We’ve been customers of Paco’s for a long time, long before this location opened. From the day this location opened, we’ve been regulars here. Sure, we used to live within walking distance of this location, but we would drive miles to get there. The wait staff has very low turnover, we have seen the same employees for many years, they know how to provide service. The tortillas are hand made right in the dining room, make sure you tip the ladies. The only better tortillas were made by my mother in law, these are right up there close behind. Long time family owned. Full bar with lots of seating in the bar area, and plenty of screens to watch sports, but the screens and noise are not overpowering, you can still carry on a conversation. Most of the time, you can order from the full menu in the bar area, but not Friday and Saturday nights, phone them and verify that if it might be an issue. Of course, excellent margaritas, along with the full bar.

Just left there… gotta say this was one’s a keeper. Bobby was an awesome waitor! He kept us laughing, introduced us to the Super Mex Burrito and made us feel like we could create our own dish with whatever our hearts desired… for a fee of course. He even surprised us at the end of our meal with a surprise magic show. The food was delicious. Hand made tortillas, fresh chips, and salsa that is definitely for those that enjoy flavor(approach with caution for those who do not like spice!). Their shredded chicken was moist and well seasoned. Not one complaint could be heard from me when my taco fell apart from the juices oozing from the sauce in the chicken. But if you were sitting next to me, you would know I was enjoying every minute of it. Could not have asked for more. Good food, great drinks, reasonable prices, entertaining waitor and overall friendly staff… would definitely recommend & will definitely be back soon!

Paco’s Tacos is big and colorfull and a classic of the big family oriented Mexican Restaurant, from the time 50 years ago when taking the family out for Mexican food was special, and an adventure. The staff are dressed up in costume, the restaurant is decorated and you can watch the tortillas being hand made. The food is classic as well and covers all the items you would expect to find. Well made and tasty. There is a full bar seperate from the main dining room. The margaritas are large and delicious and they have a good selection of Mexican beers. If you come on a busy night and don’t want to wait, you can usually find a seat there. I am told the full menu is available in the bar.

First time there this morning and didn’t even dine there. Arrived 15 minutes before 11 a.m. And was able to enter the restaurant not knowing the opening time. The hostess immediately approached our party of three and told us they are not open until 11 a.m. So I told her we will come back at 11. The bar tender asked us how we were able to enter and I told him your front door is open. When we returned at 11 a.m. The hostess made a phone call, then told us unfortunately they will not be opening just yet as the are experiencing some plumbing issues and would not know the eta or when it might be fixed(again no signs of closure or an apology). I told the hostess thanks for not telling me 15 minutes ago of your problem and we all left the restaurant! When I called for the owner at the Centinela location, he was not there and I was only offered an apology that the employee made a mistake. Really, a mistake ? Will not be patronizing any of the two restaurants ever again!

This place is the perfect place for a first date for all the wrong reasons: 1. The lighting is dark so your date won’t have to see your face in all its glory 2. There’s alcohol and it’s pretty strong, you’ll need it. 3. Chips and salsa served right away and unlimited so your date will go easy on you and not order the entire menu 4. Fresh tortillas being made and displayed to give the illusion that you’ve been brought to somewhere fancy 5. Liquor store around the corner, for more of that liquor you’ll be wanting when after finishing the meal all you hear is… «all the great mexican places in LA you brought me here for the dry ass tacos. but the beans? oh the beans were great and I ate plenty.»

Girls night out started with great food, drinks and service here on Friday night! Paco’s is kitschy, covered in colorful Mexican décor and a classic local favorite. They do not have happy hour, but every hour is happy. For lunch or dinner the street tacos of any variety are delicious. You can also try the enchiladas or the garlic shrimp dish. My friends ordered these items last night and let me try a bite of each– Delish! I ordered the chicken fajitas and was not disappointed. They were packed with peppers and onions and tender moist chicken strips. Everything was incredibly flavorful. The chips are warm and fresh. The salsa is spicy and yummy. But, One of the most special things about this place are the handmade tortillas. There are two women making them on a huge iron skillet if you’d like to watch them. The corn tortillas are fresh, and the flour tortillas are buttery and irresistible! They also do a great skinny margarita. And for breakfast or brunch, they serve all the classics. Omelettes, chiliquilles, etc. It’s a great spot to stop!

What you get here is a local Mexican restaurant that has flair and décor, with average food. I had the two taco combo and it was just okay. The highlight is the homemade tortillas, which are little treats from heaven. My group came on a Wednesday afternoon around noon and the waiters were attentive. A definite negative is that parking can be difficult, they have a HUGE lot, but it services all the surrounding stores and tends to get packed.

I didn’t have a great initial experience when I first got there, maybe I was being too critical, but I digress. I ordered an horchata as I feel everyone should when eating at a Mexican restaurant – so complimentary. I was a little disappointed at the lack of cinnamon-y kick that I look for in an horchata and it was partially watered down. Entreé: The carné asada platter was decent. I requested the meat to be medium rare, I’ll be sure to order it well done next time to take advantage of the mild charcoally taste I feel it was supposed to have. The saving grace of this meal for me came in the form of these fresh, delicious and homemade tortillas. Highly recommend for these tortillas alone.
