Pantry’s Pizza

Delicious pizza. Decent pizza. Good prices. Definitely recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed with the pizza. Kind staff that works there.

Seriously, don’t even waste your time with this place. I should of checked the reviews before ordering. I ordered from here on Eat24 two nights ago. All I ordered was a cheesecake, a chocolate brownie, and a grilled cheese sandwich. It was late, and my boyfriend and I were craving something sweet and didn’t want to leave the house or spend too much money, so this place seemed legit. The cheesecake and brownie were only 3.25 $ each. I tacked on the grilled cheese to reach the 9 $ minimum. This place is 1.2 miles from my house, that’s it 1.2 miles. My GPS said it is a 3 minute drive. When I ordered on Eat24 I noticed they never gave me an estimated time of delivery, which literally every single restaurant I ever ordered from Eat24 always gives me a wait time of around 30 – 1 hour, so I found it odd when I noticed above the timer there was no ETA in the Eat24 app.
They called me about 35 minutes later to tell me they didn’t have cheesecake. Really? You waited THAT long to tell me you didn’t have an item? I told them I would take two chocolate brownies instead. I was already annoyed that they waited this long to tell me. An hour goes by, it’s now been 1 hr and 35 mins later.
I message Eat24 to tell them to contact the restaurant. Eat24 tells me that they said the driver left awhile ago and he will be there in 5 mins. The messenger on Eat24 was nice enough to ask the manager for a discount to accommodate for the insanely long wait. Of course the manager refused. His excuse «it was really busy when she ordered.» Bullsh*t. It was a Tuesday night at 10pm. Please. I see multiple other reviews saying that they always take a long time, so apparently I’m not the only one who has had this problem.
I wait 15 mins, still nothing. It’s now been almost 2 hours. I message Eat24 to cancel the order because at this point I was just completely over it. My house is 3 minutes away so WTF is the driver doing with my food for this long?! I found it very suspicious. OF COURSE right when I tell them to cancel, the driver shows up. I asked him what took him so long, all he said was «sorry» with no explanation. No tip for you buddy! The grilled cheese was COLD and tasted like the packaged grilled cheese sandwiches from my high school. And the brownies? Well they weren’t brownies. They were actually chocolate mousse cakes, which is fine… They were actually pretty tasty, but it still would have been nice to know what kind of dessert I was getting especially when I was just on the phone with an employee.
Never again. This place should be out of business. The way they handle business here is absolutely insulting. Even though pantry’s pizza did not offer me a discount, Eat24 offered me 5 $ off from any restaurant on eat24 to accommodate me for the horrible experience. The messenger on Eat24 said that they have had many complaints about this restaurant and will consider kicking them off Eat24.

Had driven by this place before and since it was lazy weather (rainy) decided to give them a shot. They have a pretty good looking menu but we wanted easy so we stuck with pizza. I ordered online and that is easy. The prices are very reasonable. We ordered a large cheese and a personal pepperoni. Option to pay by credit card and tip all online which is great if you are like me and never have cash on hand when you need it. Got an email stating that delivery would be 30 – 45 minutes. I ordered at 8:13, received a confirmation email at 8:17 (with deliver time) and my pizza arrived at 9:19. Pizzas were barely warm. Pepperoni looked good. The cheese pizza looked old and tooooo much cheese. The pepperoni tasted fine. The cheese tastes doughy and heavy. I don’t want to rule them out because there was a pacquiao fight tonight but as a first time customer, I wasn’t impressed. I can’t say when I will eat here again. I might try going in next time whenever that may be.

great prices, great food. Their chicken and shrimp are the best for such a low price

The best thing about the pasta I just orders was the side salad… So I ordered from grubhub which was a waste of time because they called me asking for the order again.
I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce. When the order finally arrived I got a flat container of spaghetti with watery tomato sauce with NO meat and melted cheese which was starting to get cold
The garlic bread was cold, had flecks of garlic randomly distributed atop more melted cheese
They only got 2 stars because of the salad which was not just lettuce– it also had tomatoes mushrooms olives and chheese so that was a pleasant surprise
Overall nasty and not worth it

Disgusting food. So disappointed that they think this is acceptable to deliver to costumers. Paid about $ 10 for this plate of burnt hash browns, nasty eggs and sausage.
Paid the delivery fee and tipped the driver only to find out how poor their food is.

This place always has good specials. I always get the Two pizza combo;one chicken and one shrimp. Give them a try. Tell them Big T sent ya.

