This is a very americanized burrito truck. So don’t expect the food to taste like a real taco truck. The burrito was not very good. but the Mexican BLT was. The chicken has a bit of a citrus taste which was a good little kick to the sandwich and it pretty much stayed together even after bites(usually sandwiches fall apart). We ordered a side of chips and guacamole. The side of guac is cheap but the main cost is for the chips which is like $ 4. And they are HELLASALTY. I wouldn’t suggest on getting it especially with the small amount of guacamole they give you. It’s not worth it. The truck literally being inside the airport looks pretty cool which was what drew our attention to try it.

RIP Kogi LAX. Had a pork burrito and pork taco less than a week before you closed up, and it was delicious for airport food. No way the Border Grill that’s replacing you will come close.

I got the short rib burrito for $ 7 which was both tasty and great value. Top tip: take advantage of the plastic sauce cups and help yourself to some Sriracha hot sauce from the tables.

We made the decision to come to Kogi’s LAX location when we were flying out of the US Airways terminal 4(they have a shuttle going back and forth between terminals 4 and 6 without having to go through security, so it’s easy enough if you have a little time). Two of us shared a burrito, which was delicious and just the right amount of food. The cashier was nice; tables were available; and the food didn’t take too long at all. You can tell LAX/LAWA has been putting effort into getting quality, local restaurants at the airport. Can’t wait to fly through that terminal again so we can go back! ETA: I’m disappointed in hearing that they closed the Kogi truck. We may give the Border Grill truck replacement a try next time, but we’ll see.

Have I ever had a more delicious taco in an airport? Clearly not. The tacos here were crazy good. The slaw on top was delicious, well seasoned, and fresh. The meat was tender. It was messy and wonderful. I would love to have this again in the near future. If you’re passing by, make sure to stop. PS I got two large tacos for 5 $, it doesn’t get much better than that.

I found the truck right in front of my gate and was so excited to try it… except it was 845 am in the morning. They were only serving breakfast until 10 am but the tacos are still on the menu. SHORTRIBTACO Wow, the short rib melts in your mouth and has so much flavor. Great taco. I think onions and cilantro would be enough on top of this. BREAKFASTQUESADILLA Delicious quesadilla. The Kogi sauce was not even needed and I would actually ask for this sauce to be on the side next time. The cheese, egg and kimchi were so good as the stuffing. SIDEOFBACON Not impressed with this bacon. It was chewy and not crispy at all.

1st time trying Koji and I was liking it as soon as I saw the food truck parked inside the LAX airport terminal. I had heard of Koji prior and always wanted to give it a try and I got lucky to be at the correct terminal to experience this fine establishment. 1st off when I ordered there were no lines and I walked right up to the counter of the truck with no issues or delays. The person who took my order was friendly and answered the few questions I had about the menu items. I ordered 3 short rib tacos and they were served up in a about 5 minutes wait time. I ordered a beer from the bar directly next door to the food truck while waiting for my food. The overall experience from start to finish was great. The taste of the tacos, the service, and wait time were all positive. I look forward to coming again.

First of all, FOODTRUCKINTHEAIRPORT?!? I didn’t have high hopes because the reviews were pretty low on this. Line to order wasn’t too long and went by fast. Quick service and I received my food in less than 5 mins. I ordered the short run taco and the spicy pork. Both were flavorful! Wish I was able to try the calamari but they were out. Seemed like a good choice compared to all the other restaurants at the terminal.

Hello, you little food truck! How did you make your way into the airport? Oh wait, you’re glued to the floor, but you still have tires and a windshield and the convincing metal overhang on the side. With tacos for $ 2.70 each and burritos for $ 7, compared to the prices of the other eateries near the Kogi truck, your wallet will love this! Not only that, but your tastebuds will be delighted by the Asian-Mexican fusion found in these meals. They offer a few meat options with their tacos and burritos, among other specialties such as sliders, quesadillas, and a hotdog! Their iconic truck with its myriad of bumper stickers plastered all over it has an ordering and pickup window cut into one side along with a menu. There isn’t much seating, but why not take your food to go and eat at your gate? Make the other people around you jealous with all those good smells! Don’t forget napkins and a fork to scoop up all the lettuce that will inevitably fall from your stuffed taco! The Short Rib Tacos are unsurprisingly their most popular item. I got two and was delighted by the complex blend of flavors from the meat and the lettuce that was dressed in something delicious! There were some onions in there and a hint of cilantro, but other than that, my tastebuds are not specialized enough to tell! I couldn’t recommend these more– they’re amazing! There’s no need for cheese or salsa. These tacos carry big flavor all on their own. It was with pleasure and many happy cries from satisfied tastebuds that I looked down at my paper tray, its bottom soaked in flavorful sauce and flecked with oil spots. Then I immediately picked up my phone with greasy fingers to write this review!

