This is a great local business, I go out of my way to shop here. Mario’s has a huge variety of beers, wines and liquors, groceries, conveniences and lottery tickets. The store is very clean, beverages are very cold, the staff is very friendly and they appreciate your business. Best of all, the prices are reasonable for a quick stop shopping experience. It is always pleasure to chat with the owner, Joe who always makes customers feel welcome at his shop.

We came here on the recommendation of our bartender. The craft beer selection was really great, so we were stoked. Upon arriving home we cracked open a «new» wet hop beer. The guy said it should be fresh because he just got it only two weeks ago.
Well the beer was terrible, and it was from a brewery we like. Why I fault this place for it? My friend who is a massive beer snob said the taste seemed to be off from heat. This means that yea the beer is «fresh» and only «two weeks old» but it was left in a warm place. Come on. You ruined a great beer.
Last time I listent to a bartender.

Everyone has their local liquor stores, some shady some out of convenience so this is mine cause it’s around the corner from my house.
It’s got everything you need for a one stop shop and most times beer specials are pretty good just keep an open mind to try something new and you will get surprised. Ya they’re not as cheap as the shopping market one block down but who wants to deal with someone with coupons and long lines when you gotta get your party on.
The owner is a cool dude and you’re in and out in a flash… His Lotto is as fast as quick draw.

For a small market in HP, not a bad selection of beers at reasonable prices… 750 mL of Chimay Blue $ 10.99, 750 of Unibroue La Fin Du Monde on sale for $ 6.99, and a 6pack of Hoegaarden $ 8.50… wouldn’t necessarily frequent the spot, but may cruise by every now and then.

Since this place reopened a few years ago with new owners, its nice, brightly lit, and clean.
The owners are cool, I come here often to grab an Arizona sweet tea, chat up the owner and be on my way.
This place is even A/C’ed during the summer!

What an awesome little shop! Really great selection of beer and wine at this market. Not to mention great prices on liquor as well! Very clean store for the locale and looks like over half a million dollars in lottery scratchers have been paid out in the last year! they’ll even take a polariod of you if you win! how cool is that?
