The service here is blatantly disrespectful. I went to the counter and asked what comes on the Flor Blanca #1 because I couldn’t see exactly what was on the plate from the picture hanging on the wall 4 feet above me. The employee at the register told me he didn’t know and to look back at the picture. I asked him if the person preparing the food knew what was going to be on the plate and he looked me in my eyes and said the cook doesn’t know either. I immediately left.

I have been to this restaurant plenty of times, including other flor Blanca restaurants and I was always satisfied. But this time it was the worse, I get there with my bf and friend and we only ordered 5 pupusas and beans with sour cream and chorizo with one order of tortillas. There was very few people and our order took over 40 mins. I got up To ask the waitress how much longer would our food take and the cook heard me ask and got the plates from the side and started yelling to the waitress to give me the damn pupusas then. So she took us pupusas that were cold, I asked the waitress if the pupusas had been sitting out and she said YES! Ok we decided to let it go and just eat. The beans took another 10 mins and then another 10 mins for 2 tortillas. Then out of no where I see there is water coming from the roof and falling directly in my plate. I told the waitress and she said she would check on that, she never came back or even try making an arrangement to switch tables she continued to serve other tables, walking passed ours avoiding the table and I was already angry since I’m paying for my food that happens to be getting wet from a leak problem in the restaurant, and her response to me was that she told someone already but they can’t fix that. How professional is that. Not even an arrangement to switch table. My bf had to get up and find a dirty cleaning towel to put where the water was leaking. It was a huge disappointment from beginning to end. I appreciate the man at the counter did apologize and got a discount, but it’s just unacceptable service.

I’ve been coming to this place for a long time now, I have yet to find a more delicious pupusa. Not only are the pupusas delicious, but the Sopa de Gallina is also a must have! Don’t forget to call in ahead of time to place your order.

I come here because it’s the closest place I know that sells pupusas. The pupuas are great but so oily! You get a spoonful of oil with every bite. I dab it with some napkins before eating it helps. I strongly recommend the horchata, it’s sweet & it washes down the oil from the pupusas. I really like this place especially because I was born in El Salvador and it’s at walking distance from my aunts, although she can make much better pupusas lol

Si eres mexicano y estás acostumbrado a unos buenos huevos estrellados, olvídalo. Yo pedí éste platillo y no me gusto nada. Parecían de plástico. Hay que decir que es comida salvadoreña, tal vez ellos lo califiquen mejor.

The food is horrible. There is a lot of places that are cheaper and better than here. The only thing I liked from my order was the hot chocolate. And the customer service was even worst than the food. I walked in and I seat down and I never got a menu. I had to go look for one. Than I asked for napkins and never got any. When I got up to get them myself the cook looked at me like I did something wrong or like I was stealing from them.

Food was delicious. Their servings are also good however their costumer service is bad. Also the wait was long! I was done with my drink by the time my food was served. In addition, the server was a little rude. She had a «careless» attitude and ignored my family and I like two times.

Come here to satisfy my Salvadorian food cravings near USC. Their pupusas and platanos are legit. One of my favorites is their empanadas platano. Also recommend their fruit salad drink if you want something fresh and fruity. They definitely try to live up to the title of «Orgullo de El Salvador».

My husband introduced me to this place, I’m Mexican and all I could say is that I may not be familiar with alot of salvidorian food, but this place has the best popusas I have ever had, a little greasy but delish, the agua de frutas is great, could use less sugar. So I tend to water it down. The popusas are big compared to other spots.

I was surprisingly pleased with the pupusas from this little underground restaurant. I never would have discovered this place if my roommate hadn’t brought me here on a whim, but the food is definitely authentic Salvadorian. Service is VERY slow here, which was a little frustrating considering there wasn’t anyone who had ordered before us. I tried the mixed pupusa(beans, cheese, and meat) and the fried plantains. The pupusa was decent(a little too oily for me), and went well with the provided salsa and pickled vegetables. The fried plantains had a very thick consistency, but were a unique and sweet ending to the meal. La Flor Blanca is an authentic pupuseria with very filling dishes for a low price.(Remember to bring cash!) If you’re a fan of pupusas, you should check it out; however, I personally would opt for a different type of food and a restaurant with better service.