Not only were we served with a frown and attitude, but our food was extremely underwhelming. If not for the sriracha, it would have gone in the garbage. I ordered the kimchi breakfast quesadilla with«egg” — so disappointing. The flavor just wasn’t there and the texture was gross. My boyfriend ordered the french toast with egg and hash browns, which he also didn’t like. He had difficulty even cutting into the brick of french toast and said that the eggs were definitely old and stale tasting. Would never recommend. Seek out Homeboy’s café!

The Service: very efficient. There is a big community table right in front of the truck. Yes! A real food truck inside the terminal, how cool is that! The Food: reasonable price, a little bit cheaper than other food vendor.

Lines move quick. Korean tacos are great. Asian twist to a mexican classic but still has that kick. A food truck in the lax airport??? This truck is located conveinetly at the entrance of terminal 4 lax airport. The lines are long but move super quick. About 10 min for a order. The combos are a great deal. Especially when drinks all over this terminal start at $ 4 for a bottled water. For $ 10 – 15 you can get a filling meal. I had the kogi slider. It was korean beef with a kim chi slaw on a mini bun. It looked smaller than it is bc it was actually really filling. The korean bbq flavours are strong but the slaw added a bit of a kick. Delicious. The iconic short rib taco was good. Short ribs in a korean slaw that tasted like a taco if i was in korea. Overall the food was good for the price. Only $ 20 for two people. A great place to hold you over during a layover! Yum.

I eat here regularly when I do my transfers in LAX. Nothing that will take your breath away but the flavours are really good. The amount of meat in the tacos and burritos are good so you finish satisfied. I just wish the tortillas are a little more«toastier» so give them a little crunch but maybe it’s about time because the line is usually long. I think the mix of korean bulgogi and tortillas is pretty good… the fusion is a right combination. Give it a try if you are in terminal 4.

Kogi BBQ. The famous truck who transformed the culinary world on the West Coast and started a nationwide movement. There are trucks that follow suit. However, the trend is dying out and all the trucks are moving to brick and mortar shops now. It wasn’t sustainable and people are over it. I have always been a fan of Kogi cause it’s Korean BBQ fused with Mexican tortillas. It’s every fatty’s food coma dream. I was kind of surprised to find the Kogi truck in Terminal 4. However, I was playing hard to get as I looked around for better options. It’s exactly what people do when they’re dating multiple people at once. They have everyone thrown in a ring and it’s a battle royale. Let the best sucker win! Truth be told. I went straight for Kogi cause I knew it would be satisfying and put me in a food coma. I went with the spicy pork burrito and short ribs taco. 1) Spicy Pork Burrito — It pretty much includes everything under the sun. There’s softly scrambled eggs, shredded cheddar, jack cheese, chopped onions, cilantro, romaine lettuce, and cabbage tossed in Korean chili-soy vinaigrette. In addition, it’s a bit salty with a dash of our sesame-chili salsa roja. The combination with pork butt makes it spicy, juicy and savory. It’s one of those things you eat after a night of drinking but it taste good without the alcohol. 2) Short Ribs Taco — It’s caramelized Korean barbecue short rib at the bottom. The slaw is laid on top of the short rib and on top of the slaw is the cilantro, onion, and lime relish. It’s a taco straight out of K-Town without the soju, annoying bell at restaurants, prejudice and pretentious stares. Overall, it’s a bit pricier than the street trucks but that’s expected. The consistency of the food is a bit off but it wasn’t too much off. They still have the basic flavors of the meats and ingredients. I rather have Kogi then McDonald’s. Quality grease over sh*tty grease.

So the old saying«when in Rome…» Certainly applies at the Kogi Food Truck located at LAX neat Gate 48. For those that are not familiar with the famous Kogi Food Trucks, they are known for their Korean/Mexican food fusion-short rib, chicken, kimchi, spicy tacos and burritos. The Kogi Food Truck inside the airport is a brilliant marketing idea! Tips: Stick with the Kogi prepared meats that are served as tacos and burritos. The meats are on point with the spices and added kimchi. Keep in mind the«street tacos» albeit addicting are itty bitty tiny little cute things of beauty @ $ 3.90 per… pricey but nevertheless well worth it. Stay away from the French toast and scrambled eggs. The French toast is dry(what happened to the egg in French toast?) and the eggs where super overdone and rubbery. The service was good.

