Make Up By Ady

Ady did the makeup for my wedding (bride, bridesmaid and mom of bride and groom). We were all thrilled with the results. I felt so confident every time I caught my reflection, and in photos everyone’s faces look natural and expressive. Ady is very talented as a makeup artist – she seemed to quickly gauge each person’s style without a lot of explanation, but besides that she’s extremely efficient, upbeat and also very calming to a stressed and rushed bride. Her services were also an excellent value.

I’ve worked in the TV industry for over a decade from daily shows to live sporting events to documentary filming and have never met a more creative, fun, down-​to-​earth and talented makeup professional. Ady is inspiring because she has creativity coming out her pores and has a smile and professionalism that makes you want her just in your life more often. She is without a doubt my first choice and go to person when it comes to makeup.
We first worked together on a photo shoot for a women’s action sports hub called MAHFIA. TV in 2009. Skateboarders never looked more naturally beautiful. A few years later I had a domestically beaten client who was asked by the local NBC network to tell her story and Ady made feel whole and beautiful again. In 2014, my agency YUNEXIS started offering head shots and Ady was able to transform my clients quickly while keeping them fully comfortable.
Last month I was shooting a mini-​doc up in Fresno and didn’t realize that all the men were bald! 911 Ady picked up my call and walked me through what I needed to deshine the talent, not rocket science but for us — it was a life saver. It made a world of a difference to the DP.
I had my makeup done by her this year for a photoshoot and it’s so funny of after minutes and minutes of touching, brushing, etc you look into the mirror and it’s as if nothing had happened! I was going for a super natural look versus the bold looks I have seen her do, stereotypical of a MAC artist. You just think with all that stuff seemingly caked on you you’re going to look like a clown but it was absolutely the opposite. I looked better than in real life.
Ady is sophisticated and professional. She goes above and beyond, and keeps a very authentic, compassionate, genuine, and optimistic outlook. I know my projects are small potatoes compared to the big clients and photo shoots she does so I’m just grateful and honored that she make time and is fully present for my projects.
