Mikes’s Plaza Cleaner

Been getting things cleaned and altered here quite a while and the bad has definitely outweighed the good at this points. Wrong alterations, clothes not fully clean, missing pieces with no explanation. Pretty over it. Lost customer. Will be looking elsewhere at this point. The 2 stars were for the things they did right.

I gave one star only because I have to in order to write a review! Beware! This guy, Mike Lalezari, is a thief, a liar, a chauvinist, disrespectful, and a horrible businessman! Be very careful if you choose to take your business here. I suspect the good reviews written on this business are written by family and friends because he truly is horrible! He CUT the legs OFF my sons pants and refused to give me a refund! He fought me over $ 14! Ridiculous! The pants are destroyed! His poor employees too! He obviously doesn’t respect them even. After HE made a mistake and destroyed my sons pants, he yelled at me, insulted me, and followed my son and me out to my car! He was gender descriminitive and verbally and physically threatening! After following us to the car, he started taking pictures with his phone. Really?! Just pathetic. The MOST pathetic part of all this though? He’s not even the owner! His son, Daniel is! The store is just named after his daddy, who is going to run that place into the ground. I wrote Maggie Lale (Lalezari) whom the business is listed under, explaining my situation and she never responded. Leads me to believe this whole family is a piece of work. If not for the family and friends of Mike, the business would have gone under years ago! Daniel Lalezari owns another Plaza Cleaners in Granada Hills and Maggie Lalezari, I believe, is a realtor, so they are probably making enough money to not care if Mikey destroys the business. So BEWARE! Do business at Mike’s Plaza Cleaners, AKA, Porter Plaza Cleaners, and Plaza Cleaners in Granada Hills at your own risk!

The owner of this establishment is without doubt the most unethical, arrogant businessperson I have ever met. We have been dealing with this dry-​cleaner for quite some time and have continued to do so even after his seamstress warned us about him. She left his place of business because of how he treats people, whether employees or customers. Last week my Wife took a fur throw into his store and was quoted $ 27 for dry-​cleaning. My Wife then presented a 40% off coupon the HE published in a local mailer. It was his own coupon. Today I went in to pick the item up and was told it was $ 19.60. That’s not 40% off. I don’t know where he learned math but at any rate I called his store. I began with hello, how are you? He immediately raised his voice and said «I am not interested!». I said, «WAIT…I’m a customer» to which he responded «I get calls all day from advertising… what do you want?»
I explained the mistake and he started to tap-​dance telling me there are different coupons. I told him my Wife gave him a 40% coupon when she dropped the item off. He then became very agitated and started to increase the volume while I continuously asked him to listen to what I had to say. He finished his lecture… told me he had a customer and hung-​up.
At this point I knew that even if his services were free I would never go back to his store. Then, my phone rang… it was him… he continued where he left off… ranting and raving… telling me to come by and pick up the difference he overcharged me… then continued to rant and rave and then said… I have a customer and hung-​up again. Again, I never got a word in edge-​wise.
By the way… as I walked out of his store I noticed something else my Wife alerted me to: There is a sign on the front window of his store proclaiming «WE ACCEPT ALL OTHER DRY CLEANER’S COUPONS» at our minimum prices. Looks good, huh? Walk inside and find out the he really DOES accept their coupons he just doesn’t match the percentages off other dry-​cleaners offer!

Awesome service ! Quick turn around time and professional. Mike did a great job on all our alterations. Will be back !

great and very friendly staffs, and excellent job on dry cleaning — shirts laundry. alteration lady is amazing, did a very nice job in couple days on my wife WEDDING DRESS. I wiil definitely recommend this cleaners.

Quick service, dropped off a balistics vest to get cleaned (because I’m messy as a pig and drop food all over myself) and 2 days later it was clean and smelt great!
$ 6.75 for a «fancy vest» clean, decent price. Beats doing it myself!

This is the WORST cleaners ever! Took 2 shirts there and they got caught in a machine. Completely shredded the outside of the collars and the owner would not take ANY responsibility. RUINED. I even took the shirts to two other local cleaners who confirmed they had gotten caught in a machine. Shame on him!
