Kelly’s Coffee & Fudge

After writing a few reviews, I have discovered that I am really into the cleanliness of the establishment I write about.
This place is clean. The coffee condiment counter is spotless and everything is in its place. The lady who works the counter is very sweet and polite. They have breakfast pastries and cookies and cakes here … All looked yummy. My daughter bought croissant and really liked it. Heir coffee isn’t bad either.

this review is for their ved velvet cupcakes. definitely worthy of 5 stars.

Meh, I wouldn’t bother if I were you… I thought this place would be dangerous to live nearby to… Can’t say I’ll ever go back. The girl working was less than delightful and not all that helpful in suggesting things to try. I was sooooo disappointed with the fudge. My gram’s fudge blows this ish out of the water! I also tried the pecan bar (tasteless) and some of the Oreos and graham crackers… Everything was just «ok.» Definitely too pricy for the quality.

Great customer service, great food, great coffee, amazing pizza bagel .

Coffee is always there to serve your self. Always hot!
The staff is very friendly.
The food is delicious, they have bagels, muffins, croissants, hot dogs, and lots of drink choices .
If you need a coffee and a place to sit and take a break this place a cool for that.

My girlfriend and I went on a stroll Sunday morning in downtown LA and came across this location. What drew me in here with all the sweet treats that they had in their display cases. They have delicious fudge and many other sweet treats. I also got the Peach Smoothie which was very refreshing. what I loved most about this location is the allowed for me to get breakfast at a late hour, what more can you ask for? Whoever said breakfast was just for the morning was crazy because I love breakfast at all times! thank you for the variety that you offered and I will certainly back to visit this location again! Also I do want to make a note that the man that was running the counter I did not catch his name was very kind even with all the excessive amount of treats that I ordered and the line that we created in his business he was very patient and this is another reason why I will come back.

Just your typical coffee restaurant. I don’t know if it’s part of a franchise but it certainly had that feel to it. Coffee was good, not great. just coffee.

Walk in, see they have a chicken panini.

«Turkey and cheese.»
«No other condiments?» (Headshake) «I’ll have that.»
Of course it’s served with mustard. I’m spite eating the sandwich, but never again.

I went out of my way to satisfy my craving for fudge earlier today after lunch and was told there is no fudge at all. I asked when the next batches would be available and he said maybe next week with a joking attitude that suggested even that forecast may have been a little too optimistic.
Looking at an earlier review it seems fudge is hard to come by, which I agree is unacceptable at a place promoting fudge in its very name.
The only thing keeping me from giving a 1 star review is simply the fact that i’ve purchased fudge in the past from this location. Albeit being a bit old & dry in look and taste, it was acceptable and I will go out of my way to try my luck again in the near future.

My favorite downtown coffee shop. I always order a macchiato with soy and extra Carmel, it’s always made fresh and delicious, they even have soy, much better taste and value than the larger brands, definitely recommend to try it

Came in here to get fudge & low N behold they didn’t have any fudge. How do you not have any fudge at a fudge factory. Your name specializes in fudge & you don’t even carry any for over a week.
Also the shop manager was rude when asking him a price on a item he quoted me $ 2.50 when he goes to ring up a marshmallow it was almost $ 5
To top off my experience this dudes IPad got jacked in the shop while he threw some of his trash away
No Fudge, Bad Service, & Sketch atmosphere

Went to Mac & Cheese place– they said use the bathroom at Kelly’s. NOPE! while shopping for fudge you may not use the bathroom unless you purchase! Rude!

We ordered delivery for work and had about six orders or so, with many, many substitutions and changes. Surprisingly, they didn’t mess up on any of our orders!
I got the #6 Californian Chicken Panini and it was a very tasty and light sandwich. Of course I’d made some changes but overall the sandwich is very basic; chicken breast, lettuce, tomatos, and light mayo on ciabatta bread. No frills, simple, and tasty.
Definitely going to be one of my go-​to spots for lunch during work!

Nice and quiet part of downtown, but they blast music inside. Only had tea, which was standard, but not a great place to stay a while and work.

If you can’t tell the difference between sliced cheese and cream cheese, you like your cucumber warm and you like waiting 45 mins for a bagel… this is the place for you.

This place used to be ok, but since they’ve changed the staff it is horrible.
I’ve tried several times to go back thinking it was a one time exception but the service keeps being below standard. From forgetting the most basic things over and over again and not paying attention to the customers… that is not ok.
This place is in a great location and it would do so much better if the service improved, seriously!

Coffee is terrible, and they got rid of the amazing staff that used to be there…
Only reason its getting two stars out of me is because the breakfast sandwiches are actually REALLY good!

So clean and neat. The food was great but a little short staff. Well it was labor day. Thank god they were open.

Turkey Panini was the best Panini I have EVER had! The dark chocolate covered almonds and the dark chocolate haystacks were excelent too! They also have wifi.
Damn Unilocalers! Thanks for the suggestion. I needed a place to touchdown my laptop and work for an hour before my Pilates class at Pilates Plus DTLA (nearby).
Needless to say, I may have consumed more calories than I will have burned in my pilates class…

I’ve been holding off on reviewing this place, just because I wanted to get it right. The verdict is: good!
My favorite thing to get here is a Ham & Cheese Croissant sandwich. The way the sweet bread mixes with the cheese and meat will make your taste buds very glad that you went there for lunch! (Sandwiches on regular bread are o.k. too).
But, what’s really great about this place, is their real effort on food presentation. One time one of the worker’s there was really pleased with himself after he arranged my sandwich and (delicious and crunchy) Cesar Salad side by side in a foam container.
Another thing you might like is their pizza bagel. It’s just Ragu sauce and (lots of) cheese, but for $ 2, it’s a deal!

Love that Kelly’s is in my building!
I take my coffee mug down every morning and am greeted by their friendly staff! Rather than waste a throw away cup, I fill my mug, sometimes buy a muffin, and head back to work. And they stamp my card for a free cup.
I often don’t have time to travel out and about for lunch, and love their fresh healthy sandwhiches! My favorite is Kelly’s sub, the Tuna on Wheat, or their fresh salads with all the fix’ns!
Several times I’ve had photo shoots with hair & make-​up, stylists, talent, and I just call down for several items and have them deliver!
Love it when they add a couple slices of fudge as a «Thank you!»
They’re always friendly and helpful … and try asking for the «Michael Special» … it’s not on the menu!
