Also ordered the plate with yuca and chicharon & they litterrally gave me like 4 pieces of it n it was super burn & it taste old! I’m only given 2 stars because customer service was good

Their Sopa de Res is worth 4 stars! Their service is slow and they need to update their drink system.

I came here with my girlfriend last week on a friday night. I always pass by this place but never tried it. My GF is salvadorian and she thought it was an okay place we usually go Los Molcajetes in East Los Angeles since it’s near my job and where she lives. It wasn’t that crowded when we visited there was a lot of servers, chill atmosphere, it’s completely different inside from outside. It’s reasonably priced. My only complaint would be the service, they forgot some of my order. I ordered extra food for take out before we finished our food, we waited and waited no one came over. We waited again thinking they were gonna drop off our to go food but nope. After about 10 mins i asked her if the food was ready and she said, «we were waiting in the front for you.» Idk i guess that’s how they do take outs. It was my first time but it wont be my last. I think i’ll try this place out one more time but for take out only. Cool spot in a rough neighborhood.

Service is terrible! I live around the area so I eat here often. The food is good but the bad service is beginning to outweigh the good. I hesitated to review this place because I am a regular customer but after today I doubt I’ll be one if they don’t fix their service soon. I use to dine in often but the food takes forever and the staff isn’t too friendly. I have to ask for something at least 3 times to get it and when it’s time to pay they never come back to pick up the check so you have to go wait in line to pay. I began to order take out since I do like the food, it’s close to home and my only problem was the service but it turns out it’s just as bad. I live 5 min away and every time I call in my order they say 20 – 25 min for it to be ready and ITSNEVERREADY! I tried taking longer to pick up my food so they can have it ready and they still have me waiting. Doesn’t matter what day it is or what time is it they never have your take out order ready. I think it’s ridiculous to wait 25 minutes for 5 pupusas only to arrive and wait an additional 20 minutes. I worked in different restaurants before and busy ones so I know how it is and let me tell you their service is unacceptable. I really want to keep coming here but enough is enough. If they don’t make changes soon they lost a client. If it wasn’t for their service I would give this place a 4 out 5.

In the mood for pupusas and I always pass this place on my way home so we decided to give it a try. Pretty good. Tried the queso con Loroco pupusa for the first time and it was good. Nice and thick with ooey gooey cheese. Also had a pan con gallina and it was really good. Platanos con crema made just right. Food is good overall. It is just the grouchy faced waitresses that kinda kill the vibe. They are not pleasant at all and can’t even give you a fake smile when you say thank you and please to them. Do they not know that tips are given according to their service? I would of left $ 0.50 but I plan to come back and don’t need them messing with my food. They also charge $ 1 for every card transaction. So I deducted that from their tip. :-)

This place is my new pupusas spot… move over Flor de izote and Praviana!!!(I really never liked Sonsonates pupusas.) Their carne asada plate was so so. The yuca frita was good but they refried the chicharrones so they were rock hard. I am giving this place a four solely because the pupusas are delicious. The curtido could be more flavorful but the salsa de tomate is tasty. The pupusa was a bit on the small side but I rather have a delicious one that a huge undercooked one! The empanadas are to die for!!! So yes come here for the pupusas and empanadas. Next time I’ll have the ensalada drink for sure since it looks so good and refreshing!

I have to say amazing… Had yuca frita with chicharones. My mom had the bell peppers with luenga with rice and bean and salad, my dad had some pastelitos con carne and I had salpicon with rice and beans and dalad delicious and amazing I love this place. And the prices are awesome. Who ever rated this place bad for the price is nuts taxes are high and yet ther prices are great for the food. This is one of the best salvadorian restaurants I have ever been at. Eeevvvvvveerrr… This is my new salvadorian restaurant. Love the owners and the employees u can tell it’s an amazing family owned restaurant. The ladies that serve are great and the foo came out fast on time…

I’ve came here about 3 times, all 3 times the food takes forever! The pupusas are delicious, but overpriced for the size they are. Now about the service– the ladies try to be as professional as they can but put a sour face to you! They tend to take a while to serve your food unless you’re a regular customer. And depending on who you are and what mood they’re in is how you will be treated, I wouldn’t come back. I am basing my review on all 3 times, and when they want to be nice and respectful they will be but on other occasions where they’re in a bad mood they will serve your food as slow as possible. And don’t listen to anyone, there are better pupusas around town.

I loved this place! I had Salvadorian food for the first time today and I had no idea what to expect. Honestly, I had no idea what to order. I recently moved here from Upstate New York and we do not have very many options when it comes to food. The staff was very friendly and helped me order. I’m all about trying everything twice and was a little skeptical at first since I didn’t know what I was about to receive. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I believe I had the Pupusas, Salada Juice(chopped fresh fruit drink), and something else but I have no idea what it was called(had chicken and veggies in it) Everything was fresh and tasted amazing! The restaurant was clean and their staff always smiled and made sure I was ok. I WILL be coming back and bringing friends along with me!

Great Pupusas! Very moist and flavorful filled with chicharron, cheese, and beans. Also had some fried yucca and chicharron as well, all the food here is great. Service was very good and server was polite. It does take a bit to get your food because the Pupusas are fresh and made to order. Great food and great prices. Can’t beat this place when it comes to ElSalvadorian food. –Good Eats Enjoy
