Melody Motel

I had a friend refer me to this place because of its central location & they gave me a good weekly rate. When I checked in I paid them cash up front w/​o a receipt. I was assigned a room that had a cockroach in the tub and pee so thick in the toilet it looked like yellowy brown gravy. Very nasty. I asked for another room & this one was actually worse, even though it wasn’t obvious at 1^st. I was late for an event & left in a hurry, when I came back at 3am, with some clean sheets loaned by a friend. we inspected it together.
Cigarette butts on the floor,
burn marks on AC & bedside tbl
ants in bathroom
patched holes in walls
hole in bathroom door accompanied by blood splatter
As we took the old sheets off, a huge blood stain with a cigarette burn was found, along with other stains etc…
My friend wouldn’t let me sleep there & I didn’t want to wake up the manager, so I left and came back @ 6.30am, I figured asking for a cash refund that I didn’t have a receipt for wouldn’t go well if I was to wake him up. Luckily they gave me back $ 200 of my $ 250… I was just glad to get something back, although if I had mentioned that I took photos & video of all the damage & told them I’d call health dept, they probably would have given me a full refund… but I was just glad to get out of there alive… looked like someone had been murdered in there!
Aside from the filth in the motel, the gangsta’s and hookers on the street don’t make for a safe neighborhood either. Ick!