The food there it’s worth the wait. I asure you that. =)

Horrible service! If I could give them less than 1 star I definitely would. Hubby and I decided to go one night for dinner. Place was completely empty, we were the only possible customers. First we weren’t greeted by the man at the cashier counter, which we chose to ignore and continue to take a seat and wait for a waiter/waitress to offer us some service. After almost 5 minutes of sitting and waiting around for service, my hubby decided to get up and ask the man at the counter if someone was going to take our order. In a very rude tone, the man responded, «If you need to order you need to get the menu yourself and when we’re ready we will take your order». Without a doubt, we got our things and left, no need to give my money to a business who obviously does not need it. Never again have we returned. That’s no way to treat any potential or in this case a frequent customer.

Los Angeles is all about those authentic, hole-in-the-wall restaurants, and this is certainly one of those. Hidden next to a 99-Cent Store and a Laundromat on Jefferson, this place has the best $ 3 pupusas I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating. The service is a little slow, but boy is it worth it. The pupusas are made fresh– you can watch the chefs beat the dough and cook the pupusas to perfection before your eyes. I usually order two, but I always leave with leftovers. All the dishes come with delicious sauces I recommend trying– some spicier than others. This place is a bargain and an authentic pupusa experience. DONTFORGET– CASHONLY!

La Flor Blanca Restaurant is so small! There is about 12 tables and they have a lot of customers, so sometimes you will have to wait to get a seat. The employees give you a menu so that you can see what you are going to order while you wait for a seat. When i finished ordering my food they took a really long time to bring the food. I arrived there at 1P.M. and i didn’t get my food till 1:32 P.M. I ordered a cheese and beans mix pupusa and it was really big and good. Since they only sell the pupusa by itself i ordered a small plate of rice on the side along with an horchata. I went with my family and we ordered 8 pupusas and 2 big horchata. It came to the total of 23 dollars. They have good prices for the amount and quality of the food. This restaurant is located on Jefferson Blvd. inside a little plaza. It is hard to find parking because it is packed! There are many other stores in this plaza and it does not have many parking spots. The employees are really polite and nice. They are always smiling and if you request something they will gladly bring it to you. Their kitchen is visible so you can see that they make everything from scratch with fresh ingredients. They are always on the move, hustling to get the food out to the customers. They also have carry out so you can order from your house and go pick up your food when its ready. This restaurant is good because they make fresh delicious food from scratch for a cheap price. I dislike that they take a really long time to bring your food. I also dislike that the place is so small. I think that’s one of the reasons why they don’t have many cooks and therefore take forever to make the food. If your on a budget this would be good place to order pupusas because they are cheap and big, i would say that about two will fill you up.

The Pupusas are by far the best in the area. I usually call and order for pick, the downs side is that they take 45 min to an 1 hour for your food to be ready. So just know if they tell you 25 min add 15 min to that time. But other than that there platano a Fritos are bomb. And the bean and cheese Pupusas are the best.

The pupusas here are excellent, and much larger than I expected for the price. Having read some other reviews, my brother and I expected to wait for our food, and it took about ten minutes before it was ready. That being said, I don’t think ten or fifteen minutes is a long time to wait for fresh, handmade food. The pupusas were delicious and filling. I had one pork and one mixed(beans, cheese, and pork) and they were both great. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean and laid back. I left my wallet(like the genius I am), and the guy who cleaned off the table chased us down two blocks away to return it. That really made my day. I’ll be eating at La Flor Blanca again, and recommending it to my friends.

Walked in. Attempted to order. Saw a sign I didn’t notice before that stated cash only. I asked, «Do you take credit cards?»(As I used a CC last time I was here.) I’m looked up and down and told, «Sorry buddy, we don’t.» As I walked out a couple stops me and says, «uhhh…we just used ours.» One of two things happened… Don’t take credit card… in that case, welcome to 2014… the land of POS. Or you thought the tie I was wearing wasn’t up to par. In that case… you suck. Either way, me and 100USC employees I buy food for… will never be back. Must not need the business on a Tuesday evening.

Called in an order, told me to pick them up in 25 min, an hour later and they’re still not ready… but this is always a problem with this place. Update: They were nice enough to give us a discount for our long wait.

Really good pupusas and platanos maduros plates! The pupusas and the curtido are really big, tasty and cheesy here. I got full with 1! We also shared a plate of rellenitos(empanadas) and platanos con frijoles(beans). Loved! Making a date to go back with my aunties again lol. FYI, it’s located in a small strip mall area by USC. Just in case you were wondering :)