For years I heard my friends rave about the Kogi truck and how great the tacos were. For one reason or another I always missed the truck and it seemed that my dreams of having Kogi tacos would never be realized. Then one day while at LAX on our way back east as my husband walked around the AA terminal looking for coffee and behold he came upon a Kogi truck inside the airport. We instantly knew that we had to try one of everything. Thus we ordered 1-spicy pork, 1-short rib, 1-chicken taco along with 1-spicy pork burrito. It took quite a bit to get our food, we didn’t mind since we figured Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither were Kogi tacos. Well, after our taco tasting, we come to the conclusion that Rome had of been build in decades where as Kogi tacos could have been made in seconds flat! Honestly we are baffled and don’t understand what all the hype is about. There was absolutely nothing special or spectacular about Kogi. The taste did not amuse, it didn’t elicit joy from our taste buds nor did it feel like something new and exotic. They were garnished with too much cabbage and were overall sweeter than we like. Everything had the same taste just different textures… I think I’ll stick with either: King Taco, Taco Nazo or Gavilan. Their tacos are far superior and best part they taste like what they are suppose to. Like every other business inside LAX, Kogi is overpriced and extremely overrated.

There is literally a taco truck inside this airport. Like the entire truck. I’m a huge fan of Korean burrito’s as I was a huge Mogo’s fan once upon a time, until they decided to reduce the size of their food, while increasing the price of almost everything by about 25%. While the food here is not quite as good as Mogo’s it’s still pretty darn good! It’s cheaper than Mogo’s which is surprising since this is inside an airport. Plus, they also have a calamari taco! I can’t believe I’ve never had one of those until yesterday. The short rib burrito was great, albeit a bit cold. The meat was warm, but everything else was a little too chilly. Still, I really enjoyed this place and would try it again if I were in the this airport.

I just wished I seen this sooner. If this place was known, I would have not spent my money on another overpriced breakfast sandwich that is still in my carry on, where I am still debating if I should eat it or not. Kogi at the terminal has the all the classics of what Kogi is known for and more. I never saw a truck with breakfast and I just wanted to try it. I was a little mislead by the item that I ordered, but was sooooo hungry that I didn’t care. The menu stated French toast slider with egg and hashbrown. I didn’t know it was going to be deconstructed. I was expecting a sandwich I was going to eat with my hands, but oh well… it was still delicious. Kogi is awesome and now available inside the terminals. What’s next for one of LA’s best food truck.

I’m becoming optimistic towards airport food because of businesses like Kogi BBQ. It’s refreshing to see taco stand alongside overpriced restaurant chains. Fusion gourmet tacos are under $ 3 a piece. We tried the spicy pork and short rib. They came out in less than 10 min, yummy, and worthy the $ 2.70 every bite. I can finally ditch the $ 15 burger in this temporary cannibalistic prison called airport terminal. Preferred and recommended.

Yea, yea, yea, I should have known better than to expect anything from airport food. But having been to my fair share of airports, Roy Choi’s Kogi BBQ inside the American Airlines terminal at LAX is probably one of the most deplorable experiences I have ever had. A part of me wants to lace this review with profanities, but I know the fanboys will flag my review so I will definitely hold my F-bombs back. The only reason I decided to try Kogi BBQ again after my less than favorable impression with them a few years ago when the whole«food truck craze» started was because the entire American Airlines terminal is filled with suckage. Wolfgang Puck Express should replace the P in Puck with the 6th letter of the alphabet and Homeboy Bakery is a company that employs formerly incarcerated gangbangers in an attempt to rehabilitate them, but for what you get it feels like the Homeboys are still robbing you. So that is how I ended up at Kogi BBQ in Terminal 4 due to a business trip to the Midwest and ended up ordering two of the most pathetic short rib beef tacos and a marked-up soda that came out to $ 10. Look, I don’t mind paying for overpriced airport food as long as it tastes decent and is somewhat filling. A part of me had wished I had flown United located in Terminal 7 where I had a better experience with The Counter or Virgin America in Terminal 3 where even Burger King would have been a better meal. These fusion tacos were tiny and had a circumference the size of a pygmy’s palm. And unlike their namesake, Kogi(which means meat in Korean), the short rib tacos were devoid of any beef. In fact, these tacos were mostly lettuce and scallions served with an overly sweet sauce that tasted like upchuck when you eat too much at a real Korean BBQ. Also, the tortillas were so stale that they felt like they were cooked the day before. Beware! Do not try to chew these tortillas because they will dislocate your TMJ-joint. I mean where the hell is the soul in this Seoul food? How can any respectable chef attach their name to such a crappy place? Then again, the food is prepared in a gimmicky FAKE food truck with no quality control by workers that appeared to just not give a «Wolfgang Puck». And of course, the chef is Roy Choi, who is turning into a blatant and shameless sell-out… And the thing is, I like his restaurant Chego in Chinatown. So yes, Roy Choi has officially reached«Skinner-status» from Ratatouille. What’s next chef? Are you going to follow Wolfgang and sell Pucking frozen food? Mehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Next time, I am stopping by In-N-Out before flying American Airlines. — — — — — — - Proof I am not a troll.
