When you were little did you ever find yourself in Grandma and Grandpa’s kitchen on a lazy summer afternoon? The lights are dim, all the windows are open so there’s a little breeze blowing through. It’s quiet and calm and Grandma offered to make you a couple tostadas de camaron. No? Yeah well, I don’t think my Grandma ever heard of tostadas de camaron but all the rest felt like I’d stepped back in time. The food was great, the environment was a time warp and the service was minimal enough that it didn’t interrupt the illusion. If only they’d had some aguas frescas!
