One of The best hookah in LA. Very friendly staff!!! Would definitely recommend this place!!!

On arriving, I was made to wait more than 10 mins just for getting a table for me only (1 person) and then the manager comes out and tells me that he can give me a small side table and the minimum charge would be $ 100. I hate such commercial behavior and with this attitude I will never go there again. Very disappointed.

I would give them 0 stars but that’s not option. They would not let me enter with me service dog. I have been to many hookah lounges in LA in southern California and have not been treated with this kind of service. They are horrible would not recommend this place to my enemy.

It’s good place to spend your time with your friends.
the food it’s so delicious here specially Humos with beef is the best.

At first we order (tab water) and they brought us bottled water and we were told it’s 4 something for one bottle of water. When we asked for the TAB WATER again, they told us they don’t serve tan water and btw I came here the day before and they served us the tab water. When we asked why is that, the waiter told us the (manager) told them to not serve ARABS tab water, but it’s ok if the costumer was American.
Another thing was when we went to pay they told us that they just take cash, and there was an ATM machine next to the cashier and it will charge you $ 1 fee for the owner.
However the previous day we paid with our cards and it wasn’t an issue. And the gratitude was included in my bill but not my girlfriend’s!
And I was told that if it was a group of all guys there will be a minimum charge for each person.
Their hookah was good no doubt.
I wouldn’t recommend this place until they change the way they treat their costumers!

100 $ minimum charge for guys and owner is not welcome as well and 20 $ for a valet which is the restaurant door is smaller than my room door

Love the service. They know their customers and very friendly. Raheef the manager very professional, and the staff Yousef, Magid, Hussain, Ali, Majdi and specially Mera are always ready to help with positive attitude. Great place

These guys have upped their game, service is always great, food taste pretty awesome and if you want the Middle Eastern Emirates feel in sunny California, Liwan is your place. Hookah is made well here, hostesses are always asking how are you doing and the waitstaff is quite friendly (try to look and be friendly as well and you will get the same. Plays out well anywhere you go.) they have a pretty good menu, a live 2 man band on weekends and attracts pretty girls w a car show as you walk in (gotta love that). Now here’s the disclaimer, when you see high priced cars parked outside, there is a likelihood that the price of tables go up in prime real estate. Why, you ask? Well I can’t explain it, you will figure it out as you observe, sitting inside looking out. Now I am not saying service is less if you sit inside, that’s just the system. It’s like getting bottle service at a club, except you get an enormous Spread of food and drinks for the cost of that table because that’s the cultural way of eating in the Middle East.
If you frequent hookah establishments, don’t want to drink, would like a huge spread of food, be treated well by the staff and exchange gazes with attractive middle eastern women with the hope of conversing (get your Arabic on point guys) then Liwan is your place.

Absolutely amazed with my first visit here! Beautiful ambiance, loved the decorations & the fireplaces around the seats! Our waitress, Mira was beyond amazing with exceptionally friendly service. Will definitely be back!

This place charges excessively and the only reason is that they get a lot of rich Saudi students with deep pockets.
Hooka-​wise it’s not so good. The food is mediocre not bad after 1 am and all the good restaurants are closed. $ 100 min per person to sit outside and $ 50 min inside. Basically won’t go back there again because last time I went they told us we had 30 min before they closed and we’re gonna still charge us $ 50 per person minimum which was ridiculous since they were closing soon. Avoid this place like the plague!

Worce place for hooka it’s very expensive and they dont give a shit about customer I dont recommened it at all. They bring so much girls on the front of the door to make guys get interesting to pay minimum charge which’s around $ 100 for hooka it’s not worth it at all and if u stay inside with $ 50 minimum charge in shitty and dirty couched … If you want to spend good times try something else… Minimum charge just for guys not for girls tho

Me and four of my friends were there last week.
It was 11pm so my friends decided to leave so we paid the pill 217 $ but I decided to stay for a little pit so I can finish my hookah.
At 11:45 they told the minimum charge for the table is 200 $ after 12am so either pay it or leave !!
The were to rude.

75 $ cover charge ! For what ?! To spend more than 200 $ on food and other stuff, are these people crazy? What is going on !?

The hookah, food, service quality were great. So why I’m giving these guys only 3 stars?
Well, the first thing coming in was they told us it’s 50 $ minimum charge per person. I thought that’s excessive, especially that prices are on the higher side.
The second thing there isn’t enough parking around, and the valet charges around 10 $.
The last two things were that they charged me 3 $ to process my credit card!
And gratuity was included «not suggested» at 10%. But hands down the staff is amazing.

4 of my friends and i decided to check this new establishment out. We use to come here when it was under the previous owner and enjoyed our times here but it has been a couple of years since we came and boy, were we surprised.
Most of the waiters and our host seemed like high school kids. the sofas were ripped and tacky except this glowing red sofa which was in front of the entrance and it was glowing compared to the others. When we asked to seat there, we were told the cover fee was $ 1500.
We didn’t know whether to laugh or leave. Service was poor and even somewhat, intimidating.
He later pointed out that the sofas in the other sections were $ 75 per person cover charge and the wooden chairs were free. Very unprofessional and very odd. Definitely not a place where you would wanna take your friends if you have any self respect. Never going back.

I came here on a Thursday night, not so crowded. They have a few parking spot & valet and there is the street parking.
The patio is nice & pretty big, and the inside area is OK.
The service was very poor. Although, it wasn’t busy, servers weren’t responsive (nice and polite, but very slow).
They mixed up orders and delivered food & drinks late.
However, the hookah was the best. Jessi prepared our hookah, and he was checking it frequently. He was the best staff there who really wanted to be sure that we were happy with the hookah and his service.
The food wasn’t good at all.

I came here with a group of friends. I cannot explain how awful the service is. I was very disappointed.
I asked the server «what happened to my food» after 45 minutes. After 45 minutes I told the server to cancel my order
The server came after 1 hour and 30 minutes with food
The tea was served after 30 minutes.
The bathroom door was stuck and didn’t close or open
The only thing that was good it was the hookah served by Jessi. He was the only one that checked on us often.
This place needs a lot of improvement and I hope that happens soon before they lose more customers.

This place was nice when they first opened and we used to be regular customers but after they changed their staff, it kept getting worse and worse. We went there last friday and the place was almost empty.
We asked the hostess for a table for 5 and she was nice to us until the owner came by. I was shocked when he told us about their new policy of a minimum charge of 100 $ per person for their outdoor tables, which is ridiculous. we left the place and went to have dinner at the blvd restaurant, which cost us around 200 $ for the 4 main dishes that we shared. We then went to a decent place for hookah and paid 95 $ for the 5 hookahs. We don’t mind paying if its for some thing that is worth it but 500 $ for al LIWAN in one night is just disgusting… I would rather spend that money for a night at the four seasons.

If i could give this place ZERO stars i would, i went with my friends today and when we asked for the bill they charged us 48 $ for «sauce» ! I have no idea what magical sauce which i have not ordered in the first place would cost 48 $!!! And i went and talked them about it but they did nothing!
Im never coming back to this place and so should you unless you want to be ripped of and charged for items you did not order
