Don’t shop here. The owner is nice but he’s not always there and his employee, the female with highlights specifically, is a b*tch. She always gives me an issue. I’m a licensed beautician, so the owner gives me a discount on my purchases cause I buy a lot of supplies here, and whenever the lady cashes me out, she gives me this long spiel about how the still need to make a profit blah blah blah. Keep in mind, she’s not a manager or owner. Land cherry on top of the cake, today while I was looking around the store, she rudely asked me «are you done?». Sorry, but I’m not gonna spend my hard earned money somewhere that has terrible customer service. There’s another store a block away called«Alice beauty supply», where the people aren’t rude and the prices are the same.

While not a huge store, New World is well-stocked and takes advantage of every inch of spare space. I was looking for the perfect wig for a cosplay outfit and found it here within 5 minutes. The only downside? You can’t open the packages or try on any of the wigs. The positive? The customer service experience and value of the items. I can’t tell you how many bad experiences I had in a matter of days at wig shops all around town. New World was the complete opposite. Thanks for an awesome experience! It’s a Korean family-run business and they were very friendly, even remembering us from being in there a couple of days before. They have tons of styles and wig brands along with extensions in a variety of colors, makeup and other beauty supply items. They even have colored contact lenses. I love that they have a table near the front with sale wigs. I found a fun blue and white wig for $ 15 and a friend bought two other wigs from this table, which were very natural-looking. They even have some human-hair wigs and lace front ones. Even still, the prices were very reasonable and everyone was nice. I just wish their policies weren’t so strict about trying on the items. They have a decent selection of wigs on display, but you’ll need to ask for assistance since many are out of reach. I guess because of the neighborhood, they don’t want to take any chances with theft. Even still, the staff doesn’t follow you around like you’re going to steal. They were helpful when they needed to be and backed off when we were debating our items. They even threw in a couple of free wig caps. I’ll definitely be back. It beats going to the overpriced wig stores on Hollywood boulevard for the quality customer service and friendliness. Oh, and there’s plenty of free parking! Plus, the Dollar Store next door is huge and has a lot of unique items. Plus, there’s a post office and grocery store in the same plaza, so I can run a lot of errands at once. Need your nails done? There’s a nail salon right there that my friend swears by. Nothing like one-stop-shopping, am I right?

Here’s one of my go to spots for wigs and hair supplies. When I’m in the area I usually stop in to see what they have available. A nice collection of full and half synthetic wigs. They are starting to sell more human and lace wigs. Very friendly staff and usually very reasonable prices. Lots of parking which I love… easy to get in and out. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice assortment of wig styles and brands.
