy top with a smooth Crème and it was beautifully presented just like the rest of the dishes. This place without doubt is the best Italian restaurant on Century Boulevard and beyond. Next time I need to try the steaks here, as they claim to be a chop house as well.

I dined here last night & was pleasantly surprised for a hotel restaurant to have such great food. The octopus salad was light & refreshing. The scallops were prepared well with a great sauce that didn’t overpower the delicate taste of the scallops. The ossobuco was tender flavorful & of course fell right off the bone. Our rib eye, cowboy steak, prepared medium rare had a great char flavor and of course the fat on it charred was delicious! Dessert turned out to be a great finale. I had a lemoncello dessert & a peanut butter Panna cotta that was absolutely polar opposites in flavors but truly decadent to finish out the night. I will dine here again when I’m in the area.

Absolutely phenomenal food in a beautiful hotel 45 seconds from LAX. I stay here because it’s a very nice Sheraton but the bigger hook is that this hotel restaurant serves up unique and gourmet southern Italian cuisine with the owner/chef in back, and a dining experience best described as extra-special. This restaurant does not feel as though it’s in a hotel; the design is crisp and clean, white linens everywhere, with full wall-width mirrors on 2 sides showing off lots of large mod chandeliers, leather seating, and B&W framed photos of movie stars and celebrities adorning the other walls. Recent trip, day 1: Chilean Sea Bass with spring pea emulsion and pan-seared organic baby artichokes; day 2, osso buco(22 ounce fall off the bone…) with a bordeaux glaze, on top of Milanese risotto with local, organic baby carrots; day 3, Italian seaside cioppino with every shellfish imaginable in a saffron-tomato broth, with toasted sourdough garlic breads. 3 nights and 3 star-studded meals, which happens every time I visit. I reluctantly tell the Unilocaling world about Paparazzi, cuz I want it all to myself. Wife and I started eating here 4 years ago on a layover and were blown away with the food, ambiance, and service. Still true today, and I’ll have no reason to ever leave the Sheraton for a dinner as long as this place continues its pace into LA Hall of Fame Italian dining. Crazy good, unbelievable food! 5 stars all day long, and the atmosphere(Hollywood swank) is tony, with leather seating and white tablecloths. See Jaime(pronounce hay-may), he’s a cool cat with always a great recommendation and a smile with 5-star service!
