Los Angeles Bass Works saved me!
I drove with my bass from San Francisco to L.A. to play with some friends and on the way dislodged my soundpost. A call to Los Angeles Bass Works and about an hour later I was back in business.
Price was great. Service was great. And after making a new post and installing it properly my bass sounds better than ever.
Since there was time they gave my bridge some much needed attention. I have a whole new bass now.

Lisa Gass rules. She runs this nice double bass shop right smack in the middle of town. She has taken care of my bass and made the adjustments most of the time I have been in LA.
As a professional bassist it is important to have somebody you trust with your livelihood. I can call her and just bring the bass over for an adjustment. She is also the only person that has ever gotten the adjustments right on my bass in one try.
Her prices are also reasonable considering everything bass is ridiculously expensive.
