Came here to watch the NBA finals based on the rave reviews on the happy hour. Once we arrived, we noticed that happy hour wasn’t available and we could only order off of a «NBA finals» menu. The menu consisted of overpriced combos and was very limited. Prices were meh and food was about the same. I will say though, the service was great but I doubt I will be coming back here for any future sporting events.

Food is all amazing here… especially their sam gyup sal… their boo dae jjigae… french fries… You can also play beer pong. They have a great beer selection. The owner is super friendly and the server, hanna is the sweetest ever. Thank you MMJ!

I came here alone around 9pm this valentines day. This bar/restauranthave only 5 customers when i came(the place is big but there are few people). The attentant is good. She serves me well. The ambience in the bar/restaurant is good. Lighting is quite dim but its ok, not too dark. I ordered(kimchi fried rice), mozella sticks,(coke),(lemonade) and(soju). I love their(kimchi fried rice), little spicy and sooo kimchi-ish but i didnt like the saltiness on some area, but i just mixed it to distribute the saltiness on it. But overall, i love it! Mozella sticks seems to be ok. It has celery and carrots on sides. for the? I always pick(Jinro Soju), it never fail to satisfy me. 10⁄10 always.

We had so much food here. I would say their best dishes were the spicy pork and the fried calamari. The spicy pork was a tad too sweet but it was at a good level of spice and I liked how the onions still had a bit of crunch to them. They were so good with a nice bowl of rice. The fried calamari was HUGE but it was very good. The calamari was nice and soft and coated in a nice crunchy batter. The kimchi pasta was too creamy and thick. The servers were also very nice and treated us well. There is good parking and it’s very spacious. I would come again.

I absolutely loved this place! From the pictures on Unilocal it looked like a dingy dirty little hole in the wall. Not. At. All. It was decent sized and clean. Happy is great from 4:40 — 8:30. They open at 4:30pm and close at 2am. My wife and I ate off the happy hour menu. We had the Carne Asada fries. Really good just not enough meat of course. The Korean chicken wings were not very good. Just fried chicken wings with the hot and spicy sauce(that I can find at any korean store) on the side. Also had the Kimchi fried rice. Definitely our favorite. It has a fried egg on top. The rice has a great flavor to it with just a little kick.

Came here with a friend around midnight on a Friday and place wasn’t super busy. This place is right across from pipers and has a sports bar environment. They have a deal where you can get a pitcher of beer and one of the food dishes they have listed for around 28 dollars which isn’t bad. We ended up getting a pitcher of blue moon, and fried chicken and fries.
The only bad thing that happened here was it took them a while to bring our food. So while we were waiting they apologized and ended up giving us free nachos and cheese dip which is polite of them. Overall, I had a good time with my friend and the service was friendly. Food and drinks were decently priced. I’m willing to come here again.

Love the servers here! Draft beers are always good here except when they are out of some brands. But hey, great atmosphere with good people. Can’t go wrong with it

Great local sports bar to come and watch a game or a fight and they have happy hour. Free parking in lot behind. For the big events, they sometimes have a minimum per head. Docked 1 star because it took over 30 minutes for me to get 5 chicken wings. Other times, service is pretty good.

Chill drinking spot that I discovered. Cool place to watch sports and eat good food. They also have a section to play beer pong! I don’t think I’ve been to any drinking spot in K-Town like this before. It’s a really big place so it is perfect to accommodate large parties. Large flat screen TVs surround the place so you can watch the game sitting at any table.(Unfortunately, they don’t show UFC fights, well at least the time that I called once). They also have happy hour so I might come back during that time for better priced stuff. Regular prices aren’t too bad either. Food is super good and they have all the best kinds of food that pair perfectly with a nice cold brew. My friends and I ordered and tried a whole bunch, all of which were bomb dot com and they gave such huge portions(see pics)!! Service is really good. Staff was pretty attentive and came around often to check on my friends and I. Private parking lot in the back. TIP: It might be hard to find this place as I don’t think they have a sign outside that shows«MOKMARUJONGSULJIP» rather it may just say«SULJIP» only. Right next to Piper’s!

Previous review was a mistake for a different pub. But i’ve been to this place and can’t delete my review so I’ll update it instead! I literally live couple blocks away from this place so I usually walk it when I have a gathering over here. The reason I give it a 5 star was due to my horrible experience at another bar and therefor it made me appreciate the little things here; kindness of the waitresses, selection of beer, and quality of food. Everything is on point compared to other bars and I will definitely keep coming back.

An underrated Korean sports bar in K-Town with tons of TV’s and a great ambiance… I’d still say that Bar Bleu is probably my favorite spot in terms of food but you can’t get around the amt of TV’s and how it’s Laker town here… I would definitely come back in the future. Get their Kim-Chi Pasta. It’s BOMB-DIGGITY. Thanks to JY for introducing this place to me. JY.

I love that there is a sports bar like this in K-town. There are a ton of tv’s showing multiple games, and pretty cheap happy hour deals. I wanna say like $ 3 draft beers and $ 5 food items(mostly good standard Korean fare like dukkbokki, fried rice, etc). Plenty of seating and space so that don’t have to be squished right next to another table of people. I wish they had a better beer selection aside from hite, blue moon, Budweiser, etc. I wouldn’t even mind paying more for Stone, Goose Island, Racer 5 or any other brews with more substance. Another problem that I hope was just a one time fluke was last time I ordered their Fat Tire it seemed watered down. It’s a fairly common beer, so I know what it tastes like. Maybe that tap was weird that day, and I really like coming to this bar, but if watered down beer is going to be the norm I will not be returning. However, aside from that it’s a great easy meet up spot with lots of free parking in a private lot. There really is a shortage of decent sports bars in kTown.

