I found the Law Offices of Patricia DePew to be very helpful. I had been trying to get my passport for several years and the government kept denying me. Finally, I hired the Law Offices of Patricia DePew and they managed to get the government to read my application and re-​issue me my passport. I am very grateful as I am not a citizen of any other country and I was born in the United States. The Law Offices of Patricia DePew come highly recommended by me.

[*caveat*: I was raised by an attorney. I graduated law school. I am not easy to please when its comes to just any attorney’s legal work, and I certainly don’t refer clients, associates or friends to crap attorneys– for anything.]
My fiancé needed an adjustment of status. I surveyed the numerous filing options, deadlines, fees, the endless governmental red tape, then added in the What if I Make a Mistake factor. I multiplied this by the «Nobody Takes you Seriously Unless you have a Competent, CA Bar Licensed Attorney in Good Standing representing you» factor, and it equaled= Hire an Attorney.
I obtained three referrals, and after calling each attorneys office I met with two of them. I chose the Law Office of Patricia Depew based upon her competent, confident demonstration of specialized knowledge on our immigration issue, actual access to Attorney Depew (she met with me the next day after my initial call), her 20 years experience with Immigration Law, and the fact that it was her name that kept coming up when I asked other attorneys who they used when an immigration issued arose for their clients.
Depew told me what to expect in regards to reasonable timeframe for adjustment, what it was going to cost, and the odds of success. Six months later after paying exactly what she outlined the first meeting and succeeding in obtaining the adjustment, I give all five stars to this attorney and her staff.
Do yourself a favor if you have an immigration issue, and make the Law office of Patricia Depew one of the (at least two!) three attorneys you talk to before you choose someone for this specialized area of law.

I called her because I needed my husbands green card renewed expeditiously. She asked for $ 800 (and then only after I kept asking questions) and then told me she couldn’t do it any quicker than anyone else. Then she hung up on me. Her voice and personality was cranky, down and depressed. She was unfriendly. She was not straight forward with the information I was asking her for so she was not trustworthy. If I could give her no stars I would.
