Horrible service! Very slow waiters/waitresses and had to ask for what I wanted 2 – 3 times. Plus, there was a waitress there eating with her family and kid while«working». Her whole family there drinking buckets and customers outside waiting. Worst experience ever. Didn’t see a manager or else would have complained big time!

The food quality is fair, nothing special, it’s your typical Mexican restaurant. The East L. A location has the mean old lady waitress. She seems like she’s always mad as if I did something wrong? Lol

Food was great but the service was less then desirable. The waitress acted tired and irritable then tried to clean up her behavior with a free guacamole dip. It was nice but too late to change the impression.

I do really enjoy this place, this is like my moms cooking if we were celebrating someone’s birthday. I like the service here as they are rather nice and care to make someone happy. However I don’t like that a band shows up and starts playing music, that isn’t a big deal.

This is pretty much your mom’s cooking(if you’re Mexican). My fave dishes here are the taquitos and the steak fajitas. Oh and the molcajetes are huge, for at least two people. The waitresses and owners are always super attentive, they remember us every time we come and are super friendly. Their rice and beans are super authentic, and you have to try their micheladas. Weekends are always busy, but they have parking in the back and usually you don’t wait long. By far the best Mexican food restaurant in the area!

I wouldn’t recommend this place. The rice seemed from the day before. The michelada had no flavor. But what did it for me, was the disgusting restroom. I wouldn’t be able to use that restroom no matter how bad I had to go. Not even go wash my hands. Advise to this owner is to invest some money and fix the restroom. On the other hand, awesome waitress.

Horrible, horrible, horrible service!!! Never coming back here again. Food is mediocre I cook better rice than them. They served us the rice from the bottom of the pot, it was so hard. Waitress never came to ask how we were doing, or to give us more water. I had to get up and go get more chips on my own. Do not come here, go to el pescador.

Never going there again. We went a couple hours ago. Our waitress was rude, she kept judging us on what we were getting. She had a bad attitude & kept talking about how she was glad that her shift was almost over. I got Camarones Costa Azul. The bacon was raw om the inside and over cooked on the outside. One of them had a big ass hair in it. The potatoes wedged were dry. The meat in the quesadilla was dry as well. They only get 2 starts because the Ague de Melon was very good. Even then they still have me very little ice so it was kind of hot but still good.

We had a large group of about 20 and they squeezed us in! Not great parking, but we found a spot just down the street. Small, east LA vibe to the place. The food was fantastic, the prices were great and the service was friendly, quick and efficient. Just the type of hole in the wall Mexican place you are looking for. Nothing fancy, but high quality food for a good value.

Food was great. If you have a coupon, be sure to have a printed copy. They will not use your phone coupon

The molcajete Cielo, Mar y Tierra is top notch! Fajitas Mixtas and Camarones a la Plancha are also delicious. Portions are generous. Staff is friendly and very quick. Micheladas are among the best I’ve had. One of East LA’s hidden secrets!

Spontaneous try, pretty pleased that I did. So I guess my bfs been here before awhile back& said he remembered it being okay. First look, it didn’t really seem like anything special. Just a regular Mexican hole in the wall. The staff was very friendly which gave me a good feeling straight up. They were accommodating to what we wanted even tho it wasn’t listed that way and the food was delicious. I ordered a good sauce wet burrito with chicken, rice& pico de gallo. Pretty freaken delicious. The chicken was charred to perfection. My bf ordered a shrimp and fish taco meal. He was in love down to the rice which was seasoned to perfection. Definetly a nice Mexican restaurant.

I had a hard time deciding how many stars to rate because I’m split between the excellent food & terrible service. 1st visit — The food was excellent & brought out in good time. My husband & both teenagers loved it. However…the down side was the service. The service girls are not friendly & our server never checked back up on us. The place is small & not busy, so the fact we waited for almost 10 mins for her to acknowledge us & bring our check is poor service. 2nd visit — After a few months, decided to try this place again. Again, the food is excellent! And again, the service sucks! Had a different girl serving us — poor attitude as if she didn’t want to be there. Never came by to refill our drinks, we had to wave her down if we needed a refill & it seemed like we were bothering her. If you’re not in a hurry, love good good but don’t care about good service — then this place is for you.

This is a chain of restaurants on the eastside of town. This location is short on parking but it has a homey feeling to it. The food was okay but service was a little lacking at lunch time. I had menudo and it was decent. They make sure to put in a pork bone. It had a slight lime flavor but overall, it was good. Chips were fresh and warm and the salsa was good. Personally, I prefer the location further east on Whittier in Montebello.
