I found this service in the group Inspired Women of Los Angeles. I was seeking a new acupuncture practitioner after my regular(Penny Weinraub, amazing) went out of network in the new year with Cigna. I emailed Stacy asking if she was in network with Cigna, she said she was. I proceeded to have two rather uncomfortable sessions with her, one where I laid down on the table at 9:20am and was not let off until 11:45am. When she left, she said«I’ll be back in 20 minutes,» while I laid uncomfortably with no way to alert her of my pain, nor was I checked on(Penny has a buzzer you can push if you need help.) I was so uncomfortable and upset by the experience, I did not return. I chalked it up to a bad personality match and went on with my life. I hoped to never see her again. Stacy then came after me saying that I was out-of-network and tried to bill me $ 85 for each session. We went back and forth and confirmed that I was covered, but actually she was NOT in network with Cigna. It seemed to be an honest mistake, that she really didn’t know she wasn’t in network. I have emails where she says to her biller, «I misled her, I cannot charge her for the services,» and I left it at that. I paid my Cigna co-pay, she accepted she told me she was in network when she was not. Everyone should have moved on with their lives. Only today I got another invoice requesting the $ 85×2. Stacy is now telling me, even though she had told me point-blank she was in network, it is my responsibility to pay despite receiving treatment under false pretenses. She told me I had an anger problem for repeating the information I have relayed here. I think my «anger» is logical and justified. Stacy is very confrontational, and also not accepting her poor business practices(not knowing her network affiliations) and trying to push the blame onto the victim who acted with her in good fatih. Which you’ll learn if you ignore me and use her. The only thing she can say about telling me she was in-network when she wasn’t was«you signed the paperwork, so you have to pay.» That’s not very … I don’t know … inspired. Or good karma. I cried before my second session because she was so tone deaf to my issues and was pushing me, which she didn’t acknowledge at the time, another part of why I didn’t return(but didn’t Unilocal then, because sometimes people are just bad matches.) Like really, I couldn’t run away fast enough. To have this follow me and want me to pay MORE for the experience is just the humiliating cherry on top. I have two email chains from Stacy at Mend saying she was in network(when she was not) and that she wouldn’t charge me(which she is now threatening collections.) It might just be me, but I find this unethical. And if she wins on a legal technicality and I do have to pay? Because I was misled to «sign the paperwork?» believing fully I was in-network, as she said? I’d still be concerned if I were you by a doctor who is so petty, and easily abuses her word. She is essentially blaming a patient for believing her. Your choice, Unilocal.I’m just telling you my honest experience. Good luck, and may it just be my overwhelming bad luck to have crossed paths with Mend Acupuncture.

Stacy is so wonderful! She is so kind and caring and extremely knowledgeable. I had a horrible migraine and she cured it instantly. I always leave her office feeling so balanced, calm and supported.

Looking for the best acupuncturist in Los Angeles? You’ve come to the right place. If I could give 6 stars I would. The Los Feliz location is super convenient and it has a great atmosphere.

Dr. Kon is fantastic. I had awful neck pain from lifting a patient. I tried medication, chiropractors, meditation, and nothing helped with the pain, like going to Dr. Kon. Highly recommend!
