Extremely rude all the time. — in my experience. Calling innocent customers a bitch. lol I saw the owner threatening an innocent customer saying he will kill him if he doesn’t get out of his store today. I was there and saw everything. The customer got his change back, but the owner threw them on the counter. So the customer kindly asked him to give them in the hand. Suddenly, the owner started yelling at the customer saying«get out of my property, you son of a bitch.» I feel so bad for that customer. He didn’t do anything offensive. In fact, he was just a regular innocent customer who just wanted to buy something. This scared me. I’m never coming back here.

Great little liquor store next to Nijiya Market. I came here today to buy lotto tickets after picking up my lunch at the nearby market. I found the owner very pleasant and helpful. It is a small shop, but prices seemed low and there is plenty of free parking in the shared common lot, which is rare in WestLA. Thank you Max Liquor and thank you for the special luck you cast my way upon my purchase.

ORIONBIRU… I figured there had to be SOMEWHERE in LA where I could find it! So I searched for it at Mitsuwa… and Nijiya… No such luck… Until! Lo and behold, there it was sitting next to Asahi and Sapporo in the fridge of the local liquor store in the Sawtelle strip mall. Max Liquors, you rock! If you have ever lived on, visited, or heard(a lot) about the southernmost Japanese islands known as Okinawa, odds are you experience nostalgia, historical memory, and/or craving for hot humid island culture and American-inspired Japanese draft beer every once in a while. Come here for your fix!!! **Unfamiliar with Orion? Check out this commercial: . And just don’t pronounce it the same way you would the famous constellation of stars it’s named after, since that’ll make you a total gaijin. Honto ni: P**
