I started seeing Dr. Melmed a few months ago because another doctor suspected I had Crohn’s Disease. In the office, i was a little intimidated by Dr. However, when I had to have a colonoscopy and endoscopy, he was fantastic. Great bedside manner and totally willing to answer all my questions. Cedar Sinai is a fabulous hospital as well. I was in at 6 and out by 9. As far as Crohn’s … he is the doctor to see!!!

I love Dr. Melmed. He and Dr. Herman worked together on my case to help get me into remission from UC. I had a terrible severe case and struggled for 18 months to reach remission. Dr. Melmed was great in helping with the process. He was welcoming and suggested real options for me and never tried to sugar coat side effects etc. He takes the time to get to know his patients on a personal level and really listens to what patients have to say about their condition. If you need a Dr in the IBD center at Cedars Sinai I definitely recommend you get in with him.
