They do hair nice. But with each visit that price goes up up up. They are in California not where ever they come from. Stupid gossip’s, other stylers hovering over you, nasty attuide yuck find somewhere else to go

I really enjoy getting my hair done within this salon. It is like a family reunion I have been going for over 11 or more years. I am always satified with my braids when I leave. Everybody employed with L.A. braidery braids very well.

. These women know what they doing. My daughter went in for dreadlocks and they did a great job. They have parking spaces in the shopping center located next door. I find that particularly convenient because there are plenty of fast food chains(which comes in handy if you’re going to be there for a long period Of time). The inside is not that plush but it doesn’t matter to me as long they are doing a great job. I recommend the salon

They do good work, but they are very loud and usually late. My appointment was at 8:00am, but the braider came in at 9:00am.

This has got to be the most ghetto, ratchet, tacky, unprofessional, messy«salon» I have ever been to in all of LA. I’ve been here a few times and only because Debbie(the owner) can be somewhat professional at times, and because Joy does good hair. If you go here, be prepared to hear the braiders arguing and cursing over your head. Yelling at their children, drama with their boyfriends, and just plain ratchetness. When people ask me where they can get their hair braided in LA, I make sure not to refer them to this place. I have done so once and I was so embarrassed when the person came back to me with story of how unprofessional they were and all the drama that occurred while she got her hair done. I probably could have sent many people their but I just refuse now. These folks need to learn some decorum and professionalism. They dont realize how much money they could be making. My sis just went to a braiding salon in Riverside and was greeted ON-TIME, with a smile, nice jazz music in the background, pleasant atmosphere & conversation, no arguing or yelling, a short conversation in the end about how to care for your braids, and believe it or not, a thank you card thanking her for her business. «LA’s Not So Finest» can learn a thing or two from this young woman in Riverside. I am a white male with dreadlocks. I originally went to a place in Inglewood called Touché Professionelle Hair to have my hair dreaded. This place became progressively unprofessional and shadier with each appointment. They wanted to charge me extra to fix the dreads that they screwed up! I had it with them and started researching other dread salons in LA and came across LA’s Finest Braidery. I made an appointment with Deborah, who was pleasant, professional, and did a fantastic job! If you want dreads then do yourself a favor and make an appointment with Deborah, especially if your hair is of a texture other than African. She knows what she’s doing! Thanks to her method of dreading hair, my dreads are the healthiest they’ve been to date!

I’ve been going here for years and have had just about everyone do my hair. Without doubt they have very talented people working there. I’ve never felt that I haven’t gotten my money’s worth after walking out. Are they loud? Yes. Gossipy? Yes. It’s part of the experience so sit back and relax. They’re also quick and friendly. For the past few years I’ve been going to Naomi who is fast and does an amazing job! Highly recommend!

Based on a previous Unilocaler, I made an appointment with Joy to do my hair. Just a press n curl. I originally made it for 5:00PM on a Thursday but called back to reschedule it for 11:00AM on that same Thursday. Well I show up and as I walk in a woman asks who I am and who scheduled me. It turned out she was Joy and was very surprised to see me at 11:00AM. She said that no one told her that I changed my appointment and she just happened to stop by the shop early. Hmmm. Anyway, Joy yells across the salon for an older woman to wash my hair. The woman screams back and has me sent to her. The older woman detangled my hair and deep conditioned it and actually left it feeling very soft. At this point I’m thinking, maybe they just speak very loud, I can deal with it, if she’s hooking up my hair like this… Well the entire time I was there, the staff were loud and argumentative with each other. Joy didn’t burn me once and she left my hair smelling great(not that processed smell) BUT the owner and her man had drama and I had to sit in the chair for over 2 hours witnessing it! Overall I’d say it was a catch-22 coming here. I was there for about 2 ½ hours and my hair length is just past my shoulders so it’s not very long, and I thought the actual pressing time took a little long but Joy left my hair bone straight and silky. The screaming and yelling really made me uncomfortable and I’m not sure I’d go back.

This time I got a weave; Joy was my girl! Again, $ 175 for the style. My appointment was at 7:00am(I got there at 7:30am, but they were VERY gracious), and I was, literally, out the door by 10:00am. Granted, my style was very simple: straight weave, some of my front left out, partial press, no cut, no drastic styling. I love this place and I plan on going back. The lively women make it interesting — — oh, and by the way, they’re Belizean NOT Jamaican! Gotta correct myself there :)
