i LOVE this shop!!! So many unique and handmade items to choose from, much of which is made by very talented local designers. The owner is so sweet and helpful and can turn any of your dingy, old, beat up pieces into a beautiful piece of wardrobe! Not to mention her prices are fantastic. Orecul 77 is one of a handful of establishments turning Highland Park, more specifically York blvd into a walkable, hip hood!

A friend & I stopped by Orecul77 after hearing about a «vintage sale» going on. What we found was a super cute store with a lot of independently designed wares and a pile of vintage/thrifted clothes on the floor in honor of the«sale.» Now I’m NO stranger to digging through piles/racks of clothes to find gems but I was just expecting a little bit more. And that’s ok because the shop is fairly new to the neighborhood and still growing. Also, I think it’s totally awesome that they do custom tailoring/styling there. I love to sew but don’t often have time to sit down and do it. I can’t imagine how many other people out there are longing for more creative options in clothing and Orecul77 can be a great resource for that. I also saw some of the skirts that were made out of vintage fabric and while they weren’t in my size, they were still super cute and looked well made. I’m looking forward to seeing the shop grow.

I love my feather diadem, i have not taken it off. It’s been to NY, Seattle, Arizona and of course lovely LA. Everywhere I’ve been people have commented on it. I am loving this great new shop on York Blvd, eclectic one of a kind pieces combined with vintage pieces and the latest stuff. This is a great addition to the York gentrification.

Orecul77 is new boutique in Highland Park. They carry handmade gifts, accessories, and functional art. Orecul77’s real specialty is deconstruction, reconstruction, and rejuvenation of their client’s wardrobe. In-house clothier, Tawni Marie Lucero, creates unique pieces for men and women from items that clients bring to her or from recycled and sustainable fabrics. Orecul77 serves as a retail space and a production facility. Take your them your favorite old garments and breath new life into them. It’s great to see a store with the philosophy of «For the People, By the People» setting up shop in Highland Park. York Blvd. is becoming an eastside hub of culture, fashion, and community.
