I recently moved to LA and I was looking for a go-to sushi place and I am glad that I discovered Orange Door Sushi! The sushi is very high quality and pretty cheap considering that they give you a lot of food per order. I go pretty often for the Adams roll! The service is great and the staff is very friendly.

We ordered delivery. We had sushi and the chicken combo. I really dont know why this place has bad reviews. The food was great, the delivery arrived earlier that expected and even the presentation was nice. I also had left over sushi the next day and it tasted even better cold. I really recommend this place

I ordered from here, through Eat24… They sent me a meal that sent both my girlfriend, and I to the hospital… After 8 hours of continuous/non– stop vomiting the hospital administered 2 shots of morphine for the pain, and 5 anti nausea shots into each of us! The remaining food has been sent off to a laboratory to be tested for food born illness as well as any possible chemical contamination, because they microwaved a soup in a foam container that upon pouring the soup out had eaten away at the foam from the high temperatures, I’m assuming during microwaving… STAYAWAY!

Had the spicy ramen delivered to my apartment. It was still hot and very tasty. Not to mention their chicken fried rice is pretty good as well. Definitely satisfied!

The people are very nice but the sushi rolls are not very tasty. I can not believe these 5 star ratings. We got a spicy tuna roll, a California roll, and a crunchy type roll. The spicy tuna was a strong one note flavor that just made me grimace. The california roll had only a mild hint of flavor and wasn’t as bad as the spicy tuna. The crunch roll with all it’s dressing and sauce on top had very little flavor at all. This was the first time my gf and I left rolls on the table before leaving. The kitchen and counter area looked very dingy and unclean. I was very surprised to see an A rating hanging on the wall.

Yesterday, my husband and I found this place on Unilocal! They deliver. I ordered online and paid through PayPal. The sushi was well prepared and presented. Our favorite was the lobster rolls. We also ordered mixed fried rice and three other sushi rolls, which were great too! I highly recommend Orange Door Sushi!

The best place in town. First time and had an amazing lunch with my daughter. We will be back.

The roll were tasty, as were the stuffed mushroom appetizers. Try the dynamite roll — baked crab with avocado. Or try the king kong — shrimp with tempura. Prices are reasonable: $ 8 — $ 12 per roll. Check them out if you’re looking for a new sushi spot. They’re hidden in a little strip mall just off Adams.

First time trying this place and already regret it. Got the lobster roll and the rice was soooo freaking hard i could barely eat it. Never have i ever had sushi with hard rice. Everything on the roll was good except for the main component of the dish. The RICE!!! I just dont understand. Paid almost 30 bucks on a beef terriyaki bowl that was too greasy & sushi that hard crusty hard rice. So sad.

Their food is always yummy and taste fresh. They deliver and its very convenient, but can be pricey because there is a minimum for delivery.

Don’t know why people complain. Ordered a couple times and each time was a good experience. Food arrived in a timely fashion(30−45min) and is normal priced. Not the best rolls but good, and the only one local in ktown that delivers. They’ve never forgotten any part of my order and always comes with utensils napkins and soy sauce and wasabi.

The Heart Attack Roll and the Lobster Roll are both really good! I personally liked the Lobster Roll better but if you like spicy, go with the Heart Attack. We also ordered the Spicy Pork Ramen but that definitely wasn’t good! It didn’t have any flavor and we made sure to order the pork broth. It’s a good place for sushi though!

I came here after grocery shopping and being too exhausted to cook lol, both of my rolls were the same with different toppings which I didn’t notice until I was almost finished but they were both really yummy –HEARTATTACK the roll had a crab, avocado, cucumber, white rice, seaweed roll topped with tuna a jalapeño slice, and the creamy sauce everything was selfish really fresh and great presentation **NOTE** for some reason they only put the creamy sauce and no spicy sauce on my roll –LOBSTERROLL was the same roll as the heart attack the topping was a really light and perfectly crunchy lobster tempura with unagi sauce and spicy mayo it was the better of the two rolls :)))) (Both rolls served with wasabi and ginger) AMBIANCE is soooo bleh in here I’m assuming they just opened but the color scheme is grey with black and orange accents and NOART like what even? Literally no art on any of the walls SERVICE was bleh too the food came out fast but it was empty on a Thursday night

I haven’t even tried the food yet, but I just spent $ 40 on sushi just for me so I could have it delivered, and I specifically requested wasabi and ginger and there is neither wasabi nor ginger. When I called, the guy who answered the phone said they don’t provide it with the rolls. After I pointed out that I specifically requested it, he apologized. But I now have a bunch of sushi without wasabi, which sucks. Seriously people? You should be putting was Sabe and ginger in every sushi plate, just like every other sushi restaurant… especially since you require a minimum of $ 35 to be spent before you will deliver.

I don’t know what the deal is with all the complaints about this place. I just finished eating the delivery order from there as a first time customer. Everything was delicious! My order was perfect, came much faster than the suggested delivery time, and the driver was friendly in a non-creepy way. What I can’t believe nobody is mentioning is that they use REALCRAB in their rolls! Anyone who orders sushi in LA from any place less fancy than a Japanese fine dining restaurant, knows that finding real crab is next to impossible. Most people I complain to about this situation say they can’t tell the difference. Are you KIDDINGME??? The rolls here at Orange Door are huge(about 10 pieces each), beautifully presented(even for delivery) and I can’t believe that their prices are about the same as all the other places in LA that only offer imitation crab. I got the champion roll, yum! The soy chicken wings will quickly become a craving and the avocado salad was gorgeous and very fresh. Yeah, delivery is $ 5 and I tipped 20% in advance on good faith. I was not disappointed. Bonus information: I ordered through GrubHub, like a lot of people. The delivery driver gave me a take out menu with at coupon attached to it. He said that if you order by phone or through , they will punch your coupon for each time you order and after only six, you get ANY roll for free on your next order. They even stamped my coupon they gave me, even though I didn’t know about the deal and went through GrubHub. Must be cheaper for them not to go through a middle-man. Whatever, I’ll take it. Free sushi! And it was very good. Nothing bland about it.

Food was good. Baked salmon roll was bland. Edamame was not as tasty as other places. However the HWY10 roll was AMAZING. Fresh fish, very well put together. The rolls are packaged individually with ginger and a slab of wasabi(had they disclosed this on the menu, I would have avoided buying wasabi for $ 2, womp womp) I ordered through GrubHub, first time using it. Fast delivery but the only thing I have a problem with is the driver and the change he had My total was $ 32.70(be aware that this total includes a $ 5 delivery fee) and I had $ 100. No change. The driver conveniently had exactly $ 60 in change/no more, no less. 2– $ 20’s /1 -$ 10⁄10 — single dollar bills. First there is the language barrier, then he has the AUDACITY to tell me «well, you can give me $ 7 tip, I’m so sorry» UMMMMMMM, I WASLIVID, but kept my cool. I don’t like people telling me how to spend my money and not give me choices. He went back to his car as he mumbled something, I thought he was going to check for change as I had already been charged a $ 5 delivery fee. He got in his car and LEFT! Did not bother to call or say why he just took off with my change. Called the restaurant and delivery dude was already there, offered me a coupon for a free item. I will be calling and giving them another shot! Hey at least I get a free item and the food is good so far. **tip for the restaurant– train your drivers to communicate better! And carry a fair amount of change. Thanks!
