The tacos were great and we loved all the topping choices! I love it when a place focuses on doing one thing really really well and this is what they do. Super affordable too!

Pupusas con curtido — the best! This place is a small mom and pop Salvadorian restaurant that my friends say has been in LA for years. The food is excellent and the people are friendly. Definitely highly recommended by me.

Fresh & delicious food. Large portions. I had the pork chops. Excellent. I also had a plate of fried bananas with frijoles and Mexican sour cream. Most excellent. Reasonable prices & friendly service. A small place in a corner mall. Ambience isn’t much but who cares? Very good food.

Food is fresh and have big portions. The liver plate was tender and delicious and the chuletas de puerco were very good. They have hand made salvadorean style tortillas. This place is not expensive at all dont let Unilocal fool you. The corn tamale was a little dry but still good. They make the rice in small batches so it was very good as well just like my mom makes it.

OMG. The food at this place is the bomb! After a really long night of debauchery the only cure for me is a bowl of fresh menudo. My friend R. knew just where to take me. We took a good little drive to La Cocinita, a restaurant he said he and his family have been coming to for 15 years or more. The owner is Mexican and his wife is Salvadorian and let me tell you, they put it down at this hole in the wall. The tortillas are hand made to order. The food is fresh, authentic, delicious… I loved it. Its divey and fits the neighborhood, so don’t expect anything fancy, but they have an A in the window, excellent food and service with a smile so what else matters? This place is why LA has better Mexican food, than even Mexico. Just saying :-)