The food isn’t bad but the service is HORRIBLE! Do not order delivery. The guy who took my order never entered it so I’m sitting in my office waiting for a hour, I call them asking about our food and they told me that the idiot never put the order in. I had to repeat my order which was a taco plate and chili cheese fries with onions, pastrami and jalapeños on the side. We wait about another hour we get the food and no onions, and no jalapeños! Barely any pastrami and my lemonade was hot! Like wtf? R u serious? We order from there frequently for lunch and this is not the first Time they screw up our order. I will no longer purchase food from them again.

This is the worst pizza i have ever had in my entire life. If they make a bunch of other great food they should take the word pizza out of the name.
Chef you gotta cook the pizza long enough for the toppings to cook through. Please do not pile raw toppings on a horrible cheese pizza that is not the way to make pizza. Go eat pizza at any other place and then make yours like that.
And it was over $ 10 for a (not pizza) that was barely 8 inches in diameter.

DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY! My order took almost an hour and 30 minutes to get here… ridiculous

Worst service!!! I had to wait 25 minutes for a simple egg and sausage breakfeast to which they didnt start making it until I made the complaint, by that time my appetite was gone. Everyone I ask how how their orders usually take informed they’ve the same issues. The floors are so dirty, flies are over the eating tables, why hasn’t any one called the Health Inspectors??? Believe I will… hope others do the same.

I think I have wrote a review before and I had nothing but good things to say, but today wow, I doubt I will ever order again. We placed our order at 12:15 and yes we know it usually takes about an hr not not today they took 2 hrs and the lady who ever her name is had the nerve to say we ordered at 12:55 like really we are not dumb and we saw the time, we called to check if the order was on its way they said yes, but not it wasn’t. RIDICULOUS !!! Never again.

Love their late night delivery burgers w/​cheese & bacon & their onion rings & their chocolate cake (brownie) & their fries & their delivery drivers…

This place looks terrible and run down… but my experience wasn’t all too bad. I got a nice big plate of food for under $ 10 I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs dinner with salad and garlic and I ordered a fountain drink. I waited about 15 minutes and got my food. The spaghetti was nice. The sauce is home made but lacks flavor. The meatballs are very good! I didn’t care for the thousand island on my salad. Not sure if I will be a regular here for the pasta but they have so many other items and it seems like u get bang for your buck here. I did today. :) oh and the man behind the counter was cool.

Waited an hour and a half. Got a phone call just now saying the kitchen broke down .no sorry of anything !! This place has been going down hill for the past 6 months. Threw away their menu !!

Good pizza is hard to come by in LA. Luckily I live close to Pantry’s. I’ve only had their veggie pizza, but it crushes most other strip mall pizza joints in town. Order that veggie ‘za and tell yourself I told you so.

I straddle the fence when it comes it Pantry’ Pizza. On one hand, I am totally a fan of their 9pc drummette dinner which is 9 pieces of fried chicken drummettes, french fries, salad, and a roll which I think no one ever eats. No offense to dinner rolls everywhere. On the other hand, I get quoted an hour delivery time and it’s become a norm to hear a knock on the door around the hour and a half mark.
Their prices are fairly reasonable for a «hole-​in-​the-​wall» joint: pizza, calzones, burgers, subs, salads, chicken, pasta, and mexican food.
Twice I received food which was lukewarm and seemed like leftovers.
Once it took over two hours for my delivery. I called to cancel and next thing you know I hear the front door and open it to a panting pizza guy. The food wasn’t cold or old so I let it slide that ONE time.
Tip to live by: for places such as Pantry’s or Mr. Angelo’s, don’t order food two hours before closing time. Seven times out of ten, the food was likely sitting out all day and reheated to sale.

I live right near Pantry’s so I have actually seen it in person, which is why I would probably never order a pizza from this place. It’s a burger joint — and not one of the new-​fangled deluxe/​gourmet burger joints that are popping up all over LA. This is a burger joint like a «Tom’s #7» in a strip mall or something like that. Very run down and simple. The fact that they call themselves a pizza place is very strange as I have never seen a pizza leave this place — not once. The menu is all over the place (much like a typical burger joint) — burgers, sandwiches, tacos, mexican food, small bites, orange bang on tap, and I guess pizza. I usually stop by to grab a quick cheeseburger combo with fries and a drink. I like burger joint burgers — the patties aren’t too big, they are charbroiled, and they load the burger with the classics — lettuce, tomato, onion and 1000 island. Ask for the fries crispy. I occasionally enjoy this simple meal. But would I order a pizza or probably anything else? Nope. I actually did order spaghetti and garlic bread once — it wasn’t disgusting, but it certainly wasn’t good.
haha — just read another review in which someone ordered a shrimp cocktail from this place and was disappointed — it must have been delivery — because if you walk into this place and you order a shrimp cocktail, you deserve what you get — sorry :/