I have nothing but good things to say about MMJ :) I love coming here because not only is it really close to where I live but the owner James, truly makes everyone who drops by here feel like family. Whenever me and a group of my friends come here, James always makes sure to drop by and say hello to everyone and maybe even take a shot with us. The service is excellent and the staff are friendly in describing the different drinks they have on their menu. They also serve a bunch of food that is perfect to eat while drinking. MMJ is a sports bar and as soon as you walk in, you will know which team(s) it’s reppin lol(Lakers and Dodgers ftw). On game days, this place can get packed so plan accordingly and call ahead to reserve a table! It’s really cool because James will pull out the grill on bigger game days(such as the NBA finals) and have a special game day menu(BBQ ribs mmmm). They have a good happy hour(aka crappy hour) menu and their prices are fair. Not much different than what you’d see at other bars here in Koreatown. Give MMJ a try!

Top 5 bar in all of Ktown, also my favorite place to watch a dodger game in LA aside from dodger stadium. Excellent choice of draft beer and soju at excellent prices. Amazing happy hour prices on drinks and food. Aside from the vast selection of affordably priced beverages the food is unreal. The only place in know of where I can order korean poached pigs feet with a side of carne asada fries and pitcher of hite. :) Amazing service, friendly atmosphere, and FREEPARKING… yes FREEPARKINGINKTOWN.

This place is an extension of Piper’s. They have plenty of television screens with Time Warner Cable so they have all the Los Angeles teams you want or need. Everywhere you look there’s a high def screen in your face. It’s a great sports bar vibe with a mature crowd and Los Angeles team adornments everywhere you look! I go for the Dodgers games. They have a variety of beer selections on tap and a full service bar. They have pitchers of beer as well, at an affordable price, they put an ice pouch it it to keep your beer cold! The food is quite good, Mok has it’s own menu that consists mainly of finger food, fried rice and stir fry. They have squid stir fry with carrots and squash cut into strips in a delicious oyster sauce. Chicken Wings, Korean style, which to me weren’t all that great. they were not fried in a sauce and have slight seasoning on them. Too oily for my taste. Kimchi fried rice was excellent and spicy fried rice that satisfied. They have mozzarella sticks, carne asada fries that are topped with guac and sour cream with Jalapeño peppers. The fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned well. Sweet potato fries are also on the Menu. I smelled buffalo sauce on another order of fries at our table so I know they have that. Overall the food is great. You can even request a Piper’s menu that has spaghetti and burgers if you wish. Non happy hour prices range from $ 10 to $ 25 for a plate… a little pricey. Their service is where they lack. The couple next to us came in a little after we did and sat there way after we got our pitchers of beer and appetizers without so much as being offered menus or drinks. We were sitting at the same big table for crying out loud. I had to flag down several servers to get THEM any service. I had to ask for napkins several times before the waitress rudely threw a stack on our table(assuming they were for the entire table?) with an attitude as if the request bothered her. Service is pretty bad, needless to say. + 6 dollar plates and $ 3.50 for a pint during Happy Hour, just don’t expect happy hour when the Korean pitcher Ryu is starting, this baffled me. Ends at 8:30 pm. +Great selection of beers on tap and plenty available in pitchers, as well as a full service bar. +They have Dodgers, Lakers and Kings on PLENTY of HD screens! + NOMORESMOKERS! +Private parking, Clean Restrooms located next door at Piper’s. — Decent to bad service, seriously. — The owner made a sex on the beach with no cranberry juice, then claimed it had cranberry juice in it. The drink was YELLOW, not pink or red. He said their cranberry juice is really light colored red. Wow.

Chain smoking bars are an anomaly in Los Angeles… but not in Koreatown. Darn! I forgot to reference K-Town in it’s hip form. This is actually a sports bar that has a good selection of tap beer and good Korean drunkard food. Cigarette smokers will thrive here however non-smokers will acquire horrible headaches and maybe AIDS(see notes below). Cigar smokers are not welcome inside because the stench overpowers the entire joint, believe me I got scolded when I broke a Padron out and lit it up. They show live UFC, PPV and live local home teams. There are so many flat screen televisions crammed into this place that you can sit in a corner somewhere and request your favorite out of market team also. I don’t smoke cigarettes so I prefer to come in before 6pm because that’s when all the«Chainese» arrive… because their chain smokers? Notes: Drunk Asian Men stagger out of this place and walk over next door to Kona Care the massage parlor front for whoremongers. Egg rolls dipped in you guessed it… whiskey.

I’m surprised I haven’t reviewed this place… I live about 2 blocks away from here and have been here more than a few times. This is a Sports bar and it’s a Lakers bar so if you’re cheering for the other team, please do so quietly. Haha, they have a huge banner in the middle of the bar that says something like this, so immediately this place gets an extra star. This place is a great place to watch any sporting event, whether it’s the NBA finals, NFL sunday, UFC, MLB, hell, even Nascar if you’re into that… If there is an LA team playing, you best believe it’ll be on a majority of the screens. There is a pretty decent beer selection with pitcher options, they have a full bar and combo options(bottle of whiskey + food), and all the food is decent to great. Not too pricey, and a decent happy hour. It’s a great place to go if you have a large group or if you don’t want to deal with a ton of people as it really doesn’t get that busy even on friday or saturday nights.(Unless there is a special event like a fight or something) Also, they have a table where you can play beer pong. No extra charge, just buy a pitcher of beer. Service is good if it’s not too busy since they usually only have 2 people working but they are nice and try to accommodate your group. They are also pretty responsive if you ring your table bell thing.

Drinks: only limited to beer from my experience. I didn’t really eat there. Service: service here was okay. Only 2 servers. Overall: this spot is pretty chill with a beer pong table. It’s nice that it isn’t packed on that Saturday night I went.
