this is my getaway food joint. it’s hidden and i like it that way because i love the bbq pork here. i usually just get the dishes and not the combo because it’s just better portions of the things i want. still comes out pretty cheap. i still need to try the deep fried stuff but i’m pretty sold on that bbq pork. it’s tender and the sauce is not too sweet and you can always ask them to add more. also, they separate the beef and broccoli, nice touch to keeping them crunchy but make sure the ladies give you good portions of the beef. when it comes to the orange chicken and it comes out fresh, i let that sit just so the sauce permeates and thickens. the kung pao has a nice soft kick, i eat that with white rice. and the green beans still got that crisp too. it’s a quaint little place with a few tables and few locals chowing down. i order takeout anyway, go back home and chill with the food. business is good.

My family has been coming to this spot for years, even when they were further north in the same strip mall and everything was made to order. Even the hot table food is good. Plentiful and fresh. The best items, however, are not on the steam table! Don’t hesitate to try their other foods. This is my go-to catering spot now. The chicken with black bean sauce is great, and after Kay Kay’s kung pao, I don’t enjoy it anywhere else! If you have a regular appetite and order a 2 or 3 item combo, better prepare to eat it for about 3 meals! There’s that much food. I’ve had better chow mein, but this place is great for the price. If only they made foo yung!

For its price, the food here is great! Great portion, flavor, and choices here. Bbq pork. chicken with green beans, and the chicken wings were all fantastic. This is Panda before they got rich and sold their souls to high rises

The best Chinese fast food place ever. The BBQ pork was yummy, not dry like most places. The prices are lower than low. I’m coming back for sure. The portions are large and all the food looks fresh. I had the Orange chicken which was pretty good but what stole the show was the BBQ pork. It was tender and juicy which is hard to do because the pork dries out very fast. I’m guessing the cooks are very experienced. To have a place like this, you definitely know your stuff. I highly recommend. Typical combos… Fried rice and chow mein plus one two or three items. I got two items and it was only $ 6.00! The whole container was filled to the max. They are not stingy about the items like most places. They want to see you satisfied and full. I asked the lady what’s good and she confidently said, EVERYTHING! you know how sometimes cashiers will give you a hard time if the amount is low and you use a credit card… Well not here, the lady waived the .30 cent charge and didn’t even trip when I pulled out the card. So happy I found Kay Kay!

I didn’t even know this place existed until I went to subway and noticed it. My sister and I wanted to eat subway and my husband really wanted chinese food. I didn’t want to drive all the way to panda express so I was just going to buy him a sub. Then my sister told me there was a small chinese food place next to subway. Well I didn’t believe her because I have been to subway many times and never seen it. So when I went I couldn’t believe it. There it was. How was it possible for me to ignore it all these years. Honestly, I love chinese food so I skipped subway and dedcided to try it. I went in and there was about 3 peopl ahead of me. The food looked fresh. It didn’t look stale or old. They had no rice or chow mein so we had to wait a while because they were making it. I asked to try the orange chicken and teriyaki chicken. The lady was very nice about it and gave my sister some too. I didn’t really like the orange chicken, but the teriyaki was good. When the rice and chow mien was finally ready the line went so much faster. Everyone knew what they wanted already. I gave them 4 stars because this place is very inexpensive and they pack the plate of food. It’s very heavy plate and we go there so they put them in two bags.

Take the fact that this is in a busy strip mall, cheap and heaping portions. It’s a winner. I’ll tell you why: their fried chicken wings are the bomb. All hot, sprinkled with pepper, seasoning and scallions. Deeeeelish. No it’s Kyochon or some other fancy wing. But they are dang good! We are talking delish to the point that at any friend gathering people want me to bring the wings from Kay Kay. When I get dropped off after dodger games my friends will drop by Kay Kay to get the wings. My friends have also enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, teriyaki chicken and pork. Give it a try if you are local or need to bring bomb wings to a party.(Yes they do party trays.)

If you’re looking for great tasting, authentic, fresh, Chinese food, look no further than Kay Kay’s. Now this little hidden gem is located in a somewhat questionable shopping center. However, if you can look past that you wont be disappointed. Prices range from $ 4-$ 9 and the portion size are ridiculously huge. So much that you can easily share a chow mein and fried rice plus two item combo with someone else and still have leftovers for tomorrows breakfast or lunch, yum!

First of all, adjust your expectations. This is one of the many strip mall Chinese food take out spots that you find all over the city. I don’t recommend staying and eating there, but as a take out spot, this is great. The food seemed fresh, the veggies are crunchy and bright. I always think one of the tests of good take out Chinese food is the beef broccoli. They keep their beef and broccoli separated until you ask for it to ensure that the broccoli isn’t sad and limp. Their green bean chicken also had crunchy veggies. Overall a really solid choice for take out. Here is a video of Kay Kay:

This place is under ownership since I was last here. There was a long line from when I got there and when I left. The flavors are authentic. And what do you know, no latinos as chefs. I’m latina. The food had an authentic flavor. My favorite was the green beans that Wowed me and threw bar b questions or want dried out or overly sweet and oily. Will be coming back. Service is fast.

I would frequent this place often because at the time I lived in the area. I stopped going when I saw the cook SPIT into the oil he was cooking in. I shared with him I saw him spit in the oil, his response was«it burns off all the germs anyway.» NEVER have I set foot I. There again. The world could be destroyed by nuclear bombs and Kay Kay was the only business that survived, I still wouldn’t go!

I came here to eat with my mother because she always recommended it based off the fact that it was always busy place of business. Trying out the food I can see why a lot of people come to this place not only did we receive really quick service by staff but here they are quick to run out of food but refill quickly to serve customers as best as they can. I break it down in the sense that my plate that had both chow mein and rice with two other items cost way less than other Chinese food spots. I recommend this place if you’re in the mood for Chinese food also the parking situation isn’t that bad. A good spot indeed.

What can one say about Kay Kay’s? It’s like fast food that is Chinese rather than burger and fries! I go here about one or two times a year. The food is the same always and does not change. I usually hey teriyaki chicken with steamed rice or they have a version if Orange Chicken that is not bad at all with some fresh steamed rice. Overall, if you want cheap and not bad this is the place for you!!!

You go here because yo know you want chinese american food that doesn’t cost much. This isn’t purely authentic and it’s not suposed to be. This spot fills your craving and they are very nice! Their BBQ Pork is delicious! Their Chow Mein is good and other entres are pretty good as well. They over stuff your Styrofoam container and bare charge you. They are not skimpy with their shrimp like Panda is… and your meal will most likely be under $ 5.
