No Toro Food Truck

The burrito was soggy, rice was slimy, probably because of the black beans. The meat was kind of tough, disappointing. $ 10.50 for a burrito, Super expensive! I could get a burrito from a real taco truck for $ 5 made with love and authenticity and way better ingredients. Not worth the money!
I actually recommend Tacos el Pollo on Rosemead in Pasadena, get the carne asada/​al pastor burrito or quesadilla! Those guys are the best!

I wanted the chicken bowl, but they were out of chicken, so I got the carnitas bowl. It was $ 2 more, but tasted pretty good. It was bit salty, but not too salty to eat.
I also got the chips and guacamole. Overall, not bad. I’d give them another try next time I encounter the truck.

I should’ve known by the corny posers hanging around this truck that it was bad news.

They were outside my office, so thought I’d give it a try. The beef burrito bowl was passable, but way overpriced at $ 10.

The price is sort of high but that goes with pretty much any food truck.
I believe for 3 tacos it’s around $ 11. That’s still fairlyyyyyyyyyyy priced in my opinion. I see reviews for this particular truck aren’t that high but I would like to add in my 4 star review because I DISAGREE.
I thought the tacos were fantastic. Not your typical street taco truck or I guess cart. A little more high end, the meat was very good quality. The flavor was fantastic. I got 2 beef and 1 chicken and I thought both meats were bursting with flavor. I chose to get the hot salsa (I believe there’s like a mild a few other options if you want). Comes with cheese, lettuce, and probably something else I am forgetting to mention.
I would say each taco is about 1.5−2 times as big as a street taco. So eating 3 of these is the equivalent of eating like 5 or 6 tacos from let’s say King Taco or a taco truck. That’s a decent amount of food for $ 11 I’d say.
I got a side of chips and PICO salsa and it was delish. Chips were good and the pico was excellent. This truck is A-​Okay in my book.

The service, and the ladies were a very pleasant experience. The tacos are really flavorful! Seriously no bull. A must in my opinion :)

I’ve been following this food truck for awhile and I was finally able to track it down last Wednesday at Grand park in LA. The truck is pretty fancy on the outside and they have a lot of menu options. Ultimately I decided on the carnitas burrito with no cheese. I though the burrito was pretty tasty. The burrito had white rice, lettuce, Pico de Gallo and black beans. To me a burrito should have refried beans and salsa. It had white rice which to me is a little fufu. Overall the taste was good. i kidded the burrito and a caned soda and the total was about $ 13.50, in my mind way too expensive. $ 10 tops.

Burritos are good BUT it s wayyyy overpriced. The burritos they sell are definitely not worth over 10 $. Dont get me wrong, they re good but I give them 2 stars because they are charging way too much for what it is. The quality is probably lower than chipotle, the burritos are way smaller but guess what, they cost almost 5 $ more

I ordered the beef salad boat and was excited that it could be another Chipotle style food. Barely any wait, but food was horrible. The meat was tough and chewy, with salsa and black beans the only flavor. I basically threw away most of my food.

My daughter got a beef burrito today while at Navy Days in San Pedro. The burrito was really good and juicy. The black beans and rice had tons of flavor. Everyone was fighting over the last bite! Thank you for the great food, serving our country and supporting Navy Days!

I’m shocked this truck doesn’t have a higher rating because they are really good and I make a point of not bringing my lunch to work when I know they’re going to be outside the building! I agree that the prices are kind-​of high, but once I tasted the quality of the ingredients, I didn’t care. I always order the beef burrito or bowl because the meat is really tender, perfectly seasoned, and they don’t skimp on portion size. The proportion of meat to the rest of the ingredients (veggies, rice, black beans, and cheese) feels like you’re getting your money’s worth. And DEFINITELY get some of their pineapple salsa to go with your order. It’s the perfect balance of sweet and heat — I could eat it with a spoon! Their menu says the pineapple salsa is made by them, but if it isn’t and someone knows where I could buy it, please let me know! I’m not even joking. I would buy a case of it. Anyway, I’ve never noticed a long wait or them being out of an ingredient, but maybe that’s just my good luck. The people in the truck have always been nice and helpful, the food I’ve had is crave-​worthy, so it’s a 5 star experience for me!

Guacamole was bad, chips where bad. Rice was bad, I paid 18 almost 19 for a burrito lemonade chips and guacamole, hella nasty. I would have rather paid $ 5.00 for a real Mexican burrito. The burrito was just so bland; typical

Super unprepared. By 12:30pm (halfway through the lunch rush!) they were out of guacamole and spicy salsa, two staples for a Mexican food truck! In addition, they didn’t have any one-​dollar bills. The food was pretty decent, other than not having sour cream like I asked. Overall, not a good experience. Please be more prepared next time!

Fake Mexican food at its worst. Lots of lies on their menu. «Fresh made» turned out to be salsa straight from a jar and tortilla chips from a Kirkland bag. I know because I saw the bag & packages. The burrito bowl was horrible. The chicken was dime sized scraps most of which were charred to a crisp. Not to mention the ridiculous prices & extra charge for using your card. NEVER having this again. For $ 10 & up you are much better off going to Chipotle!

Overpriced. I decided against the additional guacamole for $ 2 on my already $ 12 tacos. I instead opted for the combo — adding chips and guacamole for $ 6. The chips claimed to be «fresh made daily»…what a joke. They looked like store-​bought chips and tasted stale. $ 18 for average tacos and stale chips was extreme overpriced and a disappointing experience.

Saw this truck at Stubhub’s Pitch & Pale happening on Fridays from 4pm to 9pm.
So this was the second truck I tried because my gut needed more intake and those two Kobe sliders were not covering my appetite.
Tried their chicken burrito bowl which was a very nice portion of rice, beans, salsa, sour cream and chicken, no tortilla needed here.
Chicken was truly tender and marinated well, all tasted fantastic. Reminded me of chipotle.

Healthy Mexican seems to be a trend here in California and in Brick and Mortar establishments there are lots of players both big and small. In the food truck world there are players too but obviously the playing field is a little more level here.
No Toro is a truck that definitely plays in that category but it stands out because the truck is chef driven and the food is just good.
Their approach is somewhat unique as well
First choose your protein (s), then choose what form you want it in; taco, burrito, bowl (boat) or, salad.
Your stalkers tried an assortment of their meats in taco form.
They were good, and satisfying.
This is one of those trucks where when you first get it, it doesn’t seem like enough, and then you eat it and realize that it’s more filling than it looks.
So I have to say it, If you’re looking for a good, guilt free meal of Mexican food, try this truck!
No problems at all and dare I say it???
