Lifshitz Aliza, MD

I can’t write enough positive words about Dr. Lifshitz. I have been her patient since 1991 when she emphatically stated that my thyroid should be removed. She was right. She has made the wisest decisions for my care over the years. She considers the whole physical well– being of the person, not just the area in which she specializes. However, if she feels that the medical need is beyond her area of expertise, she won’t hesitate to make a referral to a specialist. She adds a unique personal touch to every office visit encounter, including hugs for birthdays, realizing that each one is a milestone!

Feel very lucky to be treated by Dr. Lifshitz! She does really listen to patients and does her best to answer their questions and address their concerns.
Only drawback to being her patient is that she can be hard to see, but it is understandable because she is a gem.

Thanks to the two previous reviews of Dr. Lifshitz, I was able to find this doctor — and I can’t say enough about my great experience with her! Relatively new to Los Angeles, I hadn’t found an internal medicine doctor whom I trusted to have as «my» doctor — until I went to Dr. Lifshitz.
The doctor agreed to squeeze me in the same day I called even though I hadn’t been seen by her before. With my sore throat and cough, I believed that she would simply write a fast prescription for antibiotics and be on her way — and nothing was further from the truth!
Dr. Lifshitz gave me her time and care like no other doctor has. She asked a lot of questions and listened, and also took to heart the fact that I don’t wish to take antibiotics unless it is absolutely necessary. Clearly, she has respect for her patients and for the fact that every person is complex — Dr. Lifshitz looks for that which is not obvious rather than dashing off a prescription based on a lot of presumptions as many unfortunately do.
Dr. Lifshitz was very thorough in her exam, did a few tests and then made a plan for me including a prescription to use immediately and a prescription for antibiotics to fill only if my body doesn’t fight the bronchitis off without them — and the doctor gave explicit instructions to follow. The first item she prescribed worked immediately and my bronchitis cleared up right away — with no antibiotics!
Dr. Lifshitz is a caring, intelligent, deeply knowledgeable physician and a magnificent human being. I am thankful to the two previous Unilocal reviewers for enabling me to find Dr. Lifshitz, and I’m adding my review in gratitude.

Best Internist doctor I have ever had in my lifetime. Caring, careful, compassionate and quite knowledgeable in her field. Devotes her full attention in office visits. Wonderful Internist! Highly recommended!
